  1. Thanks for the update. Really looking forward to this. Is Swingfire in for the Brits? And was it any good?
  2. It’s almost like Steve cracked open the door and threw in a grenade!
  3. I’m really hoping for early war, especially France 1940 and the Balkans campaign up to the fall of Crete in ‘41. Various Cruiser marks and Matildas for the Brits; Char B’s, Somua’s, Renaults etc for the French; Pz Mk l, II, 35t’s for the Germans. No big HE chuckers, so that ATG’s have a fighting chance. But if that’s too ambitious, I’d happily accept the Western Desert campaigns over the same period.
  4. Thanks for the update, Steve. Downfall pre-ordered and looking forward to part 2 with bated breath. I’m another player who’d love to see early war CM, if it ever happens, but I’ll continue to purchase whatever else you guys release in the meantime. Keep up the great work.
  5. Thanks for bumping it mate. Just read this for the first time. Fantastic work, made for a great read.
  6. Thanks @Vacillator. I actually found instructions in the CMBN Manual and created my Z folder, but I really appreciate your quick response.
  7. How do I download Mods? I’ve found Falaise’s 22.5 degree roads mod on CMMOD warehouse, but I can’t find the data/z directory to install them. Please advise. * ignore that request. I looked up the old manual and found instructions. Amazing what you can do if you try
  8. Amazing work, thanks for this. I will definitely check this out as soon as I have time. Early war rocks!
  9. Many thanks. I’ll be sure to download and try them out with feedback.
  10. I would be up for this. I remember a scenario designer by the name of Hans used to make lots of early war/SCW/other obscure front scenarios in CM1 using the various early war vehicles from CMBB and CMAK. I downloaded and played most of them vs AI and tried a few H2H. I love the early war vehicles which is why CMFI is my favourite game as being the nearest to this. I need to work out how to load mods so I can try and get the most out of your scenarios,@kohlenklau. Thanks for keeping the early war dream alive.
  11. It’s correctly modelled. Quoted from the CMFI game manual: ”Semovente 47/32 The Semovente 47/32 was a Fiat L6/40 light tank chassis with the turret removed and an open-topped superstructure located in its place. The vehicle mounted a 47mm Cannone da 47/32 M35 with 70 rounds of ammunition and had a crew of three. Command variants found at the company and battalion levels had a radio instead of a 47mm gun. In the guns place was a dummy cannon that outwardly resembled a 47/32, but was instead a 8mm machine gun.” Hope that helps
  12. For anyone who enjoys a unique challenge, this tournament is highly recommended. I’ve taken part in two of the three previous Field Warrior tournaments that @slysniperhas organised (gutted to miss the last one as I was without a laptop) and couldn’t wait for this to be announced. A series of five completely new 30min scenarios to test your wits against different opponents. If you enjoy your PBEM battles fast and furious then get involved. https://www.thefewgoodmen.com/thefgmforum/forums/cmfi-field-warriors-tournament.500/
  13. Thanks @BFCElvis. Private message sent. And thanks @Pete Wenman for bumping Elvis
  14. I have just recently purchased a new laptop and successfully reloaded all of my CM base games, modules and upgrades, except for the Commonwealth module on CMBN. i originally purchased this as a disk back in 2013 and the license key is no longer recognised. i have tried logging a ticket, but have given up after multiple attempts and being told I have fields missing! please help Battlefront Helpdesk
  15. Just played this one H2H as the US and managed to pull off a major victory despite losing all of my M60’s. Really good scenario, went right down to the wire, kudos to the author. The M60A2’s Shillelagh missiles are great at distance, but their HEAT option for closer engagements is very weak against the T72’s. I was impressed with the M150’s - the AI handles them well and reversed them out of danger after engaging a target. Great fun and recommended as H2H.
  16. Thanks again, fellas. So, I’ve just played the battle “Tank Training 1980” and found out the hard way . Managed a draw on Iron - I had one immobile M60A1 left standing against two degraded T64B’s. That was tough! Spotting isn’t great, even in open desert, so definitely recommend unbuttoned.
  17. Thanks fellas. So Mark I eyeballs it is Also, I’ve just noticed the Tank Training scenarios so I will give those a whizz.
  18. Is it possible, please, for someone to advise on the spotting ability of the various US tanks in Cold War, and whether they are better deployed buttoned or unbuttoned?
  19. Just downloaded and cracked open the first battle, Direction Found. Very excited. Thanks again BF and team.
  20. Great news, Battlefront. Thanks for all your hard work. Can’t wait to get stuck in.
  21. Ordered already. Let’s hope lockdown continues long enough for me to enjoy this
  22. Looking forward to purchasing this. Great news indeed!!!
  23. Thanks for all the replies. In this particular case (CMFI/R2V) it’s a German pixeltruppen that’s surrendered. I can tell that one of his colleagues has scarpered due to the icon moving further and further away from the guy who’s surrendering. He’s been hanging around like a bad smell for about 5 or 6 moves, and I’m reluctant to leave him without a guard in case he becomes active again, but it’s really annoying if he’s still sharing contact information. Is there anyway of “silencing” him?
