  1. ok, these image hosting websites offer a variety of ways to get your image to where you want. if you pick the wrong way, then you just get some link text and NOT the image. Go to your site and MAYBE look for the method that says the word "direct", copy it from there by hitting a button usually

then go to CM forum and paste

EDIT: I guess Chucky says discord does this for you already? But the host sites are like albums and you can see it all clearly. I am not sure if discord offers that...

But they've explained multiple time why that's not practical (too much new equipment would have to be modeled all at once

I have some comments about this long held BFC paradigm. This is not against your quoting it.

I am a 3rd rate apprentice amateur Blender modder. I have dabbled with the models and did some crude and rudimentary changes to cobble together various "mods" for my amusement and fun.

I think the world of 3D modeling and the supply of 3D modelers has exploded since CMBN came out. The other day I was poking my nose in some CMBS 3D flavor object models and saw the basic mesh elements were written in Russian. Flowerpot was in Russian as gorshok. Hmmmm. Maybe Brazil Cassio LIma 3D studio is scrapped and some discount modders have been found. I am not sure. I don't own CMBS and can't check the credits. Not sure where CMCW got their 3D models either.

I challenge the 2023/2024 validity of this go to "excuse" that has "back a$$warded" the entire approach to giving us the earlier parts of the war in CM.

Could someone catch me up briefly on what we are waiting for exactly?

    "I" am waiting for:

    1. the announcement of WHAT will be the CMFI battle pack previously mentioned. Crickets on that.

    2. Information on when we might see the CMFB module that ends the war and brings in  the Commonwealth. Will it have the Pershing? Inquiring minds want to know.

    3. Engine 5 development status.

There's also quite a few perfectionists behind the scenes trying to marry up the history with the tools and features available in the game engine.

Quit talking like that. You're turning me on. :D

I have played a few of the scenarios in the new ASL historical module, Drop Zone St Mere Eglise.

Will you have any Georgians in the battle pack?

EDIT: hold on, wrong division, different sector. Never mind.

Considdering that BFC have spent the best part of a year...or even more on adding the STEAM feature to a 15 year old game...I kind of doubt that we will se a CM3 game for many years yet....

If they where a year or two away from releasing an entirely new gameengine (game) why would they do that...One of the main features of releasing CM2 on steam is to make updating the game easier as i understand it...If a CM3 game is released i highely doubt that BFC will spend much time on updateing CM2...Considdering the manpower situation with this company...

ok, I am NO expert but let me state my 2 cent thoughts.

I think the STEAM feature was a process added to get that revenue and exposure because they have not much else going on it seems. After I think quite a few years of Steve saying no to Steam. I think the update to make STEAM capable process  if at first a stumper was pretty much then duplicated to each game. I think that should not be a gigantic hurdle if Charles is the brain they say he is.

I think BFC never knows how far they are away from things it seems. "Ready when it is ready". So, Steam was done and CMX3 might be here in year X or year Y. Who knows?

New Steam people see CMX2 and maybe generate the desire to get CMX3.

Maybe CMX2 updates being maybe easier is no big deal to BFC. They knuckled under. Somebody's wife needed new implants? A kid decided to do graduate school. Viagara aint free.

Just how unique does a base game have to be? Are all the WW2 titles mods for each other?

My hypothesis is that the various titles are ALL just mods of the first base game. But the BFC folks can change the gamecode and thus are "super-modders" with capability beyond the normal mortal modder.

    BASE GAME:

Everything is just Red versus Blue.

Red side has equipment with physics spreadsheet R1 through Rn.

Red voices, Red UI ranks, names, portraits, branches, uniforms, squad types, etc.

Blue side has equipment with physics spreadsheet B1 through Bn

Blue voices, Blue UI ranks, names, portraits, branches, uniforms, squad types, etc.

Sometimes Red has a buddy Pink, maybe several buddies.

    Sometimes Blue might also.

The gamecode is the gamecode and can be applied to various conflicts.

Special tweaks such as "WW2 Italians cannot split up into teams" are done by super-modders only.

Adding a new vehicle into the physics spreadsheet also.

    COME ON POWERBALL!

Awhile ago I had located some solid info on T32 and sent it to Chris but I've forgotten most of the details now. I believe it was originally designed as a jungle gun circa 1942 and served in some numbers in the Pacific. 10th Mtn Div also got a batch as a mule(s)-transportable mountain gun. The gun could handle US 37mm AT gun HE and canister ammo. There was a lightened version named the T33 in development at war's end which got cancelled. What else can I find...

    Hi sir,

    T32 pack-up time is 6.7 minutes?

I know this is ancient history for you probably. I wanted to ask if the T32 pack-up of SIX POINT SEVEN MINUTES is accurate?

With the game switching sometimes 14 seconds to sometimes 27 seconds for deploying the weapon after it is carried.

Seems odd to need so much time for pack-up but then deploys so fast. Hmmm.
