Very much looking forward to this.

The popcorn is popping now.

Worked perfect for me. Read the instructions carefully and everything went problem free.
-
Perhaps if some people take the time to actually, slowly read, thoroughly read the patching instructions BF has provided; they wouldn't have any problems.

Very nicely done sir! Bravo.

Looks interesting. Will give me a chance to finally try these new vehicles. Thanks for putting this together.

Personally, I love the whole series. It is like a smorgasbord, when you are feeling like fish I go to CMFI, when I feel like steak, I go to CMBN and when I feel like stroganoff, I go to CMRT. It is all good depending on my taste at the moment. Right now I've got PBEMs in all three....what I pig I am.

In game I've learned to fear those canister shots when up against them. Powerful weapons.
-
Worked perfect for me. Probably less than if not fifteen minutes for install and reactivating the modules. Then again I'm assuming it went smoothly for me because I actually read the "read me" and the detailed instructions which are in it.

I bought it quite a while ago. I never play it. Hate UI and real time. Graphics are nice but what is the point if you are missing all the action in different spots on map because you are too busy with the click fest?

Man I love your AARs! An absolute joy to read!

Just wait till I get my teeth back in and my hair back on and I'll tell you a thing or two, now where did I put them?
Actually I work in IT and am not unfamiliar with the current state of things. One of the things I really dislike about how technology has affected people is this feeling that they have a right to know right now whatever it is they feel like knowing as if no one else's time matters. That sense of self entitlement used to be called in the good old days being spoiled f**king rotten and was frowned upon as exceedingly bad manners. Now it seems to be not just accepted, but expected. Personally I love BFs attitude. It is their product and their livelihood and they will deal with it in whatever manner they so choose that keeps it worth doing. Your alternative is what the guy in minecraft did, sold his business. At least one of the reasons is because the freakin pain in the ass user base made it no fun anymore.
Beautifully said!

I love watching these kind of actions play out... such a good game!
Yep, every little action is a small dramatic movie playing out in front of you and you can watch it over and over.

I think the communication policy has tremendous room for improvement. As a customer I feel like a customer of a multi billion $ company although it's such a small company.
No infos about progress, about the progress in fixing bugs, about reasons for delays, about upcoming features, about NOT coming features, no feedback to customer ideas.
Quite disappointing.
So your join date was in August of this year and you've made an assumption about BF in this extremely short time. Doesn't say much about your reasoning ability. In fact quite disappointing.

Beautiful! I cannot wait to try this. Screenshots look amazing.

Got this happening with a British Para AT gun crew in a new game I started with the upgrade. My fix for this has been to stop the movement order and let them set up. Then I give them a new movement order and it seems to get them back to normal.

What a great thread. I agree with all things mentioned above.

If you are into scenario design you can take those master maps, open them up in your editor, save as another name. Once you do that you can now take the map size tool and cut out the section of the master map you want to use for your own scenario. It is beautiful to say the least.

Ah..."Up Front." I loved that game. It really was a cool squad level tactical war-game. Still got it stashed away for safe keeping.
-
Just the different uniforms and equipment of the troops looks and feels so different. You definitely feel as if you are in a whole new theater.
-
This is a great thread. Been working on my first two missions, little by little and all this advice helps.

CMFI is a gem. I agree with the posters here. The terrain is indeed very different, just as difficult as CMBN terrain but unique in many respects. The TO&Es really stand out in the differences as well.
@MarkEzra
What scenario are you talking about? Sounds most interesting.

Great reads.

Boy that is a tough one GB Scurlock. It sounds from your description that those enemy troops are really in a prime defensive position. Have you taken at look at Bill Hardenberger's tactics site? This is probably your best bet.

It is a superb scenario. I am looking forward to replaying it with the new vehicle pack.
