baron Jacquinot
I want ask one question - why German infantry never use panzerfaust 30k, it's game bug or what?
Rokko
I just tried it out and the 30k was used and it did grill that Stuart. They don't use it at ranges past 30m though.

baron Jacquinot
short video, group of infantry with Pzfaust 30 and Pzfaust 30k attack two tanks, but Pzfaust 30k not used -
Rokko
Well seems like that was an isolated incident. He used his grenade first despite having a Panzerfaust on his back and got killed quickly thereafter. It's definately no general issue. And yes, it was definately a 30k in my test.
Sublime
Yeah. Perhaps you should have tested it more Baron, I've definitely seen 30ks fire..?
baron Jacquinot
I never saw that 30k fire in game, and why soldier use hand grenade first?
sburke
Never mind, I can't actually validate which PF type was used in the particular shot I was going to cite. Nice shooting with the PF you were able to fire.
poesel
I can report a recent incident where a PzFaust30k immobilzed a M8 and I'm pretty sure it was the 'k' because of the 7 Schreck teams + ample normal Fausts it was of course the team with the k that got the only enemy armour.
Mord
I tested this earlier. The 30k fires just fine but like the other faust, you have to be in spitting range to get your guys to use them. From the looks of the video your guys got off one regular faust shot (resulting in a kill) then were hammered by the second tank. I don't think this incident would be considered an ideal situation. You charged two Shermans head-on with a squad, I was surprised your guys were able get in the licks they did. If you hadn't been suppressed and murdered within a couple seconds the guy might have fired the 30k. Try it from an ambush position where your guys aren't taking a mass of incoming, panicking, cowering, and dying, and I'll bet you get a different outcome. I'd chalk the grenade throw up to; panic, stress, chaos, 100 rounds of incoming machine gun fire, and the other tank crew running around in the background. Mord.
Rokko
Also, handgrenades are quick to grab and throw. I'm rereading Storms of Steel by E.J. atm and there is one incident where he describes a shadowy figure appearing in front of him in a nighttime action and reacts by instantly throwing a grenade after him. It happened to be a friendly NCO who luckily wasn't hurt by it.

John Kettler
How I wish Panzerfausts and such were under user control, instead of the AI. This becomes especially important when conducting an ambush. Speaking of Ambush, how I miss that useful command. Childress
Speaking of Ambush, how I miss that useful command. Steve says he misses it too. So stay tuned. The solution always seemed rather simple to me: Hiding troops= maximum concealment. Hiding troops + Cover Arc = Ambush. And slightly less concealment.
