  1. My god, you are really unstopable. I was just thinking i would like smaller sized forces fighting on large maps. Thank you 1000 times over.
  2. I also agree, this definatly is an improvement, but it feels like this should be the first released version. With 1.4 and the 3 QB map packs made by Mishga and MarkEzra, i find my self enjoying the game, rather then playing one scenario, and turning it off in frustration as i did in previous versions. Some continued patching will polish the game further, but the bugs that I notice now at least, are small, annoying, but not gamebreaking. Definatly worth another try if you have shelved it pre 1.4.
  3. Hey, over here! Something to watch while you wait.Insurgent Attack on Supply Truck SPOILER: LOL
  4. Nobody buys the lone programer theory anymore. You just cant fire off that many patches in that short a time.
  5. Damn, a total of 60 new QB maps that work well in a matter of a month!? Mabey you guys should get put on the battlefront payroll. Now all i need it time to play them all.
  6. Wow, i have been having the same issue. Holding up the works on my scenario design. Reinforcements work though? Thats strange, but come to think of it i did notice my reinforcement groups moving during tests. Have any of you tried messing around with AI groups and seeing if that does anything? I will try when i get some free time, that might not be for a few days though.
  7. Unfortunatly, i want to simulate a car bomb attack, and i cant do that without baking for this particular scenario. However, authors could always upload a baked version, and a non-baked version.
  8. Your right. I apologize if i was rude in my response to your post, wargamer. I just dont see why we need to argue about this in this subforum too.
  9. I lied, baking DOES work. You just have to make sure you open the right file
  10. Oh, so it's the people who complain who are to blame for the low prices? I find that stupid. You can always find a discount place that will sell something lower then you paid, which is why the whole controversy over price is a bit overblown. But to say the price is driven down by whiners, well, thats stupid. Thanks, thats good information. Why is this in the scenario forum anyway? The scenario forum has always been spared this whole arguing back and forth over these things, can we keep it that way? Mabey i should not have responded so critically if i am suggesting we dont argue in here, but i dont care.
  11. My comp: Intel 3.0ghz processor ATI radeon x850 video card 3 gigs of ram WiC demo runs beautifully on my 3 year old computer, i was suprised at how well it really ran. My friend had similar thoughts, i comented that the game was optimized well. However, i find the game to be a bit too unrealistic for my taste, for a strategy game anyway. CMSF runs fair to poor, on medium settings. I cant play large maps with any level of enjoyment due to low FPS.
  12. Is there anyway to tell if a scenario is baked or not? I cant recall wether or not i saved after baking, and now trying to fix a problem with bunkers being repositioned by the AI in completely stupid ways, i cant tell if it is not working because i baked, or because of something else.
  13. Baking didnt seem to work either. Mabey its that the path is not straight? I dont know, the scenario will only be playable from one side now, which is unfortunate.
  14. BigDukeSix is running one currently, you may be able to get in it. Here is the Forum, http://the-battle-of-lauben-campaign.foren-city.de/
  15. Nice trench, using sacks to look like sand bags, thats a really good idea.
  16. I tried the AI unit planning, the results where not ideal. I will try baking next.
  17. Is it possible to make the AI use a VIED? I cant seem to get it to work on my new scenario. The AI seems to ignore the VIED completely, and leave it sitting in the set up position. Anyone have any success with this?
  18. Just played, great scenario. Both map and briefing look nice, and it was a challenge as far getting into position and corridinating my attacks. --- POSSIBLE SPOILERS --- Snuck up my rpg guys, and took out the right bunker (from players perspective) in a volley. After that the BMPs and Tank showed up, and i got nervous they would over run me. Luckily the Americans arrived with their air support. Suppressed left bunker with MG and Sniper teams, while i moved the rest of the force with technicals to the KOed right bunker. Before i could swing around the right flank, air strikes arrived, winning the mission. Only four casualities, and i think one was from the huge blasts of the airstikes. I also liked the small touches, like the BBC reporter and interpreter, as well as that dead tank for cover. Two things i think would be good to consider to improve the mission: 1. Smaller loadouts for the air support. 2. Have the BMPs and Tank attack the Kurds after a few minutes, to simulate a reaction to the bunker getting destroyed. This would add a challenge, and threaten the BBC reporter. In my game they stopped in the center.
  19. If you get FRAPs, you can turn that on and use that programs key to take screen shots (assigns one the the F# keys). It saves them all in a folder for you, so you dont have to alt tab after every screen shot. I dont really know why print screen is not working for you, works for me, its just a pain to keep alt tabing.
  20. From greatest to least, Full, Adequate, Limited, Scarce, Severe are the choices. Also there is Typical, which selects a random setting based on the units other attributes (syrian militia vs republican guard)
