  1. I also play WEGO for two reasons. One the playback. So much drama to see from so many angles, I just couldn't play without it. Second, I like the fact that I must wait 1 minute to issue new orders. It kind of brings an uncontrollability to the battlefield, a chaos of war so to speak where I cannot do anything but hope I made the correct call and let the chips fall where they may.

  2. I bought 2.0 but this small update does not seem to contain anything which would change game play remarkably. I am not interested to use 10 dollars for some graphical changes.

In my opinion it is just a bad joke to require purchasing for this kind of improvement.

IMHO your statement is really the joke. Hey, thanks for the laugh.

  3. Waiting for 6 months just to save $5 (maybe) seems like a inefficient use of resources. While you're waiting (instead of playing) you'll probably find yourself renting extra Netflix movies, doing God know what in the real world, and at the end of 6 months you would have burned through an extra $25 trying to amuse yourself, all to save an extra $5. ;)

Boy, you hit the nail on the head. It is mind boggling.

  4. But since I bought CMBN way back before they even told us there'd be upgrades, I am entitled to the AI triggers for free...along with anything else they decide to put in the games, from now until eternity.

    Mord.

Damn right! I'm the customer and I'm always right...even if I'm so gosh awful wrong! :D

  5. just so you know, this kind of nickel and diming is what got KA50 upgrade for DCS into trouble.

and was not appreciated paying for the same product twice.

engine upgrades are supposed to be free, as in what other companies do.

Case in point they just upgrade all their products to 3.0, so now you buy it at this level. one price for all, now I'm paying for it twice as much then if I just buy it again

    in the new wrapper.

This isn't the same product. It is a different product with new features. They need to recover business costs in bringing these features to the older modules. Same product would be to leave well enough alone.

What other companies do? So BF is the same as every other company out there in the world? Their costs structures are the same as say General Electric or Lockheed?

  6. This is you level of argumantation...?

For ppl like you the world is easy - go and enjoy yourself. :)

All Combat Mission x2 titles with their modules are so expensive but they are still lacking so many features, that it is a real brazenness/impertinence to let the customers pay for every little additional feature/improvement that should have been in the game already from the beginning - like it is the case in other wargames like e.g. the "Men of War" series etc.

Lacking features? You apparently can't read or don't read features list and you have poor memory in terms of remembering what we started with and where this simulation is now. So expensive? Compared to what? I've had hundreds if not thousands of hours of enjoyment with this game at a small price point I may add. $20 to bring the other modules up to speed and that is expensive? Clearly you need to go play something else then. I drop that every time I take my wife to a movie and we only get to enjoy that once.

Brazenness/impertinence to expect to be paid for work performed? Should have been in the game already from beginning? LOL...come on.

You have no argument. All your tantrums about how BF has cheated or is cheating you are laughable at best.

  7. There is a point here. Say a V 4.0 comes out, and you've been an exceedingly loyal customer buying every CM game. To upgrade your collection that small $10 fee could be aaas high as $50 (CM:A, CM:BN, CM:FI, CM:RT, and CM:SF). Now if you throw in Black Sea and the Bulge game you are paying $70 to upgrade your games to the same level.

I also wondered about fire weapns. Presumably some formations currently in CMBN and CMFI should have fire weapons by default.

No, there is not a point other than these people want to get something from BF without paying for the labor and know how in bringing all modules up to same game version. They are not forced to purchase anything. They can stay with the game engine version they have and play to their hearts content. They just cannot play with others in PBEM games who have upgraded and they cannot enjoy the new features added to the older modules.

  8. Same here.

Enough is enough - I won't be a party to that.

Another one who wants something for nothing. Amazing.:(

  9. Are you sure about that? There was mass migration from 1.0 to the 2.0 upgrade. Don't envision the same happening with 3.0 missing some marquee features. I do see PBEM mismatches. Maybe take more time, charge more $, or both?
