Barkmann's Corner revisited
Bootie replied to GhostRider3/3's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Ok guys thats me back from Singapore... now what appears to be the problem. @GhostRider3/3 Ive added you as an author and your password will be emailed to you. Had to use GhostRider33 as the / isnt allowed. Ive updated your author account to give you access to the 2 scenarios I uploaded from the Repository on your behalf. I will also look into easing the process for new users.. thanks. Bootie -

New CMRT Campaign: The Cross of Iron

Yeah there is a 20MB limit for front end uploading but for large files I can do it through ftp. -
No problem I hope you dont find the new sites confusing. Regards

Ghe old scenario depot has/had nothing at all to do with me and I didnt wish to try and replicate 15 year old software.
-
Actually I think I will stick with what I got... I see that I can decide to not list until after 5 ratings so I have selected that. A good compromise IMO.
-
We could always just do a thumbs up thumbs down system... nice and simple.
-
Yeah we can go with Popular Scenarios. Question does the software you are looking at require a log in to vote? No No... it lists the scenarios with the highest average rating.
-
@Badger73 Ive went away and had a think about it and I think it would be better implemented in a page so have come up with the following. This will not be used on The Proving Grounds as it is pointless rating scenarios being currently designed albeit the proving Grounds was also the testing grounds for it.... I think it looks pretty good... Once I get the next round of Patreon funds into the bank account i will purchase the software which will allow me to list the top 50.. currently it only covers the top 10. Any idea what we can call the tab area.... just 'TOP 50 SCENARIOS'.
-
@Badger73 check out The Proving Groudns... Ive made a couple of changes and added a rating system... is that what you had in mind?
-
Noted. Thanks.

First of apologies for posting this in each forum but its the easiest way to ensure the message gets out there. The updates continue slowly but surely. I have now made the Proving Grounds self supporting cutting me out of the equation to an extent meaning authors can upload, delete when playtested and manage their own scenarios. Being in charge of your own scenarios is something that has been requested since I set out on this path of updating the Repository and the like so this is merely another box ticked on our journey. Unfortunately the form that went along with the manual uploads is now redundant so it is up to each author to truly put as much info down as they can when it comes to creating new content and posts and ensuring it gets listed int he correct category. See the instructions here. Next stop is The Scenario Depot.
