Yes, JM, it will be the 'last'. I have decided that even if there are still errors, bugs, or negative feedback, I am just going to live with it and spend any more of my time tinkering with them. Anyone else is welcome to make any changes to my creation that they like.

behind my smile hides a little sadness to know that once again someone feels at the end of their rope...
We will miss you Wim, when, we will upload on the CMMODs, your moments of glory but also headaches at your finished work!

I have this morning uploaded the 'final' versions of my creations including:

    (1) Normandy and Netherlands Master Maps (7 maps)

    (2) ASL/SL to CMBN conversions. (11 Scenarios)

    (3) Kandu's Original Scenarios (6 Scenarios)

    (4) 82nd Airborne in Normandy standalone scenarios (29 Scenarios)

    (5) Mission Boston - Objective La Fiere; a short, five mission, linear, 82nd Airborne in Normandy campaign. A longer version is still in development.

Are you sure this is really the last from last version Wim, not forgot a little thing...🤩

So we have to wait to your last of the last long version now !

Very nice to let us know, friend, just kidding.

In the past month I found two German websites specialized in certain German infantry divisions. They are too good not to share.

    http://www.ostvermisste-1944.de/Inhaltsverzeichnis-HP.htm

    http://www.15id.info/Untergang.htm

If anyone has knowledge of similair websites, I would be much obliged. They are an inspiration for scenario design.

Very nice pages lot of infos thanks to post it Jacob, I have some but, I think they are alreay comning fromt the forum, I have to check it in details !

You will be in the jackboots of Feldwebel Walter Rubarth of Panzerpionier-Bataillon 49. Only a few rubber assault boats made it across the Meuse. Can you complete the mission that resulted in Rubarth's Ritterkreuz?

I have it out for testing. I played it several times and made some tweaks. I enjoyed it.

    FR40B RUBARTH'S RITTERKREUZ

    mvReORD.png

On 10 May 1940, the Germans commenced their invasion of France and the low countries.

3 days later they were at the Meuse River...

    OBJECTIVES:

CONCRETE BUNKERS: Up to 1000 points

WOOD BUNKERS: Up to 250 points

FRENCH SOLDIERS: Up to 200 points

    Battle Duration 50 minutes.

You start the scenario with a forward observer in position on the German side of the Meuse.

He has 4 Stuka Missions and 2 batteries of 105's.

You must use them all at the very beginning.

Target whatever you desire to help Feldwebel Rubarth complete his mission.

Use the area target with a 200+/- meter diameter.

    NO PIN POINT TARGETING.

This simulates the Luftwaffe attack that preceded the crossing operations.

10th Panzer Was stripped of its heavy artillery for use by 1st Panzer Division.

Feldwebel Walter Rubarth and his "Stosstrupp" arrive at T=10 minutes.

Rubarth is a Platoon HQ of 1 or 2 men (random).

    2 Breach Teams

    1 Flamethrower Team

    1 Infantry Squad

    The actual crossing is simulated.

They arrive with their "rafts" on the far side of the Meuse north of the destroyed bridge.

They have an ammo crate with SMG and rifle ammo.

    Good luck!

Nice one, seem to be interresting,  I am playing it soon, interresting could be that we are thinking also to take some strongs points in 1940 in Holland, bridges, airport...with German Paras agains regular Netherlands army, but...I read just now, no tanks will be available, so hurry to move infantry on strategics points... @Butschi, we will need soon your help...in coordinates...

Thanks! However I did not get it, unless I misread I could not find the path you mention either in the Juju's TweakedUI folder structure, or the game folder structure. I have the Steam version of CMBN. To be more explicit, I am looking for the files in Juju's MOD that I have to copy in the Z folder.

Oooops this I don't know the path,... the one that I gave you was from my PC !!

Use your brz files in a specific folder like for exemple like I do.

In your mod tools folder created a folder Finish.

Dezip(brz files in your exploded folder copy OR cut all in your Finish folder that you can see all folders path and files that compose your game, easy to pick up the one that you want to modified without touch to yours originals files.

Fo the Battle for Normandy Vehicle Pack, BFC developped :

    - Flammpanzer Char B-2(f)

    - Geschützwagen 39H(f) 75mm and Geschützwagen 39H(f) 105mm which do use the same chassis as Hotchkiss H39 tank (so animation for the H39 wheels DOES already exist, and as the turret is the same as R35's, it shouldn't require much work to provide a Hotchkiss tank!).

