The game description clearly states that there are Two campaigns, added to that you get plenty of stand-alone battles, quick battles etc. So it is a shame that you feel that you are not getting your money's worth.
Mission 3 is very tough. But, that is how it was on the day.
I think that at present there are 11 player created campaigns. Although because not everyone shares them on The Few Good Men site, I think that there are only four on there. What you might like to do is go to the top of this forum and click on "Maps and Mods" most of the campaigns should be on there with a description of what it is about, and which engine you need to have in order to be able to play it.

To Dunkirk I presume?
By co-incidence, we do have our own Dunkirk. And during WW2 there was a radar station sited near the village, which got bombed a fair few times.

Not your fault though...blame it on the keyboard...

I noticed that kind of behaviour quite often with the Russians in Red Thunder on engine 3. I just put it down to cowardice.

Being TO SMALL also have its risk...doesn't it ?
You're right, your version of the word "too", was too small. It can be a risky business telling BFC what to do.

Hahahaha... Not far off of it. The team he was playing for was made up of guys who helped out with the local Sunday League, managers, trainers, linesmen etc. So I imagine the Home team was made up of instructors, office workers, civilian staff, rather than young tough squaddies. Given that it is almost 50 years ago I can't remember the score, I think that his team won. I do recall being disappointed that his side played in White and Tangerine, rather than the Amber and Black of the team he ran the line for.
As an aside, I did once see "Private Pike" play cricket. But, that is another story.

"I have here a letter from a Mrs Trellis of North Wales, she writes.. "Dear B.F.C. Why, oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why ......... "
Shameless rip off I know.

Having gotten a bloody nose the first time I tried this a few years ago, and remembering how frustrating it was trying to get through the first two lines of defence, when I took this campaign on a few weeks ago I tried something different.
The 1st line is only a touch objective.... The 3rd line gives twice as many points as 2nd... So as they say, I missed out the "middle man" and went around the right flank, just sending one platoon to touch the very edge of the 1st zone,
With regards to artillery, or lack of it. I was frustrated about it too. But, in the case of this campaign, it does reflect that fact that the Russians had problems moving their arty quickly in that kind of terrain.

Oops more trees as poles - sorry about that
Hahahahaha. Just got to love that colonial sense of humour.

Oh i'd pay twice as much as normal for a CM game covering the Invasion of Poland and Fall of France. Defensive campaigns are possible in CM, the best example of which I think was "A Moment in Time" from Market Garden module.
I think that campaign could be described as "Balanced" rather then defensive, as the Germans are attacking in at least three of the missions.
Although when it comes to an early-war CM I'm with you all the way.

5th Queen's Own Royal West Kent [INF]
The only time I ever saw my old dad play an organised game of footy (full size pitch, referee, corner flags etc), it was at The Royal West Kent Barracks. It was in the days before things kicked off in Ireland, and you could just wander around. Nowadays most of it is buried under a dual carriageway, although by co-incidence they have built a football stadium there as well.

Oh yes, you're right it is about "player preference". I'm just weird.

Full trees are prettier
It's not only question of making the map "prettier", it is more about realism. If there is ever a CMx3 hopefully there will be some kind of points penalty for tree togglers.

In the orders phase screen shots - nope. In those shots I want you to be able to see the orders.
Ah, that's a shame.

Seconded from another division. We are just making this all up...
Thanks. I did look them up, but apart finding out that there was such a unit as the 24th Battalion Sikh Regiment, I couldn't find any other info.
-
Were the 24th part of an independent brigade, or seconded from another division to fight alongside the 6th South Africans?

Yeah and one of your own ran the country for a while after Queen Mary II died.
Ah, is that a reference to the lead singer of Gay King Billy and the Velvet Gentlemen? Obscure Anglo-Dutch underground band sadly overshadowed by The Velvet Underground.
