It's tough for US player, no room to maneuver, limited arty, m10's for a fortified town...
I agree, but doable with luck on your side . Without it, you're skrewed.

This was against @Phantom Captain I assume .
It was a while ago but I think my opponent had some of their Stugs in woods behind buildings near the back on my right. I leveled the buildings (as you do) and they had nowhere to go.
And the others on my left got caught out in an attempted counterattack. My gunners got medals for that.
Good battle though, and initially I thought I was going to lose as you're a bit exposed up there...

My name is actually Michael by the way. I don't think I've ever mentioned it here.
I was looking back to see when @RockinHarry last posted (hmmm, July 23, hope all is well) and came across the above which I missed at the time.
So hi Michael,
Keep up the great work,
Tim

How's it going overall? I got a PBEM win as US - no pressure .

It's amazing how you can still take a selfie though .

the firing squad
The firing squad? Bear in mind you're talking to someone who was beheaded after he died. Isn't that right @Warts 'n' all?

Not got that here (Win 11 Home version). But OneDrive is a pain in the ***.

Any reason why Mikey?

Yeah come on Chris get your priorities right. Tahiti? Red Thunder? A turn is waiting for you .

Go on Chris, you know you want to. But we have another one to finish first anyway...

Don't know that battle, but what about blowing the sh*t out of the enemy infantry with them? Although if you have some 60mm mortars on hand maybe that's not necessary (every little helps though).
In RL I imagine the bazooka teams probably wouldn't go full on against infantry in case a Tiger onslaught is round the corner , but they might take out a few difficult positions... And this isn't RL.

I think @Vergeltungswaffe was quoting a different post to show how to get the great work Frank has done.
25 years, you deserve a watch, or a medal .

Oh, sorry, my bad!
No worries, he'll be along shortly I'm sure.
As for Steam, pre-CM2 titles aren't on there but for the more recent games you can use your BFC keys to get Steam keys (via a Slitherine/Matrix account). Sound tricky? It's not really and there are instructions posted elsewhere here on the forum.

This might be intentional on the part of the designer to prevent players from misusing the non-core unit.
Surely not George, who would do such a thing ?

Is there any way to tell if a unit is a core unit when playing a campaign?
It would be useful, but I'm not aware of a way. Hopefully someone will enlighten us.
Someone said in another thread that the core units have asterisks (*) in their names, but I believe that's usually the convention to indicate historical individuals/units? The campaign designer could add a C (or sumfink) after core unit names, but I think they already have enough to do. Perhaps in future 'the code' could do something like this?

Mine was (and still is) here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Battlefront\Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg
So the same folder as your game exe file. Make sure you did stick it (the patch) in with the existing CMFB stuff.
That's for the BFC PC version.
PS Perhaps another instance of the 'no download required (apart from a patch)' confusion?

As posted by someone else the other day, here's another one with John Cleese and company:
And with that I shall stop, it's silly and a bit suspect I think...

No points though?
I did a small night PBEM once where we interpreted the brief differently and never saw each other in the dark forest. Not the most exciting of games .

I would say that's almost certainly a mod conflict of some sort. You could try moving the contents of your Z folder elsewhere and re-running the scenarios to see if they are now okay.
Do you have a couple of examples of which scenarios have the problem? My CMBN Z folder is currently quite bare, so I could see what I get.
