  1. I think (but I would wait for others to confirm as I don't have FB) that the 2.03 version patches any version from 2.0 onwards up to 2.03.

This is despite what the Readme says, which does as you say stipulate that you must already have 2.02.  If I'm right, perhaps someone didn't read the Readme carefully enough before it went live 😉.

Здравствуйте уважаемые читатели, хотелось бы узнать, возможно- ли чтобы разработчики сделали мастерскую для игры в Steam?

    Hello HaraldViking, welcome!

I'm afraid I had to resort to Google translate, which gave me this:
Hello dear readers, I would like to know if it is possible for the developers to make a workshop for the game on Steam?

If the question relates to the Afghanistan game I'm not sure there are any plans for Steam (either the game or a workshop), but others may come along with comments.  A note on the BFC site says this:

IMPORTANT: this game was released as a joint venture with a Russian developer and is no longer in active development. The game is based on the original Shock Force game engine and is not upgradable.

As SF2 is on Steam that is more of a possibility, but I'm still not sure the idea of a workshop is under consideration.

How does a Panzer III with a 50mm gun take on a T-34?

At that stage of the war I would imagine with a lot of trepidation and no expectation of success?

a very hastily put together German force based on anything with tracks and a gun

Those Pz IIIs look straight from the factory, with no camo scheme and not even any markings 😉.  I think however that they stopped making Pz IIIs in 1943 so there's probably another good reason for this...

You can see it in the background here:

@umlaut you inspired me to load up the Bitvagorod map to have a look.  Of course as a new RT user I grabbed it earlier this year (and the mods) in the frenzy of 'grab everything', but never tried it.  Looks great and will try the battle soon.  Question, did you ever develop the battle more or have I got the latest one which was part of the mod download?

Anyway @Léopold's work is looking good and your input and others can only be a good thing.  Thanks to all!

  5. Can you get taller somehow for that bit on the front?  I'm reminded of the 'Holy Ground' scenario in BN which had (from memory) a 7 story cathedral.

However you may already be up to that height looking at the windows 😉.

Please keep up the good work though, looking forward to fighting around that iconic building...

Yup.  100% correct (unfortunately).  Must have spent dozens of hours messing with the nVidia options.  That's why am hoping someone who is knowledgeable and who has a good nVidia options set-up can let us all know the optimal settings for your mod.

Just fired up the Nvidia Control Panel (by right-clicking on desktop if anyone happens to wonder) and added CMBN for seperate control.  Changed to settings in one of the threads shown above although I see there were issues even then.  I got flickering trees, which is not good so have removed CMBN from the Panel for now as I have a campaign to get on with.  Might try again later...

Ah, I think the light patch is an effect of LOD and those mini ground tiles...

Thnaks for taking the time with all of that.  It makes me think I need to experiment with settings a bit more and also the different res versions of the mod.  If all else fails I can blame my GTX 1060...

For what its worth I'm using Vsync off, 3D models better, 3D texture quality better, Tree detail high, Shaders On.

    Does that sound about right?

The draw distance on crops in fields can be as low as 35m in the really dark shots above, up to perhaps 90m on a sunny day.  Don't think I ever get the 350-400m you mentioned.  Unless our definitions of draw distance are different of course.

And there was me thinking it was longevity on the forum, eighteen years and a senior for the last three or so, which was actually down to the flick of a switch!

Interestingly (perhaps just to me 😉 but anyway) I only joined in May and became a Senior Member about a month later.  I have seen others with many years under their belts, with more posts and more likes and they are still shown as Junior Members.  Plus my switch was not 'flicked' until 2 days ago as reported earlier in this thread, and my date of birth had not been entered either (but it may be on the BFC site).

So it's still a mystery to me.

I didn't know there was such a thing as an "upgrade". The "Enable status updates" takes you from Junior to Senior. After that you can call yourself what you like.

I was very quickly upgraded to senior somehow, not of my own making.  Not a problem.

However, the bit about calling yourself what you like does not seem to be an option for me, again not a problem but perhaps we've identified a forum glitch?  I've seen two cats tonight, but they're both my own, and normally try to sit on my keyboard or behind the heat exhausts 🐈😉.

At this rate I can see myself being put back to Junior or even Juvenile member...

  10. It's dark, oh so dark...

I'm play testing a nice campaign in Nothern France (nudge, nudge, say no more) and its early in the morning...

Someone seems to have left a light on in the top house (I know, not really but it looks nice):

At the same moment, looking from a different angle, there's no light:

@Lucky_Strike is this an artefact of your lovely work or something more generic to the game?  I ask because I'm also getting lighting effects on one side of my bocage (like the buildings in the grainy screenshots), which do not always face where the sun might be about to shine...

    Not a biggy but curious.
