Dark Knight
Hey, I thought one of the grogs here would be able to tell me what tank this is in this liveleak video: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=a56_1327614706 It's at the 2:01 minute mark and I'm curious because it looks so... small.

JonS
See that bar linking the road wheels? It's a Panzer-I. edit: lol edit2: IIRC, that big white cross indicates footage from the Polish campaign.
noob
Yes it's a Panzer 1, maybe the only tank with two main weapons mounted in the turret, formidable

Even if we consider two machineguns to count as 'main weapons', it's trumped by Wirbelwind's quad 20mm guns.

They do count as main weapons as they were the only weapons it had A Wirbelwind is not a tank
Sergei
Flakpanzer is still a Panzer!
Glukx Ouglouk
Flakpanzer is still a panzer, but not a panzerkampfwagen. It is an AFV, but it is not a tank.
Vark
Interestingly at 2:08 a Pz1 is leading a column of PzII's, a little later on the PZII's are seen negotiating a downward slope. Wish there was a 1939-40 module, lots of small sharp engagements, quite well matched, and ideal for the scale of the game.
Sergei
Flakpanzer is still a panzer, but not a panzerkampfwagen. It is an AFV, but it is not a tank. Counterpoint: neither is Panzer I, its full designation was Panzerwitzwagen Eins.

slysniper
Who, let the grogs loose. Can you just answer a question and then leave it alone. Answer, No Just have to turn it into a debate of details

CMBN's scale would indeed, as Vark says, be ideal for small early war engagements with those early war AC's and tanks. Its 1:1 modelling would even ( I believe ) successfully model the shortcomings of 1 man turrets etc. Boyes AT rifles vs PzI's and II's... Oh the wishlist is taking me over again...

Erwin
IIRC, PzI's + PzII's were the most common tanks the Germans had when they invaded Poland.
gautrek
Wish there was a 1939-40 module, lots of small sharp engagements, quite well matched, and ideal for the scale of the game. That was what was so much fun about CMBB.The early war stuff pinging shots of each other all game.
Vark
That was what was so much fun about CMBB.The early war stuff pinging shots of each other all game. To be honest I'd be quite happy to dispense with the graphical improvements, go back to a less engineered approach (which paradoxically gives less accurate results as the theoretically possible replaces the historically probable) if it meant greater flexibility with the engine. I doubt my interest will be maintained having to wait 1-3 years before a playable Russian Front module appears (which will cover a period I'm not that interested in). If only Tac-ops could sort out its one level of elevation, or SP could institute simultaneous movement, sigh. Still have CMBB, so cannot complain, especially since my son is now showing an interest and he is very aggressive, most of the time he looks at the screen and says, "what can I shoot?"
