OK, slowly modding a few things to get more of a Korea 1950 vibe to the battlefield...
-
Just an arbitrary hypothetical fictional example, but if you start a post, maybe after a few bourbon and cokes, such as a big rant about the programmer not having done certain things in all these years or they don't just work more with modders "Throw us a freaking bone!", but THEN after a few drunken paragraphs, you realize how fruitless it all is to say a damn thing, you can just STOP and move to another thread. Nobody knows and essentially it just disappears...

This scenario has availability of "suicide heroes" for the NK side. Based on the number of squads in my OOB, I have a chance to get up to four "suicide heroes"...
Like just about everything in ASL, I must roll 2d6 and get below a certain number.
My first attempt had a successful roll to use one but he was nailed by snake-eyes roll of my opponent in defensive fire. He made it the first hex.
In CM, I will try to use fanatical breach teams...

You deserve ANOTHER medal for this great work for our community. Merci

The battle described in this film would make a great PBEM.

I nailed one of his Easy Eights! It had his 8-1 armor leader. OOOPS!
But he did KO that T-34/85. It was hull down behind a stone wall. That creates a difficulty in the die roll for ASL.

I don't know how many people play CMCW compared to the other CM titles
Does STEAM have a way to show "532 people are playing now"...or whatever?

That means large maps and making those can be really daunting task.
Too bad you don't know a guy who could automate the process...
EDIT:

Gary and I are in day 2 of playing the VASL scenario of Patton's Ghost against each other right now. He is the US with 3 Easy Eights and a company plus of infantry with MMG's and some Super Bazookas. I am the NKPA trying to block him from getting through "Osan"...and I have two T-34/85 and an AT gun & a mortar plus a few platoons of infantry with a Maxim.
This is the CM scenario we will do here as a DAR sometime very soon...

How I dislike your taste for infantry action Phil. We all know tanks are better . Remember the Tank Museum...
I have been using ASL game "counters" and the ASL rule book as a way to know if my fake lobster is apples to apples.
Using the Jackson to stand in for the M26 is a very bad batch of fake lobster. Apricots to watermelons.
I have heard that any decade now BFC will get the CMFB module released and there is a chance it might even have an M26.
At that point, I guess I could cross-pollinate the Korea Mod over to CMFB to have some armor action. Or for you, armour action...

are you going to lobster up an M26 for later in the theatre
Hi Tim. Nope, I do not plan for any kind of M26 for this CMFI-based Korea mod.

A slow day at the Osan open air market...

yes, see CMMODS

ok, we got it to work. portapotty on the way

Korea 1950 is a personal project. I know there is not much interest out there so I doubt I will muster the energy to do AI plans. I will enjoy the PBEMs versus human opponents.
France 1940: I have maybe 4 scenarios left to do. They are low priority for me right now but I am sure I will get to them eventually.
Barbarossa: I don't see myself doing anything new there.
North Afrika: I have some ideas but I think they will be for my own PBEMs versus human opponents like you Tim! @Vacillator

I don't, but I can easily get it. I'll make sure I get you a good scenario. Anything in particular you'd be interested in seeing/playing?
Well. I know you are grateful for the stuff I did for your CMBS project. But this thread is trying to get folks to write a scenario for a new mod I am making that requires the CMFI base game and 2 modules. Korea 1950 scenarios I offered ideas for in the above links.
Nobody has volunteered or expressed any interest to make a Korea scenario except for you.
Please don't worry about it buddy.
I am almost done with the mod to the point I can enjoy a PBEM with my main opponent buddy.
At this point, I will enjoy the mod and probably just keep it for internal use and not take the extra effort to polish it and release it.

That Arnold Schwarzenegger movie on Mars has that chick with 3 boobs.
My son is a loadmaster on C130J out of Yokota.

I made a simple icon for CMFI Korea 1950...
Next to it is the icon for CMFI CMAK2 that @Blazing 88's made me.
Elsewhere on my desktop I have an icon for CMFI France 1940.

CM Cold War (CMCW) does NOT have a demo unfortunately
Yup, that's the one I wanted
Alright, we can work, this out...kohlenklau style.
You in the USA? What is your zip code?
We gotta open up bidding for meeting somebody with a laptop with CM Cold War. Neutral territory like a coffee shop. You buy the pizza and beers. 1 hour of play on the laptop. 1 large pizza and a 6 pack. I do not have CMCW so I am just the facilitator.

There already is a texture for this porta potty but it doesn't seem to show as the rectangular vending machine flavor object under the haystack category.
-
I do not own CMBS. I played the demo and thought I had an LP on 45rpm.
Is it just like the other WW2 titles and you grab the next highest number in the Flavor Object category?
I am trying to assist a guy with his Ukraine projects...
I am clueless for CMBS... Is there just the base game folder of flavor objects or have some been added in a module or patch?
Thanks

I have never done that so far - the face to face. Gary and I play online as a VASL module within Vassal and talk via Discord. I think 36 battles so far. I am 12 wins and 24 losses. It is a ton of fun. Often we double-format it with a VASL battle and then my attempt to make the corresponding CM version as a PBEM. Maybe 6 or 7 times we have done that.
