  1. Nope. Thought you managed to cross-post, done that myself before I only downloaded the demo for TOW and decided TOW wasnt for me, so havent played it anymore, but sounds weird that there is no support?

  4. I think the AI self-preserving function kicks in and overides smoke firing. so they want to fire AP instead of Smoke. in the AI world AP works betther against tanks then Smoke.

  7. yeah its a good idea. If you know you wont have time to get the entire squads out of harms way. When you split up units they have own suppression and morale levels. so if the whole squad get pinned and break, the whole 11 man team runs off. If the squad is split in 3 sections maybe only 1/3 runs off (depending on casualty's taken et c) while you still have 2/3 that can move off again directly after the barrage and get into good cover or positions again. That's why some people don't use assault command and instead split the teams up and work with them independent. As long as the PLT HQ is close by the C2 link shouldn't be affected.

  9. Could have gone better! Had some bad luck with the IG I never spotted, but spotted me and a MG42 HMG in a orchard that I didn't discover until i entered the field... But, it was a damn nice mission! went flanking on both sides as it offered best terrain and on the left side it was a lot of firing and moving and flanking along the orchard, really nice! right side was the usual struggling for fire superiority, moving forward to next orchard, pick up the firefight and continue. The next scenario looks real hard thoe...
  10. That is what triangulation gives you. If you have 2 listning posts lets say 5km apart and a mortar is firing, both will have 2 different headings, if you cross these two headings with the OPs current position you get a point in the triangle (with the OPs being the base) where the enemy firing came from. Crudely atleast. I know it became standard for most british forces to report in every mortar stonk they could hear and give headings to it. soon enough the FO figured out a position for the enemy battery and put down CB fire on them.
  11. Is there any difference in the level of opposition in the different plans? or same units but moved around? so I just didnt have the pure luck of getting the weaker forces plan?
  12. Thank you very much! I would have lesser casualty's if I hadn't screw up the smoke mission when crossing the Creek... but that's life, happened in real life to! (I never reload a scenario in a campaign.   13. I loved the Scenario! my god you had me on my toes 95% of the time! But this is how I faired, OK result? (WEGO, IRON mode and no restarting.) Gonna try to write up a AAR on this battle later on

  15. Im loving this campaign! PT, will you release the scenarios as singles later on? some of these scenarios I sure would love to play again as single missions or PBEM! Im starting on "Hell in the Hedgerows" and the name of the scenario don't sounds to promising

Just tested around in the editor a bit. with the 88mm Flak you can start having it mounted on a opel blitz and dismount it, but you cant remount it. the 88 anti tank guns can't mount a truck at all (to heavy for opel blitz I guess, but couldnt find any Sdkfz 7?) but you can move the pieces around by hand using the deploy button and move command.
  17. Its already in. you can tow your AT gun around as much as you please. However the larger ones that donĀ“t have wheels like the employed 88mm I asume cant be towed (never tryed). But it takes a while, a US 57mm AT gun takes 4 minutes to pack up and then another minute to hook up to the yeep.

  19. Well Okay, we got Xo teams and HQ support units that doesn't do much except a stand-in if the Co dies. Normally I use them as medics after the infantry platoons moving forward. I know BFC don't want to move to deep into "buddy-aid" and the medical evacuation line, but I was thinking (and wishing...) How about medic/stretcher bearer teams? Just like Xo teams exept they run around with medic equipment, red crosses on the helmet and a stretcher in their hand? they perform buddy aid as everyone else but are designated to do so. The buddy-aid system would work as usual, when the casualty are taken care of he disaperes and the medic team can move on. Pretty please?

I found a bug Peregrine: Yeah the AI does some screwed up things in WEGO. but I still prefer WEGO then RT because i prefer larger scenarios and want to be able to replay cool movements from different angles By now I'm quite good getting the AI to do what I want even in heavy built up CMSF scenarios, so the small hamlets of CMBN should be ok to (hopefully!)

Peregrine: Thanks for the advices, I play WEGO and been playing CMSF since 1.0 so I know my way around :cool: thats why I react now, because the movements I saw the infantry do was what I saw the infantry in CMSF do pre-1.07 patch mostly, found it odd to see it again. I will keep an eye out for more, If I find anything I will save the turn etc so I have more meat on my legs.
  22. Yepp! fromt the 3 small 1 story buildings YELLOW to the 2 story building RED. Instead of running from yellow to red they ran around it coming in from the pictures side.
  23. Yepp can show you if you could be so kind to send me mission 3's map. I have deleted my earlier saves as Im begining No 5 now (excellent campaign btw) so can't just fire up a earlier savegame unfortunately.
