  1. Other Means, I second the wow from Tarkus. Tarkus, I installed the mod. As much as I don't like the camera arrows, I like the rest enough to use it. Big thanks. I used McMMM and installed it to my Vietnam version. My VN flag, ui, map, start bar, Axis portrait mods worked fine. Of course my gunrack mods are on wood. I'll have to work on that. There is a "ready" in green that shows with broken and routed, maybe some other less than normal condition.
  2. "If Napoleon shows up at Waterloo riding in a Mercedes staff car" A CV2 would be ok, right?
  3. Should CMx2 be called CM at all? CC1-CC5 same then CC FTF is FPS? C&C stayed the same, went FPS, then back again. Steel Panthers stayed basically the same. If someone came out with a first person tank sim, would it be SP? If BFC is going a different direction with the CM series, it should have a different name. That might reduce the silly posts.
  4. "There are other titles that allow players to choose between real time and turn-based play modes. " And a couple of them sucked.
  5. "Break into squads." I'm sick of the split squads threads. I'm sick of the whole CMx2 thing. I'm not playing lobsters and crabs. I'm not buying a new computer. I am playing SPMBT. Nostalgic.
  6. I'm old. It may have been an add on for the Axis & Allies boardgame. Whatever it was, it did add to the game. You had to watch your advance and leave a reserve to cover the trail.
  7. I seem to recall some hex game that you had to keep a line of supply open to the rear. Rail lines allowed quicker supply or resupply.
  8. Disable your anti virus first. That is the #1 problem. Wait for the icons to appear in the window. After d click, it may take a few to start. Could be the DVD drive doesn't like the format.
  9. Indochina 1945-1975 Napalm, Helicopters, Jet aircraft. And not just shadows on the ground.
  10. Urchin, to the right of your name is some little pictures. The one that looks like a letter is your email address. The pencil is to edit your posts.
  11. A What If at AHF, Germany had Mitsubishi Zeros in 1940?
  12. The confusing part about adjust is how to do it. You use the target command and as the line goes out to the original target point, the colour changes.
  13. Would there have been a period of bad weather to take the air war out of the situation? Would a landing during B o B succeded if the air war was away from the landing?
  14. I did the reverse making a BB UI for AK. There was one bmp I had to add the word "orders" to for AK. The big problem is the gunrack. Most of the Axis small arms bmps are the same, but the Soviet ones will have to be made. My Korea and Vietnam mods for AK have Soviet small arms numbered for Axis. You could renumber them for Allied. Use the readme from Juju's mods for bmp numbers.
  15. "If you want to know what can be seen from that hilltop on the enemy's side of the map, just go park the camera there and pan it around. " When I do that, I still can't see how that ATG just ko'd my tank through the trees. And the human view is always the same, but some units have better optics than others.
  16. Sorry PHD, 1.01 patch is 14mb. I tried zipping it but it wouldn't compress. Too big for my email.
  17. I finally found my SE 2nd disc. No sound mods. I must have found it somewhere else. EDIT At cmmods by Captain Wacky
  18. "Many historical battles wouldn't be "enjoyable" to play." I tend to like "what if"s for that reason.
  19. CM should be the perfect game for table top players. They already play in 3D. For the person without the space, off to school, a spouse that objects to the dining table being used, etc., CM has to be a blessing.
  20. "Yes , maybe you as "ASL" player or Veteran "CM" player look the rules normal and easy. But it is no easy for green players." I tried the BO demo years ago and couldn't figure it out. It wasn't until summer 2003 that I saw news of CMAK that I tried the BO demo again. Something clicked. I liked it. A tough decision for BFC to lean toward a broader market or groggy players.
