Col Deadmarsh
First of all, why is one of my units blinking really fast? What does that mean? I can't find the answer anywhere. Secondly, is there a mod that gets rid of the blinking for selected units and just makes it a solid orange color instead? I don't get the need for the blinking added on top of that and I REALLY, REALLY hate things that blink incessently. The slow blinking units are bad enough but this one that's blinking fast is driving me nuts.
Rokko
Slow blinking means that that unit is selected, fast blinking means that that unit has sufferd casualties, or is exiting the map.

Holman
As much as you hate that fast blinking, your troops hate it more.
Rokko
What I don't like is that the same blinking occurs when you move troops into an exit zone and the icon also fades as if the unit was rattled or panicked. I know that I just sent them there, but I am still conditioned to suffer a heart attack when the blinking occurs
c3k
And the casualty blink shuts off in a few seconds. Michael Since the default "fast forward" is in 5 second increments, the blinking lasts 6 or 7 seconds. That ensures that you will not miss a unit taking casualties when you fast forward.
Col Deadmarsh
And the casualty blink shuts off in a few seconds. Michael That's what I thought, but one of my units that has suffered casualties is blinking fast continually during the 'move' turn. Surely, it's not supposed to do that.

Surely, it's not supposed to do that. Occasionally the icons appear to blink when your viewing angle is just precisely wrong. Sometimes I seem to hit an invisible horizon angle, and icons in a part of the map will disappear then reappear when I move my p.o.v. Perhaps the units' own movement could produce the same effect.

Tells you the unit has just taken casualties.
