  1. Do surrendering units still share contact information up to the point that they disappear from the map?
  2. I’m playing one of the stock R2V scenarios. They didn’t become available until 25 mins into the battle, so no chance of first turn use. Knowing how inaccurate they can be, I tried a short three launcher salvo (using a TRP) and they actually surprised me as to how close they came to target. Unfortunately I lost my FO before I could call in a second shoot as I was about to go large!
  3. I love the attention to detail in this game, but what a waste of all that HE!
  4. Thanks all for your responses. Yes, correct, just noticed I’ve lost two out of the three team members and only the radio operator is still alive! Damn! I still an HQ team active. Will they be able to call in support? He has the “denied” message as well, so I assume it was only the FO himself that had permission.
  5. Is anyone able to advise on the reload time for Nebelwerfers, please? I have a six launcher battery available and have used a short three launcher salvo, but since the strike further availability has been denied to my FO despite plenty of rockets unused. Nothing in the manual about reload times unfortunately.
  6. 1. 1939 to 1940 for sure, and maybe allow for some Spanish Civil War action as well
  7. Thanks. I’ve registered on the website, just awaiting approval and then I’ll sign up for the tournament
  8. Thanks for all the responses, fellas. My battle has 20 mins to run, so will find out soon from my oppo what ancilliary damage was done apart from immobilisation and will report back.
  9. Exsonic01, did they actually penetrate the Bradley's top armour in your case?
  10. Should the Krasnopol 152mm precision round be able to destroy an M2 Bradley with a forward top hull hit? I'm playing a scenario in which I've now hit three different M2's each with a three round (General munition) precision strike and in each case one of the three rounds has achieved a top hull hit. Every time the result has been immobilised M2 (nose down in a fresh crater) with a functioning main gun. There is a clear strike decal left on the hull top, but I have no idea what other damage has occurred as a result (optics etc). Is this common or have I just been extremely unlucky?
  11. France 1940 for sure, but also lets give a little love to the Balkans campaign (late 1940-41): Germans, Italians, Bulgarians & Hungarians on the Axis side; Greeks, Yugoslavs, and British expeditionary corps (incl. Aussies and NZ'ers) for the Allies. Early armoured tin-cans and some great looking landscapes to fight over. But any early East front would be good as well. Poland, Finland, Barbarossa. Please Battlefront, give me my fix
  12. If a vehicle is immobilized from becoming bogged down is it immobile for the rest of the battle? I seem to remember in CMx1 that there was a chance that a bogged vehicle could become unstuck. And this may be my imagination, but I also seem to remember being able to push a bogged tank with another tank and that would sometimes free them from their bogged status. Am I making this up?
  13. Captured French kit including the Char B1 and APC's. Could France 1940 be just around the corner?
  14. And lots of lovely early war tanks and a/c's. Yes, please.
  15. Haha, thanks Womble, yes, I'd have had to have been a complete fool not to have backed up prior to upgrading! Unfortunately, I AM a complete fool and didn't back up So Ian's suggestion it is. Thanks, guys. I'll load up another copy and go from there.
  16. Thanks WW. In that case, is it possible to once more downgrade to the original version?
  17. Myself and an opponent have just recently upgraded both CMBN and CMFI to 3.0 in the middle of PBEM battles on both formats. When I now go to load the latest turn it gets to about 90% complete and then crashes! I assume we have done something wrong. Is anyone please able to advise what is the correct process for upgrading between PBEM turns? Is there anyway of resurrecting the battles from our last turns as each is well over the halfway mark and we'd both be extremely gutted to have lost them!
  18. I'd definitely pay for anŷ early war stuff: west front, east front, Africa, Balkans. I think there's a great variation of armour that makes a really nice change from Shermans, Panthers and T34's. CMBB and CMAK included a nice selection of early tanks and AC's which made it possible for creative scenario designers such as Hans to make some real fun battles from France 1940, Norway, Greece and even the Spanish Civil War! Would love to see the French armour modelled such as the Somua S35 and Char B1. My current favourite title is CMFI as there's some unusual Italian kit thrown into the mix.
  19. Thanks for your help, fellas. Much appreciated.
  20. I wonder if anyone can advise me, please. My current laptop is really struggling with CMx2. It is regularly overheating and shutting down even on medium battles and at low resolution/graphics settings! Can anyone please recommend a laptop spec that will allow me to comfortably play the largest battles at the best resolution, and even allow for some future-proofing (while hopefully not breaking the bank ).
  21. Hi Dutchman I'm still finding my feet in CMx2; the victim of four PBEM defeats to date, but getting better (I think ). I have everything except CMFI, which I intend to purchase soon, and would be very willing to play any of the scenarios with you, your pick. Let me know, cheers
