Not gonna happen in WaW as well.Originally posted by John DiFool the 2nd:Hubert? Blashy?
And I agree with this decision. It is simply to keep the appeal of subs for raiding. It is their specialty.

I think if Jollyguy comes back and commits hard the way he had, he could possibly beat Terif.
I actually think he could be equal. If he commit the way he had for a while. In just a couple of months he went from a player Terif would just play for kicks to a player Terif had his biggest matches and Jollyguy seriously had him on the ropes in one game.
Even Terif has attested to Jollyguy's skills.

Finland and Norway link will not make Norway give more MPPs.
You need a rail going to a city if you want it to produce more than 5mpps.
The rails went through Sweden in WW2, don't know about today.

It better not be the Rocket strategy... it has a big weak spot.

Now wait until the expansion pack is out... WOW.Originally posted by Hellmut:Thankyou everybody.
I have downloaded, installed and lost another portion of my life.
This game is soooooo.......addictive.
First time i played i gave the Ai 50% +1exp and found my Axis forces crumbling away after 1942.
I Love this game, enough said.

Indeed, the AI in this patch is nothing like the one in WaW.
-
And BBs had depth charges, not a ton of them.

The new game Weapons and Warfare answer all of those with a resounding yes. So does SC2 but WaW is amazing.Originally posted by Hellmut:Hi everybody, i have just joined this forum to see if this game is worth buying.
I have always wanted a game where i could take the war from day 1 and do things my way. I bought hearts of iron, but i didn't have the time to dedicate myself to the game. Here are some questions.
1) Will the game give me the open ended game i crave?
2) Does the game feel swift? (hearts of iron way too deep for quick play)
3) Will i need to be on the ball against the ai? (many wargames with poor ai out there)
4) How good is the multiplayer? (stability etc..)
Thanks in advance, hope to hear from you guys (and gals) soon.
1) Yes the gameplay is not set in stone to follow history, do your own thing.
2) The game is swift, I can't stand micro managing games and this one is not one of them.
3) I think this game probably has the best AI so far, I had never lost against the AI until WaW.
4) Multi player is smooth.
And 5) The game has amazing support from the ONE lone developer.

I would say hold on to any changes and keep it for WaW.
You won't believe the tools to work with.
-
Yes this patch is compatible with the patch prior to this one.
-
I intend to play this mod when I get a chance.
I had a look in the editor, amazing design.
Testing WaW was my priority.
-
Soon to be 3 SCs. WaW is a game in its own right.
1 reich too many.
3 Rambo movies too many.
A whole whack of Presidents too many, certainly the last one.
265 Popes too many.
We'll never get enough of the KING!

LOL! I thought you would know better by now .Originally posted by Stalin's Organist:Gee John....thanks for adding nothing to the discussion.

I was waiting until Hubert said it but yes a BIG way to speed up the AI is turning off AI animations.
That really speeds up the AIs turn into super speed, hehe.
Even without it the AI is much faster than before.

I read that 75% of all logistics equipment used by Russia came from Western Allied convoys.Originally posted by Konigs:Yes, Stalin's organist is right on track. Go here for some intersting information. The numbers are staggering. A couple of interesting facts, all aviation fuel for Soviets supplied by USA as well as 1981 locomotives and over 11,000 rail cars and almost 400,000 trucks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lend_lease

In WW2 many countries did nothing regarding flying in their airspace. From what I read airspace was not something concrete as it is today and no one really had anyway to protect it, except the major allies.
-
That is not an issue.
HQs represent supply lines more than the actual leaders.
So you are able to rebuild your supply lines.
-
Nice work.
Look forward to playing it.

Anti Air improves resources and anti air units.
Anti Tank improves soft units (infantry) and tac bombers vs soft units, tanks and air units (since it is taken that you are bombing those air units).
Naval Warfare helps ships and tac bombers (TBs versus ships).
TBs are lethal against ships if you invest in NW and upgrade. And they play out quite good vs. all units, you could say more so against tanks because when you hit them you just took away its defensive fire and next turn the enemy is stuck to reinforce instead of using its 2 strikes.
Motor for HQs was discussed in the beta of SC2 and it was decided that if they did have this capability it would speed up the game to much and make movement somewhat unrealistic, the same goes for giving them extra range. As is if you push deep with Motor 2 you can`t keep pushing, you eventually have to wait for the supply line to reach you which was always slower than troops.
-
Yes they have the same acronym.
AA is Anti Air and it upgrades Anti Air units CTV.
Adv Air is for fighters only.
-
True but in WaW this has been clearly defined as two different units.
-
Why would anti tank increase the CTV of anti air units???
Anti Air tech increases the CTV of anti air units.
-
AA tech can also upgrade the AA units and they defend against all types of air units. It will defend a unit adjacent to it.

I seem to notice a lack of patience with Allied navy by some players.
The Allies should have no problems wiping out the Axis fleet. BUT they have to wait until at LEAST having LR 2 (I prefer 3) on their carriers. You then have the ultimate advantage of site at sea. You use it to entrap the Axis instead of hit and miss to find them while they wait to pounce.
You will have to accept convoy losses until you have the proper tech if the Axis decided to go heavy in raiding.
