  1. That is if there is adequate Hull Down providing terrain, otherwise contact may occur when the tank is in the open.
  2. I'm sold. I think I will pick it up as it doesn't sound like I will even need to re-install CMBB to access the mods & scenarios, correct? CMAK is what I am really after, I recently signed up with the CM group "Band Of Brothers" and it sounds like there is a strong calling to have both games. It also sounds like I will be able to load all the mods at once if I wanted, or at least have them all ready in a folder to select from and try out. I'd like to do everything for Battlefront I can also, but it's just to sweet of a deal to pass up, besides I bought CMSF full price...yeah thats it, thats how I will justify this! I am looking at a copy of CM:Anthology and see that it claims to have, "97 new scenarios and operations, hundreds of graphics mods, a full featured mod management tool" I have just recently installed CMMOS but have not familiarized myself with it or installed any mods. My question(s) is, is this special version of CMBB going to install all of these mods for me that I would otherwise have to download and install individually. Secondly, I assume I could back up all my PBEM matches in progress and user made scenarios and continue using them after the re-install. But I don't like to assume! Anyone who has purchased and installed the anthology who can comment, it would be much appreciated.
  4. I've been searching for a bit here in old posts trying to get a sense of where tournaments are hosted and how I can get in on one. Most of the stuff I have come across is long gone, and I'm about to head over to Proving Grounds after I post this to see if anything is upcoming there. If you have any suggestions for a CMBB player who wants to try a tournament please advise. Thanks fellas.
  5. Cuirassier thanks kindly, after re-reading page #138 I see I had misunderstood the difference between on map and off map guns. So, basically if you have enough T.Ref.Points, you could stick your spotters in a very safe location, as long as you didn't need them to draw LOS on any areas of the map without having to move first, very nice.   6. Hello gentlemen, a quick question about target reference points. I have read the manual regarding these little gems, and I am about to deploy as the defender on a scenario in which I have 3 different coloured deployment zones or sectors. My question is, there are several Target Ref. Points in each sector, and they have coloured bases to match the colour of the zone they begin in. If I relocate them to a different coloured sector, will my spotters ( which I intend to keep stationary to benefit from pre-determined bombardment co-ordinates ) suffer any penalties using a Ref. Point that is not in it's designated colour sector? I'm guessing no, and this may very well be a long winded silly question but if you know of any ill effects I should expect, please feel free to share! Thanks,

  10. I have a shocked half-tracks in a pbem game currently that could cause a serious traffic jam on a bridge. It has stopped moving, will it start moving again next turn or should I reverse the units jammed up behind it and go around? I am aware of the following limitation for shocked Half Tracks -can't fire machine guns -embarking infantry don't always embark What else am I missing? Sorry I don't a game manual to refer to. Thanks

  12. Does this mean that when an IED's spotter has been killed the IED is rendered useless? Also, the spotter while alive must have LOS to the IED correct? Finally, if you target the ground anywhere near the IED does that detonate the IED? Thought I read that somewhere. Cheers
  13. Ahhhhhh, I get it. I just recently used "Aquire" for the first time, havn't had enough time to explore this game....a pleasant surprise around every corner with the advent of 1.03!
  14. My AT unit targets a BMP, but before it can get a shot off the BMP moves out of LOS. However, the red "target line" remains attached to the now out of sight BMP and tracks it as it moves around. Seems kind of unfair and unrealistic to know where the Enemy is despite not having LOS. Am I missing somthing?

  17. Hi guys, With the release of 1.03 patch I thought we could all start a video performance "database" for users & Battlefront staff to reference. REQUIREMENTS Please use battle "Tactical Vignette 99-2 The Passage At Willcox" As the benchmark, do not move the mouse or camera position from the default view when the mission loads. Choose 1 player Realtime and play as BLUE force. With FRAPS running, please note your FPS at this opening camera view while running the game at the following settings. Sound = On 1024 x 768 Vertical Synch = Off 3D Models = Balanced Textures = Balanced Antialaias/Multisample = Off High Priority Process = Off *For multi CPU users have BOTH CPU's going* *For Multi-Display/Monitor users have secondary monitor DISABLED* Along with your FPS under these conditions please post your System Specs. in the order I have listed mine at the end of this post. *Include video Driver versions* This may or may not prove useful, but I'd really like to see who is getting what with certain hardware. Also, if anyone can think of other IMPORTANT info to be included, let me know and we can edit this post.   19. You may have miss-read the briefing, it actually stresses NOT to allow collateral damage to hinder the mission...in other words civilians expendable. At least thats how I intended it to read?

  22. I assume you guys are using the print screen button, ATL + TAB'ing out to Desktop and pasting the captured frame to a program such as paint? This is the process I have always used to capture shots in other games, but for some reason there is no paste option, as though I hadn't captured the frame to paste when I enter Paint.... any ideas? Thanks guys, I want to include screen shots of my scenarios when I post / create them Gus

  24. Hey guys, just installed 1.03 and go to launch a quick battle, but it goes back to menu. I enter the QB setup screen, choose the games parameters then click "OK", but it dumps me back to the main menu. What am I missing? Thanks
