Well, in the segment you quoted, he mentioned midnight EST, that is US Eastern time, which is GMT -5. obviously they cannot cater the release to every timezone in the world. They are not magicians. Whether its Americans, Brits, Indians or New Zealanders, someone on this planet is likely to be asleep at the time the download goes live. Also you might note that the said "no longer than half a day". He did not say no less than half a day. Still, I small progress update would be very nice, though I suppose that is presuming that the crew at BFC have a clear picture of what is goign on. It may be that once they upload it to the servers,they may not have any control of how long it takes their contractors to throw open the floodgates.

Any hints as to how far out we are now? Are we looking at within the next couple of hours, or are we talking several hours away?

NOt to mention users may also create their own scenarios from scratch. I am sure that in the coming weeks and months, the community will contribute a wide variety of missions and campaigns to suit all tastes.

Perhaps, but on the other hand, no system for testing is foolproof. No matter how thorough you are, things like this can still happen at any software company. A little review of procedures never hurt anyone, but when all is said and done, this is pretty minor. I've see a few situations with game releases that were really ugly, and which dragged out for weeks, or even months.

Well, let's see. MadMatt stated in his post that preorder customers would get "half a day's jump" over regular purchasers. If they plan the official relase for shortly before midnight (US Eastern Time), that means downloads should open sometime before noon, which is just over one hour from now. Shouldn't be long now

Of course there are many subtle factors that one must take account of when planning a wedgie. After all, the strategy and tactics used will ultimately determine the overall effectiveness, as well as the pain vs. humor factor of any given wedgie. For example, it helps if the wedgier knows ahead of time what type of underwear is being worn by the wedgieee. Depending on circumstances, this may require some intelligence work of a mildly perverted nature. As some underwear is considerably more elastic than other types, one must use this information to determine whether an atomic wedgie should be attempted. Failure to accomplish this determination may result in severe injury to the wedgieee, and, or, expensive lawsuits against the wedgier. Moon, This is pretty important information regarding release, and not everyone will see it buried in this thread. Might I suggest that you repost this info in a locked sticky post at the top. It might help prevent mass chaos later this evening when the next shift of whiners show up demanding their game. P.S. Try emailing customer support. I am sure they will have be able to sort it out for you.

Its well worth downloading and installing the demo just for early access to the full manual (which is included). Its a pretty hefty document and nota bad read either. Personally, I really love a well writtten manual. They are so rare these days. A big thank you to those who worked on it.

Maybe I missed it somehow, but does the manual contain a keyboard command card? Or is there a separate one included with the hard copy? It would be nice to have all that in one place.

Did you run the included configuration tool? Its a separate app in the TOW folder on the Start menu. I corrected this problems by changing the defaul screen resolution and monitor settings.

Thanks for posting this Madmatt, and thanks for the demo too. That will help. I for one, as an impatient preorderer sincerely appreciate your deidication and sincerity. If it violates an NDA or is simply too complicated to explain, I'll understand, but curiosity compells me to inquire about the nature of the complications you refer to. Is it a problem with facilitating the download, or is it a problem with the game? Avwriter
