Having been away for quite a while for health reasons, both my own and my PC's. Did this reworking ever get finished?

In fact, it is not Telegraphpoleland, it is Barrentreesmodland...
My apologies. It has been 45 years since I did "O"-level Geography. And I only got a "C".

Strange things happen in Telegraphpoleland.

I would have liked the hybrid option myself and would have done that if I could have.
Unfortunately, the work-around to get berets to show is an all-or-nothing proposition. If the Airborne units had 2 different helmets (like the infantry with the mkII and mkIII helmets, I could have done it).
Very late to the party. But I can't get either the berets, or the uniforms bearing the para insignia to show up at all.

It could be related to that then, who knows. Good luck my friend and let us know how it's going...
Declan and I batted a few ideas around. Then given the fact that I am a complete duffer when it comes to these new fangled mechanical typewriter whatsits, he provided me with a link to the Microsoft C ++ (x86) thingamybob, which worked. I just have to cobble together some new music mods as I lost all the ones that I created some years back when my old PC died.

Is it something to do with the oddness of CMBN installing in a different place to all the others?
Did you use the full installers, and accept the default locations? I used them recently but told them where to install - however, the result was that my Battlefront folder has a Combat Mission sub-folder with every WW2 except CMBN, while CMBN has it's own sub-folder.
It's just a thought. If that doesn't help I think you will need the one who helped me - @BFCElvis.
I think that it was always different to the other titles on my old machine with it's own sub-folder. And "yes" I accepted the default locations. If I can't sort it tomorrow I will certainly call on Declan's help.

I completely baffled by this. CMFI and CMFB run fine on my new machine, but I'll be bound if I can get Normandy to work.

If I'm ever able to get the game working again I'll certainly give this a whirl.

In case you guys are interested: I have „D-Day Dodgers“ (to the tunes of Lili Marleen).
Needless to say: Perfect as music for CMFI.
When I first bought the CMFI Gustav Line bundle years ago I put together a mod called "Limeys on the Med" which as the name suggests consisted of songs by US artists which had originated in the UK. It was lost when my old PC went bang, but I might recreate if the CMFI bug bites.

I've just taken another look. I'm not quite sure how it happened but I ended up with both a wmv file and a wav file. That's the problem with being 400 years old, we have no idea how these automated writing machines work.
Having sussed it, I will hold Miss Dirttrack's version in reserve. And use the recording made by Charlie and his Orchestra when I play as the Jerrys

I think most people with ears will "take it".
Although you might want to check it, as it appears to me that you have included both the video and music in the one file, which prevents it from working in game.

Many thanks to Declan for getting me sorted. I'm off to watch some detectives. Well, it's better than going to Chelsea.

No. All links should work. Open a Help Desk ticket and we'll sort it out. I'll need to get into your account and it's best not done on a public forum.
Thanks mate. Will do.

Make sure that you're using Game Engine 4 versions to download and install. They are all-in-one full game installers and the only downloads you need for each game. For some people that means the 4.0 Upgrade for others they may have purchased the games already using Game Engine 4. Whichever applies to you is what you should use. Then you don't have to use the convoluted step by step installation method.
Thanks for the advice.
Just a bit more detail, I bought CMFI back in 2015, it was the Gustave Line bundle using Engine 2. And I've never upgraded it beyond that. Would that be why my original order's link doesn't work?

I assume you mean 'message' ...
I didn't see that with mine. @BFCElvis is the man to speak to, sorry John but it's true.
Oooops. Sorry about that, I was "too busy thinking 'bout my baby", as Marvin once sang. But, enough of her, you're right, Declan is the man to go to.

A slight variation on this theme if I may.
I've also recently bought a new PC after my old one died. And want to re-install my games. CMBN, CMFB and CMRT look fine and ready to reload from my Orders page. However when I went back to Fortress Italy I got a massage saying "Invalid Link". has anyone else encountered the same problem? And, is there a workaround?

According to the wiki page, Universal carrier were only to tow 6-pdr in emergency situations. The standard towing tractor for the 6-pdr is the Loyd Carrier.
Spot on.

When you click on any vehicle, whether it be a carrier, jeep or truck, look at the picture in the middle of the UI. You will see a series of circles, green circles = occupied seats, and grey circles = empty seats.
Also, keep in mind that in this particular battle not all of your Limey carriers are "Bren Carriers". You also have Lyods, which you should use for hauling your AT Guns around.

I got three or four missions into the campaign only to find our old friend bocage gap charging rear it's ugly head. I thought that this particularly nasty bug had been squashed for ever, sadly not. It might be a game breaker, but it does render it decidedly unenjoyable.

Who needs a girlfriend the next few months?
I need mine. She has to ferry me to and fro the horse's piddle for my cancer treatment.
But, in the meantime this does sound like a very interesting campaign.

I've just taken a quick look. I can't find an ammo bearer on the map at the start of the mission. But, also, why would you give an ammo bearer a mortar? He wouldn't be trained to use it, and be too busy lugging ammo around.

@Brille is spot on. Al the time they've got their hands up, and no white flag appears, it means that they have mates lurking in the shadows.
