Somewhat off topic (but for replayability with IEDs/VBIEDs and suicide bombers) it would be nice if BFC allowed for a "probability" tab with regard to units being placed within maps (Much like ARMA II allows for). Where you are allowed to give a percentage figure on whether a particular unit/s will actually show up within a created mission. This would a nice feature in CMSF...especially with regard to IEDs...

  4. I find Helicopters terribly inaccurate throughout CMSF......Now planes put fires exactly where you want them..

I try to play much the same mannner.....Though with some of the CCQ engagements I find US Forces not to be as decisive and as thorough in violence of action as Crack/Elite US forces are (have been documented to be) in small CCQ engagments in both Iraq and Stan.... Though there are work arounds that CMSF allows for to try and balance this out.... Can't wait to see your mission work....
  8. Again, incredible, with each new view - Question?, Do you have any concerns about how the CCQ will play out? Meaning sometimes it seems with CMSF, CCQ can be complicated in how it plays out within different maps.....(than again, CCQ/MOUT is inherently complicated / dangerous). Also, is it possible to play with three different units on the BLUE side? Meaning, can you have US ARMY, MARINES and an Iraqi unit all on the same side?
  9. With Marines now in the real world being outfitted quite regularly with M4s, is there any chance we are going to get this option with CMSF? I can't believe it would be that complicated to implement considering the M4 weapons model is already modeled with the game in terms of specs & apperance...
  10. I stilll sometimes don't find any rhyme or reason to how equipment is provided to given units based on "equipment settings" (good, normal, elite, etc). I can't seem to find a way to consistently get Marine Infantry to be outffited with the M32 GL...at least not all squads (or even 2 of the 3 out of a Plt)
  11. Thanks....The brigher mod really helps with the differences.....I was never exactly sure if the darker red was certain KIA or not. With the skull and bones mod it helps.
  12. With the Iconed Bases Mod....which basically allows for brighter (and directional) information on your units on the ground....... I was wondering and believe it to be the case...the color coded and symbol coded unit bases... Of course Green = Healthy unit (pointed in the arrrow direction). Yellow = Lightly wounded (still in the fight) Red = Seriously wounded (out of the fight) Red with skull and bones =?? (of course this means out of the fight, but does this also mean there is 100% certainty of KIA?). If so it would help some, with knowing which units were definitely KIA in the AAR (since we don't have those stats right now). Thanks...
  13. I wasn't aware of this either? CMSF doesn't allow for / use dual & quad core systems? How is that possible? Surprising that BFC wouldn't have found a way / solution for dual / quad users....Such systems are the entire future,,,, Hell, my system is 3 years old and it is a quad-core. Is this an issue that can be addressed? Will it be? In terms of CMSF...
  14. Perhaps you can with the SMAW?.....but what about when your Marine Infantry units....(that don't carry SMAWs)....but load up on ATs ...and you need to breach a wall section? It is frustrating as hell that units can't be outfitted with breaching chargers (almost all have these when in MOUT situations today).
  15. How can I get Infantry units (that don't have explosives charges....Which really need to be included in all units I think)....but how do I get units to use their SMAWs or ATs on walls? If you target them, they waste ammo (needlessly). Is there something I'm missing?
  16. Allowing for Scout units to have charges/explosives would be nice (and is SOP in real life, if such might be needed during MOUT operations)....

If we can't get more AAR "stats".....It would be nice if we could simply have it where when a soldier dies within a unit....his slot (within the unit) simply turns red or brown, some ID color to show he is no longer part of the active unit....but that he was THERE at the start. Now how it works, where the guy just completely drops from the unit list isn't helpful at all. And doesn't allow for you to (in a reasonable fashion) know exactly which units have lost which men.
  18. A more detailed AAR / stats would be wonderful for CMSF. Is there any chance at all of this happening?? It seems like such would have been a "given" going into CMSF. That it hasn't been addressed in any of the expansions makes be think it won't ever happen.... Also a little more variety......(not modding, by the community per say)... But with the loyal customer base who has already purchased CSMF-Marines- UK, etc.... It would be nice if BFC would throw out a variety pack of outfitted units. That we could then purchase / place within user made scenarios. I would like to be able to outfit smaller ReCon units with "explosives" for example.... Or give small squad units more firepower....... I see no harm if BFC would simply throw out a variety of units put together by them (instead of a modding community) that just provides so more variety for all the customers to work with....
  19. Has anyone found a good way / creative way to have IED threats while playing SP? Creating your own scenario's / making them....and then playing them. I've found various ways to keep the FOW high in terms of SP sceanrio's I've created .....but I've yet to implement the IED factor.... Just curious to what others are doing...
  20. LLF - Can't wait for your first few missions to come out! Just excllent work on this map - and I'm sure if breaking down operations into smaller sections of this map will help PC handle it....
  21. LLF - Great looking map! Ramadi was exactly part of the turning point in OIF......This work / efforts of yours is definitely appreciated! Can't wait to be able to DL your map and put together some scenarios.....My limited gaming time has been lately taken over by ARMA2....but your map will defintely have me back to CMSF. Any ETA on being able to DL the map?
  22. The best way I have found is to do the "reinforcement trick". Either bringing them in later than when the mission would likely be over...(or less realistic) bringing them in, but placing them somewhere way off the "playable" map area, and having them in closed more or less
  23. This notion was perhaps accurate in 03/04.....but was not the case at all by late 05/06/07...
