  1. Hi - I'm trying to install the 1.21 patch. I have the Marines and Brit Modules on a Paradox base game. The patch I've downloaded is this one: http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=41&Itemid=379 I believe this is the correct patch for the game version I have. When the game automatically starts up at the end of the installation process - I get a dialogue box saying: "CMSF Marines.exe unable to find component" followed by a description: "MSVr 7.11.dll not found" I'm running CMSF on an iMac with bootcamp on XP SP2 Any help would be appreciated.
  2. There is no command delay as such. Units will pause a bit at each waypoint. There are no kill stats - but I've no idea why? Fixed for CMN?
  3. I cannot imagine the amount of grumbling if NATO came out first. Actually it'd probably be howls
  4. Whilst picking over the bones of history is nice, a real game bone would taste much better!
  5. Why won't the upcoming Nato module include the new QB system.
  6. I get the out of memory problem playing "armored Assault" in the Brit module- I'm playing PBEM and it's only happening on the latest game file - which is 21.5mb, the previous file is 18.5mb and runs fine. I can view the movie - but when it comes to issuing new orders, I get booted from the game with the out of memory dialog. I tried changing the settings to "fast" - but it made no difference. System - iMac 2.66ghz, 2gig ram, XP. What is the situation with this ?
  7. It only takes about a minute or so to boot into XP on my iMac - so it's not really a big deal...... also I have virtual folders for the PBEM files in the OSX finder - so it's easy to send moves to my opponents - as the XP partition is not connected to the internet.
  8. ......it was the ATI problem - sorted now Cheers YD Totally different game - playing the Brits! Our armour is made of balsa wood or something!!
  9. Targeting has become odd and inconsistent - when targeting a building with area fire when you click where you want it, the aim point suddenly jumps back say 50m, when moving your aim point around a building the target distance can jump up and down in a disproportionate amount. Also selecting an enemy target can be difficult. Also selecting a unit - when this is done during a movie, the game pauses, then redraws the background, then resumes the movie. Also selecting a unit during the orders phase gives the same results, it takes ages for the unit to be selected, then the terrain redraws itself. Thus the game is much less smooth running and has become a bit of a pain to play. System: 20" iMac, XP sp2
  10. I recently bought the Paradox version for a few quid, I'd avoided buying CMSF for so long because I'd heard it had some problems, but for a few quid, it was a no brainer. I patched it straight away - and boy I was impressed!! - I bought the marines module and am now eagerly awaiting the Brits along with everyone else. I'm also pestering a mate to get CMSF as it's so cheap........ so the strategy certainly works CMSF outshines CMx1 by so much that it's now painful to play it.
  11. I really enjoyed this campaign - I thought the scale was just right - having to be carefull with casualties made it much more difficult and fun. I had no problem with the third scenario, but it was certainly the most difficult - i managed to cross by the footbridge - as long as you have enough overwhatch - it's no problem.
