  1. MD Thanks for the all the job offers, Ill just take the texturing job
  2. Thanks It doesnt really matter with a texture mod what version it is, it should work anyway.
  3. Steve Thanks for continuing support for your products, listening to customer feedback when warranted, and acting on it. Thats why I am your customer, and will continue to be one BTW, I already talked with Matt about him coming over to my unit some day and doing a promotional speech. I can help to set it up.
  4. Thanks. Ill see what I can do about the things I can change
  5. Thanks for the kind words That was my first mod and I didnt think to include a Read Me. When I update it to Version 2.0, Ill add one
  6. My unit was just issued the ACH helmets, IBAs and elbow/knee pads! I can now take highres texture photos from my own gear, and should have Version 2.0 out next week
  7. Even if you had anything at all to do with it, Steve would never admit it. You're welcome. PS - did you ever get that beta team slot you so stated that you so richly deserve? *wink* </font>
  8. Yeah, thanks John I own many songs by Lube, and that one is one of my favorites Of course I hope you realise the song is about a Battalion Commander, not "Combat". He is the main character of the "Shrafbat" series
  9. I am the guy who begged and begged for them to bring back the right-click menu, untill they did (in some way). Your welcome
  10. My attack tactics 1. Identify by recon where the Haji are (mainly their AT and MG assets) 2. Position and suppress them while I flank them with assault element and get closer 3. Assault and occupy the enemy position Keep your Javelins a little back, so they can cover your assault elements
  11. CMSF is not really a sequel. It's set in modern era, and uses a brand new engine
  12. That's not me. That is M1A1Tank Commanders mod. </font>
  13. These are not deletions from CM1, since CM2 is a different engine. It's just inferior to CM1
  14. If you use Move, Quick or Run they will not fire back. So you have to use Hunt. In Assault you waste too much ammo every time
  15. Molotov Yes,Bat is short for Battalion. Just like ComBat is short for Commandir Battalyona- Battalion Commander check out this Ukranian Army Ad. Pretty funny, and it has nice babes in it
  16. John Atleast 2-3 Russian mods have been released on CMMODS, one of which was mine. I also released a Russian voice mod, which replaced all Syrian voices with Russian. These videos are cool, but dont really help to mod the game. Post links to some high-res photos that I can use in Photoshop, thats a different story. There is only so much you can do with textures. Id love to have different 3d models, like with a cap, a beret, a new Russian helmet, etc. I dont think BFC plans on releasing any new Red infantry models
  17. John Many films can be found here, some translated, some with subtitled http://www.russiandvd.com/store/dvd.asp?genreid=29&genresubid=100 http://www.russiandvd.com/store/product.asp?sku=47435&genreid=29&genresubid=100 The one movie I mentioned, Osvobozhdenie, is actually 5 movies, covering the Kursk battle, all the way to the final Berlin assault. You can download it here, for example, for just few bucks per movie http://www.memocast.com/mediadetails.aspx?id=88551 Here are some photos from the movie posted in a forum http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15185 http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=102387&highlight=russian+movies [ March 25, 2008, 03:08 PM: Message edited by: M1A1TankCommander ]
  18. I do own a large collection of Russian war movies, including TV series "Shtrafbat" But its pretty new, came out a few years ago. I was talking about watching Soviet black and white war movies made in 1940's and 50's when I was growing up. I recently purchased a lot of them Here is a huge movie series (5 movies) from late 1960-1970 called Osvobozhdenie Osvobozhdenie Here is another good Russian war movie "Oni srazhalis za rodinu" (1975) Both of these are tanker's wet dream. They used real Army battalions to film some scenes [ March 25, 2008, 07:34 AM: Message edited by: M1A1TankCommander ]
  19. I grew up watching similar films from the Soviet side. It was definatly interesting to see it from the enemy's side. The production value is a lot better
