I never bothered as I had my eyes on Nvidia card after I realized there is no fog with ATI LT

  4. Something to cheer you up! This accident happened to my opponents Maxim crew. I guess they must have had little too much of peasoup. Russian friendly fire Great summer and CM battles to all of you. LT
  5. This battle is great! It is a morale rollercoaster...you get beat down and then punch back, meter by meter I am quite certain the result will be open to the very last nail biting turns. Highly recommend this scenario if you like lots of action, packed in 3 phases during the fight. Also great to playt with units not always very common in this kinda situation. Good stuff! LT
  6. DEY Left you an AAR to TPG Guys give this one a go. Great fight with twists and turns and clusterbombs...whew Managed to get Tac victory. Cheers LT
  7. Well Haven´t played for a long time. Picked it up again. Great fun and the Magua modpack just made my day on modding the terrain. Bunch of old stuff was still on cmmos too. But had to spend quite some time to mod it back to the playing level not having to curse the old school graphs. CMBO: Raw and fun+it´s the one after all LT
  8. Halfway through this bloody hell...bodycount is rocketing up every turn Cheers LT
  9. Scipio: IIRC there was an essay about this in some gaming site quite some time ago, and it said the positions of sun, moon and weather changes all occur also will effect LOS etc. Even the stars look as they would  . that was on very early stages so I have no clue if they have decided to keep these effect changes or not  Hope they do! LT
  10. Gurra Amazing job. These mods are something I needed badly!!! Thanks! Also thanks to Zimorodok for hosting and all the other modders too!Great stuff LT
  11. Thanks David I Great work. I am fine with you including some of my scenarios to this pack. Even if it takes down some DLings from TSD...hmmm... LOL geat stuff! Greetings from happy CMETO user! LT
  12. If you are running Windows then you should have paint. If not some other drawing/picure editor program can be used. If you still don´t have anything in this matter download this Irfanview or this UOSU Hope those help. Cheers LT
  13. Downloaded-> Installed-> loving it! Thanks you for this mod! Great stuff LT
  14. As a designer I don´t wanna give any false info for my scenario as I want the player to enjoy the fight as much as possible.Who would wanna play scenarios that constantly give info on some things and lead the player to ambushes over and over again. I might leave questionmarks to briefings as the intel would never be 100% accurate, but still point out some hints for the player to make the fight tough...tough but fair Jason C Word on the fact that scenarios shouldn´t be designed to be played one way only. I try to make them interesting with many approaches and many tactics that are possible to use. Making them close to historical though makes some limits to oobs and so on. As I like scenarios that have a small plot or atleast a reason to fight the battle out. I like historical/semi-historical fights or fictional fights with a plot, instead of catch the flag QBs without briefings...but as this game provides us all with tons of varieties I cannot expect everyone to like my stuff. That´s why I design scenarios the way I like to play the game. As this is a matter of taste it is no use to argue over I wish you all great moments assaulting across the eastern front from Barbarossa to Berlin Cheers -LT
  15. Yskonyn I designed the scenario you are attacking as Germans in KOtH round 2. If you mean this scenario, IIRC in the Axis briefing there is an order in capital letters about moving FAST to the objective. The briefing also states that there is only a very low risk for strong resistance before the objective and a low risk of AT assets in the objective itself. This scenario was tested before the tourney and those PTs revealed for me the thing that I should be more informative about moving fast to the objective. I don´t know any other way than using capital letters in move fast, AFAIK there is not a way to bold the txt in briefings. Looking forward to your review after you finish the scenario. Best of luck to you and make those remaining turns count! -LT
  16. I have been thinking about the greatest thing happened to me in CM front for awhile but this picture above cleared my mind from all the long stories of fun battles...This happened last fall: I was playing DEY the Daffy´s great scenario DEY The king has arrived. Exellent fight against great opponent. Result isn´t the thing but that one glorious moment (I watched the replay about 100times  ) my heroic soviet tankhunter team knocked out a King Tiger WITH A MOLOTOV! The KT was struglling in muddy conditions in scattered trees as it was close enough my tankhunter boys jumped up from the foxhole and threw the Molotov right on top of the rear deck and knocked it out...the hunters were soon cut down by MG fire and shells from other KTs approaching, but their names are carved in my board of heroes! Cheers -LT
  17.   something you don´t see everyday in the battlefield
  18. Finished all other games except Moltke Bridge. I think you guys have been informed about this awhile ago. Also got return mails from all the scores sent in. I am slow on the aar process though only one sent in : I will get them done eventually. Have started all of them but haven´t finished. LT
  19. If you have read Berlin the Downfall (Berlin 1945) by Anthony Beevor you might find this movie very much historical. I personally liked it and its look on things with the war as a horrifying backdrop of an end of an era. Few battlescenes but still very very intense movie. -LT
  20. WOW Great news Warm thoughts and wishes for fast and successful recovery for your wife! Best wishes! -LT
  21. XP firewall bugs out the distributed firewall and pings it again and again making the connection slower (atleast that happened to me and my 2mb cable connection). If the Norton firewall works fine definetly turn off the Windows firewall. Solved many of my problems and I have not had or got a single virus so far. But as I am no xpert abot the norton program you might wanna check things out before paying too much attention to what I am saying -LT EDIT to Add. Dowloaded fromcmmods. didn´t find anything corrupted from those files atleast [ March 21, 2005, 03:54 PM: Message edited by: Larry Thorne ]
  22. Yahoo did play some tricks with me earlier...that´s the reason I use it only for CM contacts not pbemming. Sometimes when the file was long, say 1mb it truncated the message and sometimes those were "corrupted" so they wouldn´t play right. Hope you get them to work. I guess you both have the same patch version too? As it usually shows the opponent has a different version, message? -LT
  23. Ukraine link Very good map link, click on it (3times) and you´ll get more detailed version up. Hope this helps with your designing. Cheers -LT
  24. Some links Jelnaja battle Smolensk region gsm cover map but shows the little villages Ukraine map server Here just few. I might be able to dig something else when I get home from work. I can also warmly recommend TPG And the research area and scenario design tips section under FAQ/Tools -LT [ March 21, 2005, 07:51 AM: Message edited by: Larry Thorne ]
