  1. BigMik1, actually this is a lite version IMO. Compared to Biltong's(sp) campaign. Not only that but the spreadsheet makes things rather simply. Again IMO.
  2. Curious, I noticed that they are high res. How would I make them low res with Photoshop? they are 256 x 256 res. can this be reduced anymore with out causing problems?
  3. When is the best time to update the Excel sheet if you have already started a battle? Would I have to start my campaign over again? Thanks.
  4. Will using these cause low end machine users any grief? Great job by the way.
  5. Trying my first battle right now, other issues in life have delayed my trial of your great creation. I really enjoy the number crunching / die rolling the spreadsheet does automatically. Real time saver. I will fill you in later if I can. Thanks again.
  6. Limey made some for only North Africa. Yours from CMBB work for Italy. I low res'd Limey's for myself and they work great.
  7. Good job Brent Pollock. Exactly how I pictured the board game would look like in CM. 25 years ago I wished for a game like CM to take care of all the paperwork / dice rolls. Wishes do come true eventually.
  8. Great game AH Tobruk. Did you know that this company: http://www.criticalhit.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_30&products_id=33 Expanded / rehashed the rule set and added extra counters. I haven't purchased this yet, plan to though. FOR CMAK I recommend downloading these scenario's from The Scenario Depot: http://ns9.super-hosts.com/%7Edragonlair.net/combatmission/ WBRP TAHGC TOBRUK #1 to #8. These are the scenario's in the AH TOBRUK game. IF you don't want to make the maps for the "Firefight" battles, use the ones designed by this person for them. The maps are scaled and labeled just like the board maps of TOBRUK. Love Steel Panthers WaW. I have the Mega Campaigns - Desert Fox 1941, fun stuff. I find most of my Wargame time used up with CMAK and CMBB though lately. [ February 16, 2004, 10:34 PM: Message edited by: Blazing 88's ]
  9. Can someone tell me how to lower the res using photoshop (what % reduction). I know how to use photoshop, I just don't want to screw up anything. Thanks in advance.
  10. Yes there are low-res, by Captain Wacky under CMBB downloads. These only work in Italy though not North Africa. I am not sure if Limey's North Africa's are low - res or not?
  11. Here is his updated CMBB campaign. http://www.roqc.cdgroup.org/Beta_version.htm That link you have there is an older version I do believe. Yes, I can't wait for the CMAK version as well.
  12. At CMMODS under CMAK/designer/Limey/all/terrain: Then download "North Africa Grid part 1A to 2B" for a total of four downloads. Works great for me. Thanks Limey
  13. Try Panzer Campaigns Tobruk 1941(not free). Sgt. Bilko posted this a few weeks ago: Here are some thoughts about using the John Tillers Panzer Campaigns (JTPC) series as a strategic layer for Combat Mission (CM). JTPC contains a scenario editor that allows you to create any battles related to the particular theatre it represents,so with this tool the JTPC game can always be updated to reflect the results of any CM battles that are fought using it. There are a few ways CM could be integrated into JTPC but the simplest way is: Have a Games Master who owns JTPC ( Tobruk 41 ) for example. At least two opposing players. The GM chooses a scenario to play then sends to each player a screenshot of the map, briefing, unit locations, victory objectives,OOB and any parameter data files pertaining to JTPC. The players come up with orders which they represent diagramatically on the map screenshot and any other information the players think necassary to communicate their intentions. This is then sent to the GM who inputs the data into a hot seat game in JTPC. Once the moves have been done the GM sends a screenshot of the map with the new positions on. If a contact is made a CM battle may take place with the GM building the map. Once the battle has been resolved the losses sustained by the forces must be transferred back into the JTPC game. This is done in the scenario editor by making a replica of the map with the new positions ,updated time, and modified fought units added. The game then proceeds using the updated JTPC game until the next contact...etc. Having a GM will allow all sorts of additional rules for communication FOW, team play, intel gathering ....etc. Tillers games cover other theatres that could be used with CMBB and CMBO. Here is a link to John Tillers Games site for an overview of Tobruk 41 http://www.hpssims.com/Pages/products/PZC/PZC_tobruk/panzer_campaigns_tobruk_41.htm [ January 24, 2004, 06:56 PM: Message edited by: Blazing 88's ]
  14. Good stuff, I'll give it a try. Any chance you will create something in Africa, Italy for the German / British / American etc. sides? Preferably the Germans.
  15. Opps ignore the Panzer Leader one... That would be more for Russia and France... silly me.
  16. Tobruk - by: Michael Carver (Covers all the battles from 41 to after the capture of Tobruk, from both Allied and German perspectives) Great read. Seems to be out of print, libraries usually have it. Panzer Battles - By: F.W. Von Mellinthin Panzer Commander - Memoirs of Colonel Hans von Luck Brazen Chariots - By: Robert Crisp Panzer Leader - by: Heinz Guderain to name a few.
