  1. Is it possible for AA to reload in game? for example, the M-48 CHAPARRAL reload in-game, It comes with 4 missiles loaded but once those are expended, is that it?
  2. One of the biggest things I'm wondering about CMCW is how much effective use can we bank on getting out of air assets? From Heli's to Strike Aircraft, I'm curious as to the amount of effectiveness they will have on the battle overall considering the effectiveness of the then modern SPAA. Anyone with knowledge on this care to shed some insight on how to effectively use aircraft, what kind of aircraft will make the most difference, and if our ground assets should be deployed / used differently to help void some of the effect of these aircraft?
  3. IMO it's over for Bil. He doesn't have the forces necessary to deal with the threat pre-entering the treeline. GG
  4. How much time have you had with the M60A2? I'm curious as to it's performance against T-64s.
  5. Same, very interesting to see a CM game include it imo
  6. Thank you, this trial game is extremely helpful for refining the ruleset for the public games.
  7. Update on the game so far, The Soviet Team is clearing down the highway while the Mujahideen are moving into setup position.
  8. The MT-12 will be very very interesting to use. I really enjoyed a video of the East Germans using them that was in the recommended videos thread. As long as the M60A1 keeps it's distance, 225mm of pen at 1000m won't get through it's upper glacis (258mm effectively) or the front of the turret at 250mm (Just as you said). The 3UBK8 (HEAT) offer 400mm of pen but has a max effective range of 1000m (according to wikipedia). I don't know what it is point blank pen is though. The M48A5 has only 220mm of armor on the upper glacis (110 mm (4.3 in) at 60°), and 178mm on the turret front. The MT-12 won't have any problems sub 1000m. Do you have any data on the UBM6 and BM8 HVAPDS? I can't find any.
  9. Yes I immediately thought about the curve of the T-55 and the other very similarly shaped tanks bouncing a lot of shells haha. It seems like the M48A5 is going to want to stay hidden most of the time. Even though it's absolutely massive.
  10. Poor poor M48A5, haha. I will be interested in testing it once it's out. With 300mm of pen on RHA it will still be a good way to crush anything lighter than the more (relative to 1979) modern Soviet Tanks.
  11. What kind of penetration does M728 offer compared to M735?
  12. I think BAOR, West Germany, and East Germany are super obvious inclusions. If I was to take any bets on follow on modules it would be those three.
  13. It will be interesting to see the M48A5 trying to keep up with the other armored vehicles of the era. It's just barely at the end of its service life but I'm very glad they stuffed it in. I wonder if it can go toe to toe with a T-55A.
  14. It's interesting how much functionality they were able to stuff into the M60A3 TTS's FCS. Unfortunately it has no concept of it's own movement. What's more quirky about it is that it tracks the last 1.5 seconds of movements (turret rotation) So once you lase a target you have to dump the lead manually every time (unless you want to wait 1.5 seconds before lasing).
  15. Rushing all his assets might get him into town but it won't guarantee anything beyond that. Burning all your assets isn't worth it imo
  16. Nothing too crazy, very simple like the AK mount. You just insert the PK into the mechanism. The point of the contraption is to keep the PK connected to the glass plate. I wonder if there's a way to connect any tube that vents gas like on the AKM.
  17. Since you worked on the game, can you provide some insight as the infantry dynamic? When US infantry engage Russian infantry, who usually ends up on top? Once they get into the Town I'm curious if the US infantry will make up for their low numbers.
  18. It would definitely be an interesting strat if the Capt decides to use his infantry as M60 bait.
  19. Judging by what we've seen so far I'd agree. It seems that Capt has been using his BMPs fairly liberally. But then again, he has a lot of them, + his tanks will prove an issue for Bil I believe. As long as Bil can stop Capt from entering the town then the game is definitely seems to be in his favor.