For the SOMUA I'm wrong. I've mistaken the SOMUA for the Unic P107, whose chassis does exist thanks to the Halftrack U304(f) of the same battle pack.

    And I forgot about:

    - Hetzer and Grille do use the PzKpfw 38(t) chassis -> this tank chassis also does exist

    - The same CMBN VP offers SdKfz 135/1 150mm as well, so the Lorraine tracked chassis is also already available…

Ah ok because when there will be one Somua we have already another french tank !

Good Idea we will check all in details !

    Hello,

Many thanks Vin for your smart MOD.

    I downloaded here: https://www.thefewgoodmen.com/cm-mod-warehouse/combat-mission-battle-for-normandy/cmbn-other/vins-arrow-unit-bases/

Sorry I'm a new player, I read the READ ME file but have not understood how to install the MOD.

It seems that the method is not the "Z folder"?

the mod is a bmp files you dont have normaly to have a problem Vin, give you more possibilities to install one, so you have to make a choice,

take a view of the Vin arrow base mod.jpg to see what you will have.

Hope this will help ! !?

    Hi,

I started to MOD my CMBN... especially the UI... but not too much, otherwise what I can see in the interface would not be consistent anymore with what the manual says or shows (I'm a beginner).

So of course I downloaded the famous Juju's TweakedUI v6 and understood that I do not need to install everything.

So far I've installed the 'new compass' and the 'weapon slots'.

Now I would like to customize/mod the 2 following items but I don't know how they are called in terms of UI wording:

For someone about to retire, you are reaching your peak! Going out with a bang? You will be missed!

But I'm quiet sure in 5, 10, 15, or even 20 years, when he will have a cane, a big moustache and glasses, and also perhaps a wheelchair, because he will need to rest his legs, with his little blanket to cover himself, he will be able to do us another favor, on a mod that we will try to solve...

BFC always stated that it was too much investment for not so high potential sells. And that creating new armor models was a lot of work.

Well, the Dream Team has demonstrated that the graphical stuff can be done (indeed, it has been done!)

And for the armor models, Char B1 already exists in a flamethrowing version, R35 does exist, there are Hotchkiss and SOMUA halftrack chassis developped for CMBN, Panzer IV and Panzer III exist for the most part… So? Not many new tanks to develop from scratch for a good France 40 base game: S-35, Panhard 178, Panzer I and II, and here you go! With a British/Belgian module if the base game sells well! And lot of stuff on hold for a great vehicle pack!

    Go, BFC, go!

I can only approve your words!

Yes we can already added ourself tanks with a little manipulation in blender, like British Vickers or italians Semovente or tankettes... for France 1940, and perhaps later

Poland 1939, Czechoslovakia 1938, Spanish (German "test war") 1936, later Yougoslavia with Hungarian Bulgarian and (Croatia Hrvatska) Greece, and Ttito Partisans, wihtout forget the Blue Spanish division, a whole job, but available, just imagination, and work... and take what can help us already existing from BFC...

But can you explain more about

"already exists in a flamethrowing version, ...SOMUA halftrack chassis developped " ?

Work in Progress, the other map @kohlenklau had ordered. 😉 The area around Perbais for the Battle of Gembloux. The "Master Map" will be about 2.5km x 2km. Entirely different beast than Stonne. This is tank country, much more flat and open. Although, less open than I initially thought: The difference between highest and lowest point is still around 30m. More like rolling hills, very much in line with what is often shown in photos of Belgium 1940.

Also, way less historically accurate and more artistic license as I only have a 1:50000 topographic map to work with. If someone happens to have some good material (map, photos, ...) I'll happily include that!

Btw. Hedgerow Hell really boosts this mod!

You are really welcome @Butschi we have now a specialist that bring us a region everywhere of the world, thanks to take this time to make it.

    Vielen Dank für alles!

I've been playing around with reshade recently and have been getting some pretty nice results for the most part. Besides the reshade, these pictures feature a handful of mods, such as the DDR mod, the US OD reskin, as well as S-Tank's excellent MERDC reskins, to name a few.

I must say I like big maps, but company sized battles are more and more what I prefer. Moving more than one or two companies is almost a full time job and usually ends up in complete chaos for me.

Funny when you said "end up in complete chaos for me" ...believe me is the case for more of us, is also my case, I must say sometime a little confusing, the Cie level is incredible with all the squads this take time and we forget always an action...
