I think reorganizing french units played a role in the early demise of the French as there was little to no losses for the Germans when facing the first line of defense. I didn't have to restrengthen for a turn, and was able to avoid the snow as a result. What you don't see here obviously, are the heavy losses Germany took the next turn securing Paris, self destructing the front line tank unit to do it. But the French Navy looked to be up to no good in the Med and British troops lining up on the Libyan border persuaded me that the loss was going to be worth much more then if the French Navy got that one kamikazee turn against Italy.

China is crushable in Gold. I'm playing my first multiplayer match and I'll give you an update once I get rolling on how it goes versus a human player.

Looking for an opponent for either 1939 World at War or 1948 World at war. PM me and we'll set one up. -
This is not a cheat, but you will have to wait until at least 7 of these groups are killed before you can rebuild a single one.

Sorry to ask a different question here but.. I thought Battlefront.com changed it's policy's to 10 downloads and 2 Licences. I purchased Gold, and when I try to download the original GC from my account is says my account has expired. This is very disappointing as I've already paid for the original before, and now bought Gold but can not play it. I think I should be able to access my old copy so I can play the new one I purchased.

I think once you research Amphibious warfare to a high level they move pretty darn quick across the map. -
I'm very excited to play this scenario! Can you tell me if there are 8 major countries active? Or will all 8 play a major role upon liberation if not initially?

I just came back to SC after a few months away, and 3.0 is pretty amazing as I suspected it would. France DOW'd Belgium the turn after Poland fell and did a pretty darn good job of it. They killed the garrison in Brussels, and bombed not only Brussels but the rail hub to Emel so that I can't even operate into Brussels from the nearby town. Was pretty impressed, but I guess some of that is definitley credit for the AI. I'm interested in seeing if the Italian's in East Africa will fall this game, I've managed to march this rag tag group to major victories in every previous version i've played. And it's become a favourite battleground of mine. I'm playing at 100% (bring on the Russian Elite!), I'll let you know how it goes. Few errors so far: A few (maybe 4-5) Russians were wiped from the map during the bounary changes of Poland, and a garrison surrenders in Iceland during the scripts following Denmark's surrender. Is this garrison supposed to be placed there after they join the Allies instead? Also the Warsaw garrison took off running on Poland's 1st turn, and should probably be scripted to stay.

Couldn't the delay be just as easily represented by upgrading the units after they are deployed on the map? -

When turning on the program try right clicking and "run as admin" sometimes that works for lots of programs that don't acknowldege changes. Sometimes you have to even do this before you can transfer the files in. It might work, give it a shot. -
In previous releases of "Calm before the storm" finding balance between Germany and Russia has been a tough one, as like you've already noted mass income, and experienced units triumph very quickly. I have not had as much time to play test recent versions, but a few suggestions could be: Reduce the Actions points of ground troops. This will only be truely felt in the vastness of Russia and will better pace the German advance. Greatly increase the cost of Elite Reinforcements, the effects of this will largely be felt after the Russian winter strikes. Add decision events costing MPP to the Russian Player (or Russian AI) to assist Partisans in cutting supply behind the German front lines if they reach key cities before a predetermined date. This would test the German's players resolve to gamble and attack or play it safe and regroup. It will add another element to the game.

Has the game engine changed how supply works on Land, or is it just my imagination? I was playing a smaller campaign and German supply stretches far past what I thought it used to be capable of without capturing near by towns/cities.
