What Subject For The First CMCW Module?
JM Stuff replied to ng cavscout's topic in Combat Mission Cold War
I would like to see and I was vote for west and east germany, because it is simple logic and obvious that they are present in the game to mutually defend their country, one being in front of the other, and if we want to keep the mention and the region of the famous Fulda Gap... the German and the British are the more close of these region, and will take the first place. Having a western and eastern german nation, will give the oportunity to use them in the Nord Center and in the Sud also, giving more possibilities to created or using differents terrains, and differents kind of scenarios ! Stephan and his obsession for CM also on the way back home ! -
Harry, quite agree with all the arguments cited. I just wanted and as always just wanted to help and I didn't know you were working as a pro and it's a great thing to be picky about what you like to do in this domain. On the other hand, you will have to explain to me where you can find deer in the middle of Frankfort (nur ein Scherz )

Sorry for this i misunderstood something... you were telling me that you could listening all the voices that i was prepared ?...I dont think so,? where some are really from movies that I cut myself from real situations in war and from the Bundeswehr ? but ok me I give only what i have. the best way to do it is to go outside far from curious...and scream and command on the same time that you record your own voice ! voili voilu !

Phill German voices were for @RockinHarry ! he can download in "My Corner " butis only a part I have to see the rest later...much later... @kohlenklau, @mjkerner I have some Greek voices we have only to delete the noise, of the microphone ! ! also to download, I let the voices on PC only 2 days than will be deleted ! I tell you that I love yours graphics, n today yours works textures a touch of beauty ! -
I had promised you, voices from different german interlocutors, I am working on it, but I have so many that I have to do the cleaning in the files, I have voices and dialects from a lot of countries around games, the problem is that I have several files with the same sizes and names so I have to see them one by one, so as not to lose the good ones I didnt delete nothing, now I am in the need to do it... some are already cut from movies and must be transforming in wav some are in mp3...but I am working on ! there are somewhere under the list !!! A band that I like very much, here where RSmith is visible in the background !

I discover this band already later but was fascinated from the sound of the drum and the music in general, not really by the voice, this was later with another song !

kohlenklau's CM Modding Blender adventure
JM Stuff replied to kohlenklau's topic in CM2 Scenario and Mod Tips
I think that the .mdr files are a kind of zipped files collecting all the information necessary for a 3d model defined in a code appropriate to CM. This using a unique file decompiler decompresses and analyzes the files for export into the game itself, and if one or more files are missing this affects the totality or limits the possibilities of data transfer. And I think maybe it was fortunate that we had someone who could create a script for Python and let us unpack the .mdr files, something almost unthinkable 10 to 15 years ago ... I hope someone skilled enough with Python can re-script and unpack in the same time the .mds files. At the moment I don't despair... JM -

I am always there to help you and perhaps one day I will need myself your help, I am already happy to see that you make progress in this domain, and believe me sometime I am also biting my keyboard when I see the result in the game comparing with the result in Blender...
