  1. I did not try this one. An advice is to play the big version "Hot time in Hatten" which is worth playing. In this version you have tanks support with your infantry to take the town.
  2. Sometimes it's impossible to give budy aid with another unit. The men of the unit are above the wounded guy but don't give budy aid. It's like they didn't see him. I try moving them, give a new orientation but nothing happens. Is this a bug or should i do something else ?

  4. In CMBN manual, it's written in the map editor chapter and it corresponds to what WimO wrote. Never found any informations on that in the CMFB manual which is very limited.
  5. Hello, Maybe you already saw Armchair General videos, if not it can help. Personnaly, I play in a realistic and immersive manner and try to learn from my errors. I feel like it helps me progress.
  6. It's not "Kampfgruppe Peiper" but "the road to Bastogne". Maybe it's not possible with Wespes or Priests but it's possible with Grilles.
  7. I remember having played CMFB campaign "the road to Bastogne". In mission 3 you have Grille on map that you can use for indirect fire support.
  8. Playing the first mission of the Spearhead campaign. Is there a method of knowing whether the artillery available at the beginning of the mission should be used, otherwise it will be lost, or whether it can be kept for the next mission ?

  13. It’s a good scenario worth playing. Maybe too easy. There are not all the German troops at the beginning but the map is very large. Did you try with the lowest model and texture quality?
  14. The first scenario played was Exploitation. Nice map and some novelties with the Wasp and the Kangaroo but rather difficult. This ended in tactical defeat. In this type of scenario the effectiveness of the artillery is decisive and mine was not very precise despite a veteran advanced observer with +2 in leadership (the incovenients of the Iron level). I appreciated the firepower of the Kangaroo in which the machine gun is well protected. A bad surprise was the long-range accuracy of the Panzerschreck which seems much more effective than in 1944 (the shooters were regular).

  16. It seems more difficult for the germans against a human player. Against the AI it was very enjoyable except the time limit too tight (it's frustrating when you are so close to the objective).
  17. Finished with the Germans against the AI with a minor victory. This is an excellent scenario very pleasant to play, thanks to the designer Jon Martina. There are many tactical options, you choose where to send your troops. I ran out of time to conquer the Western Hatten objective, having been too cautious to advance in the city. The German player is reinforced with 150 mm howitzers that are not mentioned in the briefing. Spoilers…. It is a scenario that is in two very different parts. The first infantry-based game in urban terrain was rather easy with a strange plan of the AI in which all his troops converged towards the church. They were surrounded and destroyed. The objectives were conquered with very few casualties, most of my infantry and tanks were not used. The enemy’s objectives are not the same as yours, so an advice is to occupy the whole city and not just your objectives. Another advice is to move quickly to approach the western part and to position the units that can direct the artillery as soon as it arrives because using the howitzers takes a lot of time. When the reinforcements arrive, the time limit of one hour is a bit fair if you play too carefully. The objective is to take the western part of Hatten, attacking Rittershoffen seems unrealistic. It is possible to cross the railway downstream from the station and head directly with the tanks on the objective while the panzergrenadiers infiltrate the city. Bypass the city further west does not seem a good idea because the enemy is in force on this side. I was surprised by the lack of a counter-attack especially on the northern part of the city. Some tanks approached but did not attack. So it doesn’t seem necessary to leave too much troops behind.
  18. I started with CMBB then CMAK which I played for many years thanks to the mod CMETO which allowed to play the fights of Normandy and Ardennes. Then CMBN and CMFB because I am especially interested in this field of operation on which there are many detailed historical sources.

  21. But CMx3 means less interest playing CMx2 nor buying a new pack like Utah. Not really a good deal for BFC...
