  1. I'm not whining, just simple logic. The more weapons goes around the bigger risk of it getting into the wrong hands. I mean kids shooting each other after getting their parents guns or buying from someone are practically unheard of here in Sweden. Of course not, I have been to Sweden the total population is less then the small town I live in which is Los Angeles California.
  2. Not sure how submarines shoot. Now there is a gun I havent used. I would not desire to harm Blashy and since he would not bring a gun I would let him alone. If he brought a gun I would shot him dead and never think about the poor man again. I would offer incense to him though.
  3. If you were to actually serve in combat which one would be your choice. Also which theater of operation. For me it would have been WWII African theater.
  4. Never tried Micro brew. Never will. It is made in America and I do not touch American beer no matter how good they claim that crap is. This means I only drink a few times a year when I am vacationing.
  5. Those combat scenes where very realistic. It was as close as I have come to having flashbacks when I first saw that movie. I wasnt in WWII but I spent 5 years in Nam recieving 3 purple hearts there. Even though landing on a beach like that is way over the hill for me,I dont think I would have really been that brave. I have them bravery medals but I didnt do anything like land on one of those beaches. I have seen combat and that was almost real.
  6. Sorry Rambo I am Buddhist. My religion is pretty non violent but I tried on some martyer clothing and they just didnt fit. So even though I now attempt to avoid confortation I still find myself involved in stuff. I hope someday the world learns to live without violence but until that happens someone has to just say no.
  7. Rambo is correct each country bottles it own Coke. Some kind of Coke rule not sure exactly why. May not be true in some really small countries though. As to beer I only drink beer in England, Germany and Taiwan. I only like German beer. I can tolerate English beer. Taiwan beer has an interesting flavor. French beer tastes like Rue smells. American beer is the worst beer in the world. Hell even Vietnamese Beer was better the American beer.
  8. You know it may just be possible that if every man woman and child in the countries invaded had a gun when Hitler was vacation over all of Europe, the Europeans may have been better able to defend themselves if they had guns. Americans have always felt we are not able to be invaded because we all own guns. Even our own government is aware we all own guns. This prevents unwelcome guests from the local thief to the soldier from walking in unannounced. Sure we would lose vs the Army invading our home but at least they are aware it is not just a free ride.
  9. Lol no it's not crazy. It's just a fact that more fire-arms circulating cause more violence and gun-shotings. Look at the statistics, US are over-represented big time. </font>
  10. Now you being the only person willing to smell your butt I will not contradict what you say but other then Africa and South American I have travelled throughout the world and cokes taste like cokes everywhere. I know they withdrew the cocaine but maybe you have an old lot?
  11. "You had a gun at age 13? .... I do know this is a while back, but is this still normal nowadays in the States?" Of course I had a gun at 13 recieved one for my 10th birthday. Someone steals from me they should die. I wouldnt steal from them. He could have stopped or not started. I told him to stop he didnt I shot. It is a felony to steal property over $500 in value in most states. Just one of those birds cost me $2000 so he was a felon and you are allowed to use the force necessary to stop a felon. Yes there is a 3 strike rule. Very poor rule but it exists in some states. Doesnt deter crime and only makes me pay to support criminals while they eat in jail. Sorry but me and mine have never committed a felony. Throughout my families history only my bother ever committed a crime. He smoked a joint and spent 10 years in prison in PA for that. So we are a law abiding family. We are also intolerant of criminals. My bother is still not allowed back in my fathers house because he is a criminal. Now that may be tough but he had the choice. Not sure I agree with Dad's opinion but he hates criminals. We are also a military family and have fought in all of Americas wars so having the right to possess a gun makes sense. Those who can do. Those who cant complain about those who can.
  12. Unless you're a criminal. Unless you're a criminal. Unless you're a criminal. Unless you're a criminal. Unless... you get the picture. Gun bans don't affect homocide. http://law.bepress.com/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=6426&context=expresso More OT, I will pass on Rambo IV. Only saw the first one, not bad, the rest were so poorly reviewed (by friends) that it was a clear waste of time to watch them. </font>
  13. If I copy this game into a new folder with a different name will I still be able to play it as is? Concerned because of the weird security game has. I am wanting to do this prior to the release if the new verison to assure myself I do not lose the A3R presently available.
  14. Ditto. It has to work, and it has to, worst case, hit only what you intend - that takes practice. You'll be amazed at the recoil - better to find out during practice than during a confrontation. </font>
  15. This is crazy. I hear this all over Europe and Canada. When you outlaw weapons you are only giving weapons to criminals. I would never give up my weapon even if they make me a criminal for having it. I hope to never have to shot someone again. I have shot more then enough people but when you need a gun trying to use a knife or club just isnt going to do. First person I shot was when I was 13. He was raping the lady across the street and the kids came over and asked for help. I grabbed my gun and shot him. He died. I was happy. Second person I shot I was 15 he was stealing my prize Lahore pigeons. I missed only hit him in the shoulder. Cursed myself since as he will probably commit a crime again. Other then in the military I have not shot anyone else and hope not to but I will keep my gun just in case. I guess in Europe and Canada when they rape your neighbot you call the police and watch until they arrive. I just am not that kinda man.
