I was reading some superb reviews of CMBO, I can't remember where. Didn't get that one but then a year or so after saw a demo for CMBB. Tried it and was hooked. Been purchasing BF CMx2 series ever since and will continue to do so.

Very well done mission. Didn't succeed my first try but will try it again. Am thinking of doing a video AAR with it on my second try. Would make a great video. Already rated it and gave comments on it in the repository. Thanks for a great scenario.

Superb screenshots!

Looks interesting. Was not able to see any information regarding playable sides. Is this a H2H only?

Nice! Those pics are amazing.

I did download this but have not yet played it. I will comment on it when I do. Currently I'm actually playing your "CMRT Vorposten" scenario and you are correct, it is tough! Very much enjoying it by the way.

Beautiful work! Can't wait to try this one.

I enjoy it for something different and agree with the pros and cons listed by others here. However, my biggest gripe is that it is only "real time." Too much of a click fest IMHO, I never get good time to stop and view the cool graphics and actions. I'm always wondering what have I missed visually? The CMx2 series is still my favorite and go to game every time because you have the choice of real time or turn-based. The replay feature of CM is a big draw IMHO as well.

Looks very good. Looking forward to playing it.

Looks beautiful! You are an artist.

Looks absolutely superb! Very much looking forward to this.

When you are with your wife on a country drive and you then jabber all excitedly because you've seen the perfect hull down position.

Not really IMHO. If someone wants to create a Spanish Civil War game out of the CMx2 engine, let them talk to BF with respect to getting a license. Just like Combat Mission Afghanistan. Who knows, maybe someone will.

I don't think your guys cry out as they die enough.
That guy you are referring to sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

No mods that I can tell, no voice-overs or screen text, just action. (It does show a glitch with the PaK loader facing the wrong way, though.)

Oh, and this one from Proambulator is another great advert, too.
Yeah, that is a beautifully done video. So much to see. So much detail shown. That is one which should go in your "favorites" folder. It's in mine.

I too have noticed that AT guns are much harder to spot and actually have the element of surprise on their side again. I like it. It seems to work, it seems more real now as to what I was reading with respect to these guns used in battle. They are definitely more deadly because of this.

For a more realistic, demanding approach (if that is desired), keep the rarity points low and fight your urban fights with lots of infantry and very few vehicles and specialized weapons. Which is the way they were fought historically. An added benefit is it forces you to get better at fire and maneuver rather than building demolition.
Absolutely agree. I actually tend to play my CMx2 games this way. The other day I finished up a QB I had set-up against the AI where I was the commander of a German Security Battalion less a company. I had barb wire, mines and two attached 75mm infantry guns, off map. I was against an all infantry only rifle battalion which I gave AI a 25+ bonus in points. That battle was the most fun to date I've had in this game. It was a nailbiter. Quite interesting trying to defend and area with squads which only have bolt action rifles.

As already mentioned by others in this thread, you might want to check out John Tiller's Campaigns, specifically his Panzer Campaigns in the East. I have practically all of them and they are superb for operational level of play.

Yeah, I played this scenario last month or so and loved it. Beautifully done indeed.

Man, you guys really get into this game!

Epic stuff here! Oh what a sim!

Not sure I'm following you James. Do you not have the manual on you? In the first 2-3 pages it tells you how to install the game. Can you be more specific as to why that wouldn't work and what you need?
