  1. Without reading about it online, could I draw on your knowledge for an explanation regarding the wire you see after the missle leaves the launch tube? Not clear on the guidance system for this thing, it doesn't spool out cable behind that thing does it? The Javelin doesn't have the same wire does it? Thanks, interesting.
  2. I'd really like the camera position to remain intact as I switch back and forth from 2D editing screen and 3D preview... As it stands, I have to reposition the camera every time I go back and forth to get a good look at the adjustments made while making a map.
  3. I understand your point, I recently made my first scenario but made the map a little too small. I'm used to CMBB and the range and accuracy of the weapons in CMSF shrink the battlefield pretty fast!
  4. Well here is one angle showing the hilltop compound from the Blue deployment zone. http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd11/generalgdog/?action=view&current=snake2.jpg
  5. Well, Routers are usually a pain but if you can't avoid one you can't avoid one... I'm going to guess it will prevent you from seeing hosted games, but the only way to find out is to join the network and try.
  6. How do you upload photos to posts on the forums? Also having trouble getting the image to show up in the scenario screen.... Help?
  7. *EDIT* The above posting mess is what results when I try to do anything early in the morning before the coffee is ready.

  9. Drop me an email at gdogcmsf@gmail.com I'd be up for a battle almost any evening EST or weekends.
  10. I can't get my custom text to load on mission start up, i've added it to the template and uploaded it back into the scenario file, but it doesn't show up. Advice?
  11. I've encountered this issue as well. Not sure there is a solution yet. The more targets you assign the less ammo is spent on each one as the support units cycle through targets. Not that this solves the problem. Can't wait for a delay feature which I'm sure they will introduce.
  12. Hi guys, working on my first scenario and I'm having trouble getting the mission description text to load and show at the mission start screen. Friendly / Enemy / territory etc..... I saved the template and added my own text then resaved it and imported it into the scenario editor but it doesn't show up when I load the mission. Advice? Thanks
  13. So far my Hamachi experience has been good with every game I've played on it. Join my network and try it for yourself!
  14. This may be your system, saving & loading takes me no time at all.
  15. Curious as to what your "modest old system" is exactly?
  16. Woops! Forgot to mention that Steve, thankfully Molloy is here.
  17. I have created a Hamachi network for CMSF. network name: gdogcmsf password: cmsf Be interested to see if this network fills up.
  18. In turn 3-4 of a Packaged Scenario, all my units and my opponenets have decided they have had enough. None of the orders issued are being executed and everything is just sitting still. During this lull in the battle (see: game over) I did notice that the clouds cast roaming shadows on the ground below. My now useless units look ever so beautiful as they sit and stare up at those clouds. Anyone else get this?
  19. Ohhhhhhhhhhhh nice! I still have not played CMSF enough to have noticed this simple change, thanks. It makes sense and basically gives me exactly what I want.
  20. I think it would be nice to keep this in CMSF, but only as information for the player. Leave the unrealistic instant sharing of spotting information between units out, I agree that is unrealistic. But make life easier for us the commanders. I am able to establish all enemy units spotted at any one time anyways, difference is now I have to click on each unit individually and remember where the enemy is.
  21. Sorry guys as this is most likely a duplicate post (I DID search though!) but I'm starting to see through all the bugs in CMSF and am REALLY enjoying it now. NExt step is finding online opponents. Where are you all playing? Bring me into the fold! I don't clearly understand what our multi-player options are at this point, I'm used to PBEM. Enlighten me? GDogCMSF@gmail.com I'm located in Ontario, Canada Thanks [ August 03, 2007, 04:43 PM: Message edited by: GDog ]
  22. WOW Reading this thread has been a real treat! Boomslang sounds so American I picture him eating "Little Eagles" cereal in his Star Spangled pajamas, then marching double time around in circles pledging allegiance to his flag unit he is ordered back out onto the streets of Baghdad for his 3rd tour ( which he REQUESTED ) And the only people "wondering" why the USA is the greatest country on earth, are Americans. The rest of us know better and try not to get in your way.... Yeesh
  23. Have I correctly observed that in CMSF, when one unit has LOS to an enemy effectively "spotting" him this no longer grants that information to other friendly units? What I mean is, when I click on unit A, I can see the enemy icons of the units he can see only. If I then click on unit B on the other side of the map, I then only see the units he has LOS to...is this correct? I notice this because I'm pretty sure in CM1, once a enemy was spotted by ANY friendly unit, it allowed the commander ( ME ) to know about the enemy's location regardless of who I have selected...am I recalling this correctly? Thanks