  16. I was the senior instructor for the Army Rifle Team from 73-74. I also shot for them so I am profient with weapons. When I fire a weapon something dies. My original training was by the Bakersfield Police Department when I was 10. They had a law that anyone who owned a weapon was required to go through a safety and training course in the taught you not only to use your weapon but all kinds of military and police weapons. It was a blast and excellant training. I hope they still have that law. It allows ownership but only if you have been trained and qualified with your weapon. As a kid it was the best.
  17. I find human play in this game dawl and boring. I watch as someone destroys the Poles, French then proceeds to destroy the British in Africa. Then they march off to Russia where I watch the Axis destroy city after city. Seems boring since I can find no way for the Allies to do anything about what happens. Russia can rarely even muster a fight. I am sure it is somehow my poor play but I do so much better in other games verses Humans I wonder why in this one I get to take no actions. Anyway human play is something I dread and avoid. I am presently playing a gentleman who is play purely historical but the result is the same. Game is boring and I have been unable to do anything effective for 2 years. Winter is coming and we shall see if I can actually muster enough force to actually make an assualt.
  18. It is hard to say if production would have increased or decreased if England surrendered. Canada may have just stopped wageing war with Germany and come to terms you stay on your side of the Atlantic we stay on our side. America was strongly opposed to the war in 39 and 40. One of the election themes was no Americans would lose there blood on foreign soil. Since our primary customer England would no longer be at war we may have actually lowered production. The big question would be if and how America would support the war with Russia.
  19. When I was younger I can remember many people used to still carry a holster gun all the time. Now you really never see one. I personally own a 44 Mag pistol which I keep for home protection. I have never fired it but I have collected a couple of weirdos with it. One was attempting to climb in my bathroom window. Once I place the barrel on his forhead he just waited for the cops to arrive. Other was an arson who burned down all the garages on the block. I saw him running as I came out the door and convinced him I would actually shoot him if he didnt stop running. That was a really good move on his part because I would have shot him. A man without a gun is merely a victim.
  20. ABeing an agnostic i must correct you. An agnostic is someone who does not know. that is it. They do not believe everything told to them and make thier own decisions. they may go back and forth through life from one end of the spectrum to the other but they generally keep thier minds open and do not allow clouding from any direction. I personally don't think it is harder for a person to believe there is no soul than a person who believes there is. I have found through my life that those who believe in unprovable entities cause more death and destruction than those who don't. I will decide whether to believe in something someday if I live long enough. I hope this clarifies things for you. Also many people believe that atheists believe in the Devil. Lol that's so funny it's not worth commenting on. But i will anyway. If you believe in any entity you must believe in the others of that pantheon. </font>
  21. I dont know. I was Special Forces and I have always said I must have gone to the remedial SF training since I cant do anything Rambo can. Its a wonder I survived training I cant even take out one army single handedly. I feel like such a failure.
  22. Eh boys, religion discussions like the above two really belong elsewhere. Personnally, I am Buddhist. I believe there was a Jesus. He is similiar to all the Buddha's a teacher. The Christians believe in Jesus as a God. That is okay by me. I dont mind Mohammad either another Buddha by my religion. The important thing is these religions attempt to make you better people. They attempt to give people a long term believe of our existance and why we are here. People try to turn the books around to support fanatical ideas but that does not make the books used bad only the people who abuse them. I dont believe all the stories in these books. The choice of which stories where made by man who we all know is corrupt. It is the authors purogitive to emblish his writtings. So what I am saying is all the religions are good. Having read the Coran, Bible and Buddhist writtings I find them all very similiar. Agnositics and athetist must have a very difficult time dealing with life since they believe this life is it. That would be a horrible thought for me and I piety them. With there feeling that they are here for no reason.
  23. Do you know that in Elvish from the Simarilium Targul means High Sorcessor.
  24. Anxiously awaiting the release sounds like massive improvements in both AI which I already felt was the best in the industry and realism. Hats off to what looks like a real winner. Thanks for you efforts.
  25. November 18th, 1941...German troops attacking Venev, on the southern pincer drive to Moscow, are themselves counterattacked by a Siberian division and armored brigade. These forces bring something new to the battlefield: white fur coats for the Siberian infantry and the T-34 tank, whose American Christie suspension, sloping armor, and 76mm gun make it one of the most powerful in the world. The Germans fight back, but the extreme cold freezes their automatic weapons. The Germans panic. "This was the first time that such a thing had occurred during the Russian campaign, and it was a warning that the combat ability of our infantry was at an end, and that they should no longer be expected to perform difficult tasks." However, German General Franz Halder notes in his diary that "the Soviets had nothing left in the rear, and his predicament is probably even worse than ours." From WWII by David Lippman I wonder why people have decided these units did not exist. This is just one of hundreds of where Siberians were used. And only one example where the T34 was used by them.
