  1. I already had all of them except 'Kieme's Highway 2' & 'Junction 2'.....I can vouch that all of them will run in 3d Preview (at maximum settings) on my fairly powerful rig.

Not sure I'd vouch for them running so well with a regiment's worth of LOS to calculate though.....That's what it would take to fill some of them, eh @sburke;)

PS - Here's an odd thing that might be of interest to those that deal with big maps on a regular basis, purely based on my own experiences.  If I open a humongous map and click straight on 3d Preview, the chances of a crash/failure to load/whatever seems maybe 30-50% higher than if I open the 2d Map Editor and scale the map so that I can see all or most of it on screen as tiles, before I view it in 3d Preview.  I have no idea if this is a real thing, or just my imagination, but it seems to work for me, so that's what I do.

In August of 1944, the Soviets captured a shiny new German tank, the Tiger II (depending on who you ask). Obviously, the Soviet were curious about the tank’s thick armour, and it was tested extensively (courtesy of litl-bro). The Soviet findings are largely the same: “The front plates of the hull and turret, as demonstrated in the trials, are low quality. When the armour was not penetrated (dented), the armour formed large cracks, and large fragments broke off the rear side.” Don’t worry about the “front” qualifier, the side armour is discussed in a later section of the report. “Due to a decrease in the armour quality, and due to relatively weak side armour, the tank is vulnerable to domestic 85, 100, 122, and 152 mm guns, as well as the American 76.2 mm gun”. The gunnery report is also quite critical of the armour: “The quality of the armour of the Tiger B dropped radically compared to the quality of armour of the Tiger H, Panther, and Ferdinand”. Translations of parts of these reports are available here, here, here, here, and here.

German armour appears to have gone downhill a lot earlier than is widely believed (ie: German armour plate was deemed unacceptable to the Soviets when they were cooperating pre-1941).  :o

Apologies for the format of the quote, couldn't figure out how to do it any other way.....Don't take it as gospel, but it looks very well referenced as I said & the author is pretty knowledgeable.

Remember that Russia invading the Ukraine is defensive in nature. It must be true, Vlad said it.

From their perspective it was.....Sevastapol is massively important to Russia.

But I suspect you know that full well and that you are being disingenuous.

If China sponsored a Hawaiian revolution threatening Pearl Harbour, how do you think the US would respond?

PS - Once again, I felt that I should point this out:

Saying the Crimea is not historically Russian or that Sevastapol does not reperesent a vital strategic interest for Russia is lunacy, plain & simple.

The (I)SU-152 only carries a few AP rounds. It is possible that they were depleted or that HE was used for other reasons.

Penetration of the HE round is just less than the Tiger's side.

I was talking about HE rounds in my own comments.....I'd really have to dig to source the anecdotes, but they're real enough.

I believe the images of destroyed Panthers feature the products of the full spectrum of ISU-152 fire.

The point is that they were not under direct fire. The truck was behind a house and  in cover. The T-34 was a possible contact that showed up during the turn and started firing on an empty house which the truck was behind. Instead, the driver drove out into the open and got all of his passengers blown up with him.

So what you are saying, in essence, is that you are somehow surprised that a man, sat in an unarmoured truck full of fuel, ammo & men, is concerned about being parked next to a house that is receiving medium caliber high explosive rounds and continuous MG fire?

Blimey, the CM learning curve is gonna be very steep.....You might need some safety gear!  ;)

    Please read the original explanation.

    I did.

Please do not be rude to people who are trying to explain how CM works.....You are not playing Command & Conquer.

Had the same issues with ISU152 hit the side of King Tiger with zero result (it killed ISU 2 sec later).

If it was a direct hit, that probably should not have happened.....It's more or less the same as taking a direct hit from a destroyer!

If the shell impacted on the armour the Tiger the crew should be going benny-mental.....There are descriptions from crews of their tanks 'ringing like a bell' and of being able to see daylight through the weld-seams after ISU rounds exploded on their armour.

Needless to say, the tanks broke and the crew didn't stay in them to find out exactly how long it would take for the welds to crack completely and for the turret roof to fall on their heads!

Here's some of their handiwork on Panthers:

or long barelled, with similar gun as JS2

It helps to use the right names.

SU-122 (T-34 chassis, very short gun):

The SU-122 was an assault gun akin to the StuH.42, not a tank hunter.....The tank hunters of the T-34 family were the SU-85 and later the SU-100 (& SU-85M).

ISU-122 (IS-2 Chassis, long gun with no muzzle brake, same mantlet as ISU-152):

That doesn't sound terribly 'defensive'.

It's amusing to me that the two countries most enthusiastic to fuel a war that would devaste the European economy for decades aren't actually EU members, but apparently the EU (other than Germany) hasn't noticed this yet.

Be (very) careful what you wish for.

For reference, the move order it was given here was a short "slow" move a few meters in front of it (not salty, I swear).

Did you place waypoints on the bridge itself?

That often seems to trigger 'bridge-bug' for me, so I now place a waypoint at either end, but nothing on the bridge itself.....I should add that I am generally dealing with rather smaller bridges, but my suspicion would be that the underlying mechanics remain the same.
