  1. MINUTE 13

    More Germans are discovered, fleeing.

    bmmJ2.jpg

One more casualty taken while the others are withdrawing.

It is the panic on the other side, another casualty.

I have merged two teams in the same house to continue firing at the enemy.

    kKKJe.jpg

While the third team is going on the left doing reco toward the second objective.

If the situation can not be worse for the Germans, my mortar team is now shelling them...

Is this the beginning of the end?

  2. MINUTE 12

My limited action on my left wing is starting. Two teams are advancing covering each other.

While I am still detecting Germans in the woods in front of them.

    Am0w0.jpg

A first team rushs into the house that has a good LOS on their location.

    LOkaO.jpg

Looks like I am achieving fire superiority... Can't believe it. 🙂

    jrG1v.jpg

My orders for next turn are to continue to push them out of this village before concentrating on the second objective.

  3. MINUTE 11

Time for my teams in the woods to advance a little to area fire on some sound positions.

    554QY.jpg

But the Germans are progressing too... This is not the end...

    r5jem.jpg

My squad team, in the center of the village, has withdrawn once more.

    19Xqg.jpg

Germans have arrived in this first house of the village but are taken apart by my scout team. One more casualty for them.

    mxwa5.jpg

On my left wing, I will try to progress next turn.

  4. MINUTE 10

Seems I was wrong. This German is not going on the second objective. Looks like he is fleeing...

    EJOEk.jpg

In the center, I continue to randomly fire few smoke rounds with my mortar team to limit the LOS of the enemy.

    bmg1p.jpg

Few Germans are spotted at the exact location I had so many problems with in my first game. This scenario is definitely difficult for Germans.

    Overall situation is here.

Is your team moving slow?  If so that could be part of the problem... visibility is not great when they are hugging the ground.  Move teams in pairs, in a mixture of very short rushes (Fast) and Hunt... with a lot of listening halts in order to better spot enemy units.

Yes it was a slow move. When you say short rushes of Fast and Hunt, for how many meters do you do Fast moves and same question for Hunt moves?

  6. MINUTE 5

The situation deploys suddently with the incoming of about a team in the woods on my right. Alas, my troops are not seeing them...

    aXpOp.jpg

They are here guys!!! They are here!!! And you are behind them...

    3envq.jpg

But, this is too late. The team in the woods plus the one in the house from minute 4 are firing on one of my squad. The result is catastrophic. Another retreat...

    n5Pvm.jpg

My guys in the woods are still progressing unable to spot the enemy.

Ok, ask the Forum members how does each state of Troops readiness effects Spotting & Shooting (ex: does 'Tired' troops Spot less with less shooting accuracy, etc)...Let me know what's said. What I think was said awhile ago; Spotting & Moral is temporarely reduced when readiness is reduced (ex; 'Tired Troops spot less), but Shooting accuracy still stayed normal.

Any expert of this topic out there? Thank you

  8. MINUTE 3

Another German is spotted in front of the house I fail to assault at my first try.

    VaOpv.jpg

Unfortunately, my orders were already given for this turn and it was impossible to stop my men. This guy has taken a shot from a LMG, either MG34 or MG42. My first casualty. ☹️

    a9AeR.jpg

On the left, the marathon's champion is now carefully moving while my reserved squad is taking the house in front of him. I am predicting bad things for him soon.

    ndDab.jpg

At the end of the turn, I have also spotted some moves at the center of the map. I am wondering how @JoMc67 is able to move so quickly without tiring his men...

Sound contacts everywhere at the edge of the village, this will be bloody...G5aDD.jpg

Very clean machine. Looks like he is doing a good job of it.

Oh yes, he knows his subject perfectly. It is always a great pleasure to hear him talk about the origin and the use of this aircraft.

    Engine testing:

The pilot was down in the cockpit at the time of the picture but, don't be mistaken, was inside the plane. Security always... 🙂

    The latest news:

The Swiss authorities withdrew the permission to fly from the remaining two planes today. Apparently, they found indication of systematic structural issues in the wings of the crashed plane.

Would be a big loss, if it was a permanent decision. I love to hear and see the Ju52 fly over. Even my wife meanwhile recognises the Ju just by the humm of the engines.

That is a shame yes but, as a pilot, I can say that security must NOT be neglected. At my airfield, there is someone who renovates a Stampe SV4C and he spends hours and hours on every detail to make the plane safe.

Few pictures (sorry to be a little off topic here)

  11. MINUTE 2

A 10 seconds pause for my heroes before running toward their respective objectives.

    eVGAL.jpg

Next stop on my right wing near at the edge of the woods.

    2wlo8.jpg

In the center, one squad will advance carefully inside the village.

    oE8Vg.jpg

On my left wing, I am reaching my first defined objective. Now, I will move more cautiously.

    8nayo.jpg

And the surprise of the end of this turn. Incredible, one German is already there, rushing on the woods on the right of the village. I hope this guy has registered for the New York City Marathon...
