  1. Brazil contributed some troops to the fight in Europe after their DOW. Does anyone know the details and whether it would be worth it to add a corps (probably US controlled)?
  2. I will also add all of the AI scripts by Edwin and Normal Dude as soon as they are ready. I believe that Edwin and Normal Dude are now collaberating to put them together.
  3. I don't want to make fun of anyone's spelling, but "corpses"?, too funny. I'm imagining German artillery launching their corpses over the Russian front lines. "The Russian northern front collapsed and I took Riga and Minsk with my corpses from that frontline"
  4. Hi guys: Let everyone know when your combined AI redo is all done. I'd love to include it in my Expanded Custom Scenario soon.
  5. Actually I AM a hard core Grognard and love the game. Hubert has given us a tool in the editor to take the basic game and really delve in and make it something that is as complex as we want it to be. He could have spent all of his time in refining the game and not providing the editor but I am glad he did.
  6. Hubert (or anyone): Right now I am assuming that Partisans added via Partisan event scripts will only trigger if a tile is enemy controlled? Is this true? I wanted to use Partisans as Garrison type troops. Is there any way to add them to freindly territory via script or otherwise?
  7. Working on for version 4: 1. How to get the Volksgrendier and British Home Guard activations working. Right now they will not trigger in friendly home tiles, only enemy controlled ones. To simulate low-level garrison and territorial type infantry I was thinking of the possibility of reducing the German and UK infantry base values to those of partisans. I would then change the on map infantry to higher tech levels to bring them back to their starting OOB values. This would allow garrison type troops to be purchased. 2. Addition of a few more historical naval units to the starting OOB and the production queues. 3. Port of Le Havre. 4. French HQ to the production queue for early 1940. (Thanks Fart....) 5. German annexation of the Polish General Governement territory upon conquest of Eastern Poland. I don't think that any territorial changes regarding Ostland (Baltic States) or Ukraine will happen as this will affect USSR Partisan triggering. Dave.
  8. I only expanded east and south so incorporating the AI scriptsshould work fine. As for the French HQ, I think that I may add it to the production queue but not in the starting OOB. Move the RAF over to kill that bomber!

  10. I am going to try this solution: If I make Vichy a 10% Axis nation instead of 100% neutral it may allow enemy units to remain. My reasoning is that when Germany conquers a nation all of its tiles become 100% Axis controlled but it leaves enemy units alone (except for the units of the nation conquered.
  11. Thanks Preusse, done. If Normal Dude would be so kind as to email me the scripts, that would be great. All of the annexations are updated according to the map you posted Major. I have updated to patch V1.02 and uploading CMMods right now. Please give it a whirl guys.
  12. Why would they surrender in Vichy when they don't surrender in the remainder of France?
  13. If I create a script that activates Partisan units on home soil (home guard), will this trigger? Or does the tile have to be enemy controlled. For example, on Axis invasion I have created a script to add UK partisans to represent the British Home Guard. Will these partisans appear in UK controlled tiles?
  14. Is it normal for UK units on Vichy France territory to surrender when France goes Vichy? For example, my BEF was in Marseilles when Vichy happened and it surrendered!!!???
  15. Right now I have simply used the Czech flag as the Slovakian one. Can anyone post what the Slovakian one looked like in WW2? I have already added the Blue Legion and the Volksgrenadiers (Basically the German Home Guard). I was planning on adding Dutch, Belgian, Norwegian, Ukrainian and Danish SS corps soon. Script limitations make it difficult to add everything that should be added, especially the reversal of annexations after re-conquest. That may have to be left out for now.   16. OK, I have finished the next version and will upload it tomorrow. It includes Croatia AND Slovakia, Macedonia to Bulgaria, Transylvania to Hungary, Alsace to Germany and Nice to France. I have added Rhodes. I also added some units to the starting OOBs, particularly some air units. Give me some time to get the other ones in there. Dave.

  18. Rambo: We Canadians generally join with the Europeans in denouncing: 1. the Invasion of Iraq (In my opinion the invasion of Afghanistan was a good thing and there was just cause); 2. Rampant American aggression around the world; 3. Disregard for the opinions of other nations; 4. The rise of the religious conservatives in your country; 5. Ignorance of anything non-American; 6. George Bush and his good ol' boys club in general. But, I think we all agree that the US has been the reason we have been able to continue these debates for the past 50 years.   19. Major.....what was the date of the Vienna conference and what tiles do you suggest I transfer via script those nations? Dave.
  20. My next update by the weekend will include: 1. Croatia created as a puppet state of Germany with Zagreb as a capital. (I found one extra slot) 2. Annexation of Alsace and Slovenia. 3. Annexation of Western Poland. (This had been taken out as I was having problems with Free Polish units due to the loss of Warsaw as a capital, but Hubert fixed it in the patch) 4. Activation of British home guard on invasion. 5. Annexation of Dutch Guyana and French Guyana by UK after each of those countries goes down. 6. Addition of some units to the force pools. 7. Reduction in cost and attack values of minor infantry. 8. Hard build limits. (Nations will need to build minor country units once they hit the cap) Keep the suggestions coming! Dave.

  22. 1942: Hitler agrees to his generals advice and transfers all resources to Army Group's North and Center for the renewed offensive. By July 1942 both Moscow and Leningrad have fallen and the Russian leadership has been thrown into disarray with the death of Stalin in an air attack. Axis armies turn South to capture Stalingrad by September as Army Group South is now given the go ahead to push into the Caucasus. The Russians retreat across the Volga and into the vast expanses of the Urals with establishment of the new Siberian Socialist Republic. With the collpase of the USSR, Spain quickly enters the war and takes Gibralter. During the winter of 1942 the Germans solidify their defenses on the West side of the Volga and transfer Panzer units to France for the expected Allied invasion. 1943: Spring sees a US invasion of North Africa, sweeping across Morocco and Algeria to meet UK forces in Libya. Hitler abandons Africa as he beleives that the Allies are building up for a cross Channel invasion. The Allies land in Sicily, Greece and Sardinia, forcing a surrender of the Italian government and liberation of most of Greece. Germany seizes Northern Italy and by winter 1943, an "iron curtain" has fallen across Italy North of Rome. 1944: The expected Allied invasion of France comes in March 1944. From the start it is a disaster as Rommel's Panzers throw the invasion forces back into the Channel. A stalemate ensues in Italy and Greece as Turkey enters the war and threatens the Middle East. The only bright spot is the German withdrawal from much of Yugoslavia and Albania as Tito's forces, supported by Allied air power from Greece and Italy, become a cohesive army. 1945: There is a calm over much of Europe as the US creeps its away across the Pacific and defeats Japan. The threat of the atomic bomb forces drastic moves by the Germans. Their new arsenal of deadly V-3 rockets, tipped with chemical weapons until now unused by either side, are pointed at the UK. The British government calls a ceasefire and requests an armistice with the Germans. 1946-1949: A "Cold War" exists in the world. Many African and Middle Eastern nations declare their independence from their imperial overlords and Germany creates a new world order in Europe, the Reich Europa. In 1948 Germany successfully tests their first atomic bomb. With the influx of manpower and resources from Communist China, the S.S.R maintains defensive lines in the Urals, supports partisans harrying the German garrisons in Russia and secretly prepares for a massive offensive in 1950, constantly under the bombing raids of the Luftwaffe. 1950: The S.S.R. is poised for their attack as the world learns of secret files detailing what has happened to the Jews of Europe. The US, UK and their allies prepare to throw themselves into World War Three to finally destroy the Reich Europa.................. I have started work on this scenario and hope to have it done in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned.
