  1. Keep your fingers crossed. It all depends on correct intel. These guys know what they are doing.
  2. If you play RT or FB the solution is to put scouts on the engine deck. For the T34/76 it is very advantageous you don't lose the commander gunner that way. For the Stug III it was standard practice. Yes the German name for them was Kanonenfutter the translation should be obvious. Spotting ability of the AFV goes up by 30% according to some testers. It is your call as a player. IMO a shortcoming in Battle for Normandy.
  3. It is what the German said, an artillery mission depends on the right intelligence.
  4. Re the above video. The German artillery stresses that during operations 'Smartphones should be put in the soldier's lockers. Putting them on the end of a 155mm shell could also be a solution. Lol
  5. A German explanation of the Russian artillery missions in the Donbass. The translation is OK the missions were 60000 shells a day HE of 40 kg . Looks like the Russians make the same mistake as the Germans did during the Blitz of 1940. Target civilian infrastructure whist the Ukrainian Army targets the Russian military.
  6. A German point of view. YouTube translate does a decent job. So, I can share it here. The Russian strategy may be based on a 50% attrition rate to win this needless war. An attrition rate like this would have most NATO administrations voted out of office. putin doesn't have that problem.
  7. Even a library of historical topographic maps would be great. To be able to do your editing in 3 D view woud be great.
  8. Yes, and European Social Democrats are under suspicion in the US. The Democrats want to adopt some of the social safety net rules in the US. Look at the suspicion it creates. German unification made unification of the two Koreas next to impossible. South Korea would have to burden the bill for it.
  9. Should reflect reality. I don't know what is involved in being an FO. There is a difference between Black Sea and Red Thunder. Word War 2 should be like Red Thunder, no communications, just friendly aircraft in the sky. Agreed.
  10. Can't we do this already when we rename a map? Also there are master maps which we can cut into smaller maps. An improvement is for example when we can use WW 2 maps in Black Sea or vice versa.
  11. I don't think the 120 mm HE from the Abrams is correctly modelled. He had time to say: "Au!"
  12. Here is the guy who almost got Messiah status. German politics without him is unthinkable. Their goal was reunification.
  13. putin was up to a few years ago a friendly head of state you could do business with. Now he has become a reptile you can't do business with. Germany was not the only country who got it wrong.
  14. Which features do you want, is the question. I don't know what is CM2.5 or CM3. Some people want better graphics I really think the present graphics are functional. I need bigger maps and easier management at battalion level.
  15. Come on US even an amateur like me can do it lol. First time ever this happened Zero Casualties.
  16. Pathfinding, like somebody said we don't play a traffic simulation game. I suggest looking into two camera settings 8 and 9. Replace it with a road map and a topographic map for the purpose of plotting way points for company size formations. On the road map the vehicles stick to the road network and on the topographic map formation according to the suitability of the terrain in regards AFV's. Easier said than done but I know it is possible to select edges with photo editing software.
  17. It is Nature vs Nurture. Some people just won't survive if you place them in a university with the commitment to graduate inside an X number of years. Give them five acres of land and they are home for generations to come. How big is Siberia and why do they want to expand towards Western Europe?
  18. Which army is doing that in Europe or Asia? You need roads and stay close to the logistics network. Anschluss of Austria no opposition and the German army advanced only on the roads. They lost something like 10% of their mobile units. Imagine if you go to cross-country. PS Market Garden failed because they were tight to one single road. NATO IFV's none is capable crossing rivers. The old M113 was capable and the US marines have some vehicles. Bridges are part of a road network.
  19. I don't think some people in the Kremlin will sleep easy. putin took Judo lessons but it won't be enough.
  20. Battle of the Coral Sea first time no ships fired at each other. Ships carried their own airplanes so capital ships were going the direction of the Prince of Wales and the Repulse. I think the lines between SP Guns and Tanks are going to be blurred. But AFVs are going to stay for the time being.
  21. The future is here. Besides the ingenious ejection turret the Russians are experimenting with on their T72 tank some whizzkids are also looking at Startrek Movies. Forcefields around tanks maybe the answer.
  22. The two guys in their foxhole. They think Russia will lose this war.
  23. The Brits have their share of Neville Chamberlains, the Russian Conscripts seems to me have lost the will to fight. To put it in CM terms nervous and rattled before they are committed.
  24. The T72 is obsolete, the concept of the tank is not. The designers will come up with something. The Sagger made the Centurion obsolete, the next generation had laminated armor. The tank will depend more on combined operations, but it will carry on in some way.
  25. Nanotechnology. Hold my beer. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"
