  1. Andrew, Thank you. I will send a screenie if I can figure out how to do it. Again thanks, I don't think you'll be disappointed. David
  2. Andrew, I have made a mod for Hermann Goering/Luftwaffe crews, but I need your OK to post. Please see details at CMMODS Forum. DavidI
  3. Guys, Go to "Belle & Blade" the best war and adventure store in the US. Call them at 1 800 365 2104, or visit their web site at www.warshows.com. Days of Glory's order number is WX63 and goes for $39.98. Ask them for their catalog, then go out and get a hammer so that you can break your piggy-bank. DavidI
  4. Patboy, Give'm hell Pat! I bug him every other month, so you can see how effective I've been. DavidI
  5. Dandilion, Thanks for the help. Thought I'd do a small scenario with them. David
  6. Can anyone give me a history on the Italian Nembo Parachute Division? What I gathered was that it was stationed in Sardinia during the Sicilian Campaign, then transfered to Italy prior the the Italian Campaign. How much of the Division remained loyal to the Fascist cause after Italian surrender of Sept. 1943? What battles did they fight in? OOB? TOE? Etc. DavidI
  7. JonS, Then who did drop at the Ardennes? It sounds more like a Battalion (+) sized drop that, as usual with night drops, went badly awry. Were they volunteers culled from many FJ formations, or were they based around a Battalion from one Division? DavidI
  8. The Photos that I have seen of the 12SS at Normandy seem to indicate that they were well supplied with the 44 dot pattern 4 pocket tunic and pants. Most of the ones I see for the 1SS seem to show a blend of smocks & dot. In CM terms stick to either one. Don't worry too much about Italian Camo, the few pictures I've seen of Germans wearing it look like a field expediant and unlikely to have been issued. As with most of these issues go for the great perponderance of the evidence not the exceptional photograph. I've seen a picture of a German Officer sporting a mustache and a gotee, but I would think that it would be a silly conclusion to think that was authorized or that there was a battalion out there that looked like background figures in a Van Dyke painting. DavidI
  9. Alech, As a general rule Fallschirmjager Units were generously supplied with mortars of the 81mm and 120mm variety. A Battalion in 43/44 would have 6 or 8 81mm and 4 120mm. At Division level a Mortar Battalion was attached with 24 to 36 120mm mortars for support of the line battalions. Additionally they were generously with Panzer Schrecks and Panzer Fausts. David I
  10. Andrew, Thanks. I change panzer caps on a scenario by scenario bases for the same reason. Call me anal but it's true. They truely need to fix that in CMX2, ditto with left & right arms with the same BMPs, ditto with shared BMPs between periods, ditto with Luftwaffe Infantry and Mechanized troops sharing BMPs, etc. I wonder if there will be a way to change heads, if you will, so that you can change headgear styles on units (why not M-43 Caps on WSS late war panzer crews or Late War Company commanders, or Platoon commanders, etc.). David
  11. Junk2drive, Andrew made a black Luftwaffe panzer wrap for for CMAK with white piped collar patches for the HG Division (nice touch Andrew). It has a Khaki shirt. Maybe you can convence him to make one for CMBB with a grey shirt and optional cuff title? Other wise there's just the one that came with the CMBB. David
  12. Boerix - Could you possibly moddify your excellent Hermann Goering Panzer Grenadiers so that they have reversable Waffen SS plane tree pattern (both spring and fall) smocks? I think your excellent white collar tabs would look bitchin with those patterns and would make a very cool late war uniform with field blau pants (a more contenintal look if you will). Thanks. DavidI

  14. Andrew, I know I've asked this before, but.... How about a Waffen SS M-43 Cap? My SS Mountain troops look lame with that Wehrmatch cap. The last time I asked you said that you didn't like the way your first effort turned out, however now with your ever increasing skills in modding I'm sure you could come out with a good one. I would suggest the version with the Skull on the front peak and the small eagle on the left side of the cap. I know you can do it and the Army cap on SS troops looks like Marine Corps camo on US Infantry at Normandy - Just not right! Please.... DavidI
  15. I have contracted a rare brain disease that makes me forget the difference between halftracks. Before I forget who I am I would love to see your PSW 251/9 mod. That one should get him. David
  16. I have contracted a rare heart disease that threatens to kill me in a few months. I would hate to check out without seeing your PSW 250/9 mod. Boy I really hope he bought that story. David
  17. Andrew, Just got back from a two week holiday, and what do I find, 2 bitch'in LW mods! You are a awesome! DavidI "Air Force Tank Divisions are the wave of the future. Thank Goodness we Germans thought of it first!" Hermann Goering
  18. Dear Modders, Hey, Where's that SPW 251/9 Stummel Mod you promised, Uh? DavidI
  19. Sergi, The Soviets didn't want our bomber pilots to land in Soviet territory! How much less would Stalin want a Corps or more of Capitalistic, Canuks on his soil?! DavidI
  20. Did you notice that Ascot asked the question, that Junk answered the question, and that the rest of you just gassed on? Note that Ascot got his answer and stopped. David I
  21. The Hermann Goering Pz Div was outfitted with Panthers for their 1st Pz Battalion some time in Nov - Dec 1943. In late 43 - early 44 the 26th Panzer was out fitted with Panthers for their 1st Pz Bat. Their were two independent Panther Battalions rushed in as a reaction to the Anzio landings but I think they later got absorbed into other non-Italian front Pz. Div's. The other Pz Div's were withdrawn from the front before upgrading to Panthers. None of the Pz Gren. Div's (including the 16th RF SS) were equiped with Panthers. 22. Mike, You and the other modders out there have been so bitch'in! Thank you for taking your time to respond. This is an incredible game & an awesome forum! Thanks, David I
  23. Modder's (or anyone), Could someone give me the BMP's for the Italian Campaign's German 251 series (or even just the 251/9)? With those numbers (if they are the same as CMBB) I can winterize them myself. David PS. I'm still waiting for that updated 251/9.
  24. Andrew, They are going to be beautifull. Are you going to winterize them as well?? Hope, hope, hint, hint. DavidI
