  1. But the black lights are a bug nonetheless as a look at the texture file reveals:
  2. I made a quick test with the Shilka. I fired with two elite Tribal sniper teams (with SVDs) + HQ out of a building with 3 floors on a unbuttoned immobilized Shilka. The Shilka had been given small circular target arc and was facing the building from 130 m away. Of course I had to unbutton the Shilka every new turn. After a lot of tries I indeed managed to take out the driver. (All 3 other crew members where still ok, but the TC got 'yellow'-wounded some moment later).
  3. BMP-1D : I also get no light textures. Shilka: Would be interesting to know, if the driver is vulnerable to small arms fire as unbuttoned TCs. UI-Panel: Looks like HQ written over Air. Seems to be a changed custom designation? Can't check, because I also play Ottoman Citadel - pbem as Muji at the moment.
  4. Troops can be put in trucks - Soviet, D.R.A., even Muji + Tribals. Both Kamaz and Ural have each 3 places in the cap and only one driver. Only HQ-trucks have a commander on board. So spys, FO teams and small HQ's can be transported with trucks. But I agree that it would be better, if the bed could also be used. Maybe Soviets have not used it, but what about D.R.A.? I strongly demand Ammo-Trucks, which can cook off:
  5. BMP-1 = Standard BMP version with AT-3 BMP-1K = Command version of BMP-1 BMP-1P = later version with AT-4 BMP-1PK = Command version of BMP-1K BMP-1D = heavy 'Afghan' version (more armor, no ATGM) I had no success with this. I only get BMP-1/K, BMP-1D or BMP-2/D/K variations. T-55 (1970) is still only labeled T-55 on the unit panel, but it's an improved version from the base model. Only tiny mistake of course, but taken over from CMSF.
  6. *** SPOILER *** I assigned target-arcs to the BMPs in setup and shifted face direction of the squads during the battle as needed. I won this with just one wounded in the end.
  7. Can someone point me to the parameters I have to choose to get BMP-1P and BMP-1PK in the editor? Thanks.
  8. I had an elite sniper taking out an unbuttoned TC with an L115A3 in a pbem ('Edge of Darkness'). Distance was a little bit over 600m and the sniper team had been positioned at it's place for over 30min (turns). They also suppress now a squad nearby and have taken out 3-4 men. I had manually targeted the TC when they first spotted him, but they where doing nothing first. I canceled the target-order then again and they started on their own some turns later. Seems you have to give them some time. But snipers are generally good for discovering enemy units from distance (Javelin-teams also!). So best tip is as told above, put them in good over-watch position and leave them there.
  9. There are T-55-1970, T-55-1974 and T-55MV in CMSF. The T-55-1974 and T-55MV have upgraded fire control systems with laser range finders. -> The T-55-1970 description in the manual goes: Upgraded version of the original T-55. It has a more powerful type of 100mm gun, stabilization system, and slightly more powerful engine. Probably 300-400 of these exist as static or bottom of the barrel Reserve tanks. There are two static tanks in CMSF. The one shows up as the T-54B and the other on is labeled only "T-55" (without year designation) inside the game. At all probability of course this would be the static T-55-1970 the manual talks about. But it also talks about the "more powerful engine" and that the Syrian Reserve Army has some (mobile ones?) "at the bottom of the barrel". I think this shows, that there was the plan to implement two versions of the T-55-1970 (mobile and static). But it seems there is no way to get a mobile T-55-1970 in the editor. Choosing a reserve tank company just gives T-62-1972, T-55-1974, T-62-1975 and maybe T-72(Early) at random. All of these variants have modern (more or less) fire control systems which means LRF (!!!) with the exception of the the T-62-1972. This can be seen in the Damage Report Tab, which lists no 'Targeting' system. (at T54B, T-55 and T-62-1972). What's the point of all of this? How does it matter? LRF is a reason why modern tanks aim so fast and precise. We have only T-62-1972 as a mobile tank without LRF in the game. From a wargamer perspective it would be nice to have have a second mobile 'low tec' tank model in the game. So, pleeeeease battlefront, give us mobile T-55-1970 with NATO modul.
