  1. "The Longest War: The Iran-Iraq Military Conflict" might be what you are looking for...
  2. >click here< spyware free and cost free...
  3. one thing occurred to me, I could remove the doors to the small cell buildings. Then the only way in would be with explosives, this would make it so the red side couldn't get to the prisoners so easily, and would even make the "prison break" seem more realistic and exciting... though I'm still unsure how to work the points out as i wondered in my first post...
  4. OK, I'm finishing up a scenario i have developed, in which some hostages are held by Syrian forces in a prison... what I'm unsure of is how to reward points to the blue side for successfully rescuing them? and maybe give the red side a penaltiy for losing them? and to a lesser degree how do i assure the red side if human controlled doesn't just choose to go down to the cells and shoot the prisoners thus denying the blue points? the "hostages" are portrayed by spy units... my idea for the latter issue was just to tell the red side they shouldn't do it, and it is on there honor to not "Cheat"...
  5. no i actually believe it can and does... although without the addition of fluoridated tap water you will be getting less.... though it is ultimately irrelevant as i don't use fluoridated toothpaste anyway...
  6. well they have done it MANY times before, so it's not a stretch to say they wont continue.... that alone is eyebrow raising enough for me, if it doesn't concern you, then don't be concerned about it and Doctor Paul Connett among others state many problems that come from fluoride increased bone cancer, reduces thyroid hormone production, and others. and Nobel laureate Dr. James Sumner is quoted saying "We ought to go slowly. Everybody knows fluorine and fluorides are very poisonous substances...We use them in enzyme chemistry to poison enzymes, those vital agents in the body. That is the reason things are poisoned; because the enzymes are poisoned and that is why animals and plants die." in my humble opinion from what i have read, if fluoride is really supposed to help your teeth, then apply it topically via toothpaste.. it doesnt need to be put in the water ingested and processed by the body for this effect... this and the other crap that ends up in water is why i and my family only drink water further purified by reverse osmosis, and eventually we will distill our own water when were able too...
  7. I still get chills listening to this song as it really strikes a chord with me... and the video does the song justice, especially the end with the Alex Grey visuals... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiV_ue-PbL4
  8. good point, one that SHOULD have been clarified in the article... i am at fault there though, as the article is actually titled "6 Crackpot Conspiracy Theories (That Actually Happened)" which is more in line with what they post.
  9. "And the chemtrail one is bravo sierra - certainly in the past populations on both sides of the Atlantic have been exposed to various things more-o-r-less sprayed on them. However the chemtrail hoax says that the spraying is at high altitude and is done by commercial airliners on normal routes.]" well that was the point of that segment. that in fact our government has a history of spraying poison on the populace... to say EVERY chem trail is poison is of course silly, but to say our government has sprayed poison on us so a chem trail could conceivable be laden with poison is based on our past quite feasible.... as for fluoride there are doctors and experts on both side of the debate, its not just wackos versus doctors and experts...
  10. this is chili how i make it. i have received a lot of compliments on it so i thought i would share it with you all so you may enjoy as well! INGREDIENTS 1 12 ounce package of morningstar sausage style recipe crumbles. (or a pound of ground beef or chicken) 3 cans of Bush's chili beans /w hot or medium chili sauce. 1 can petite cut diced tomatoes with jalapeno peppers. 1 8 ounce box of cream cheese. (sliced to help melting) 1 1 pound carton of campbells roasted red pepper and tomato soup. or just a large can of tomato soup works. 1 half of a large white onion chopped into maybe dime sized chunks. 1 Bell pepper chopped into maybe dime sized pieces roughly 2 tablespoons of chili powder. or to taste. roughly 1 tablespoon of garlic powder. or to taste. as much cayenne pepper powder as you dare! PREPERATION cook in large covered pot on medium heat until simmering and the cheese is well mixed/melted (the chili will develop a lighter color.) i usually have cornbread on the side and something to drink to cool the palette as i like to add a good dose of cayenne... enjoy!
  11. http://www.cracked.com/article_18955_6-crackpot-conspiracy-theories-that-actually-happened_p2.html some f'ed up stuff! enjoy...
  12. will there be the option for red vs red and blue vs blue games in CM:BN?
  13. if you really want to start playing I would first recommend the downloadable demo: http://www.battlefront.com/products/cmsf/downloads.html if you like the game (allow time for a steep learning curve) than I would buy a bundled one with all the modules, for one it offers more game choices, and another it allows for more possible human opponents to choose from. the patches are available at the above link i provided along with the demo. there is a manual in the physical game, and a pdf manual in the downloaded one... i found my best way of learning the game was experimenting with the computer a bit, and then playing humans willing to help me learn. and of course asking questions here. you don't directly control aircraft in the game no, you only direct there fire via spotters on the ground.
  14. I like to allow soldiers to give aid when I can as well, it helps with immersion into the game, as it adds to realism... however I have recently had it backfire on me! I had some artillery spotters on a rooftop, one of the three was shot and the other two wisely got down for cover. when they moved towards there fallen comrade, to administer aid the got into a crouching position, they were spotted and subsequently riddled with bullets...
  15. that is really pretty lame, I'll miss the suspense and tactical element of chance involved when an allied conscript unit sees every tank as a tiger... it seems unrealistic to have this new system... will there perhaps be a patch to remedy this?
  16. i dont ever remember any debates about how to work with or around the rules... but i guess just like that sdp decided to drop the whole thing... "LATEST UPDATES web site last updated January 2nd 2011 Operation Nemesis has been cancelled. Due to the perceived shortcomings of the rule sets I've decided not go ahead with this meta-campaign. I wish to thank all of you that enlisted and so enthusiastically put effort into this project. This website will close in short. The TACMAPs of the MC will be uploaded to GAJs CMSF Mods Warehouse when I find the time. cheers/sdp"
  17. so what gives? the Metacampaign site is ovverrun by a spambot and SDP seems absent
  18. good points, i don't know a lot about Mosque's... I know more now! I'm gonna revise it! and no this isn't based on a real location. it started with the map center ( the Mosque and street with rows of buildings facing each other, and then i just expanded and added things were the seemed to fit. only realizing later i never really came up with a scenario thankyou for the input all...
  19. the "syrope buildings" mod... the problem with the map is i just kinda lost myself in making a city, it was kind of fun! but didn't have a real scenario in mind... so now i have this fleshed out realized city. with a prison, big apartment buildings, office buildings, a centralized Mosque, farms, bridges, factories, outdoor theater, a park, and houses... there seem to be many possibilities. someone already suggested a sort of "prison break" scenario... this might be fun as a head to head game, with points lost for the rescuers for damage to the civilian buildings...
  20. i have more or less completed the layout of a city i have been working on for a while, now i need to come up with a scenario of sorts for it... let me know what y'all think, and if you have any ideas?
  21. I am playing the scenario "Joint Venture" with Sgt Grunt, as the Syrians. were in the second leg of the battle where i need to keep the Allies from re-taking the own we captured. I have arty spotters watching the approach of my enemy, and now on two separate occasions i have mysteriously lost mortar ammo... The first occurrence i targeted an area and adjusted after fire began, the next turn instead of adjusting, the fire mission just tapered off and the ammo was exhausted. I assumed maybe the orders just didnt get through in time, and they just finished the original mission exhausting the ammo. The second occurrence, i again wanted to adjust the target area, in this one, no rounds had yet fallen, not even spotting rounds... the next turn, instead of adjusting the mission was just gone, and ammo depleted! is this a bug? or is this some aspect of Syrian artillery spotter missions i don't understand?
