  1. oof, I´m exhausted, nice games again. Jung and stonewall ruled. too bad this gametap thingy isn´t making a big splash. (at least so far)

  5. oh, sorry I didn´t remmebr that it had been you *blush* , I thought it was somebody else and the problem had been solved :/ just an idea for a workaround: start a dedicated server on your own PC (called dont join this server) with no bots (to keep the CPU load down) remember to leave port:9967 open

  7. I´m finally getting round to trying to understand how to make DT scenarios. I´ve managed to make height maps with terragen and sculpted them to make them look more or less want i want them to look like. What I don´t get is how to make even surfaces, i.e roads. Is there a way of doing this without fancy software?. These are my two ideas for a scenario: "Space Invaders" A small map with three large structures in the south (either forts as in ice map ot large flattened hills). These structures would be the objectives. The defender would only have a few heavy units, no dropships, but a reinforcement area in one of the southern corners. The rest of the map would be covered with lots of little hills, giving the attacker some cover, requiring him to dart from hill to hill. the attacker would have a reinforcement zone across the north rim of the map. I´m not sure if I want to limit the attacker in any way, maybe no dropships too. a variant of the CM classic "chance encounter" again a small map, 2 large hills in the north and south with three captureable buildings roughly in the midlle, one side would have a few thors, let´s say 5)plus paladins and cutters, the other side many (15) apollos, no thors , with paladins and cutters. My principle goal is to make maps that require survival skills, because of the limited available vehicles.
  8. Since we are at V1.35, I´d say we are all beta testers of a sort R rune, if you have a mail list of all beta testers, maybe you could invite everbody to a big battle?

  10. On jan 17th. There is nothing not to like about DT multiplayer ...except too few players. if this gametap thingy adds a few hundred players at once DT might finally take off...*knocks on wood*
  11. an unusual ending of the dam: me vs. rua and IG: I won holding all the outer stations. the cool thing was that it was the bots that decided to take the enemy start base on their own
  12. thank yog! I´m in! the earlier the better, but I´ll play regardless! maybe playing the actual tournament today will be difficult today but lets see how many can join.
  13. Nothing new in the west it seems I´m still secretly hoping that this is true. What is ominous though is that nobody seems to be noticing DTs demise so the wii ed. doesn´t seem to be being worked on either...   14. not sure if this was the case in 1.04, but i just checked in 1.05 and you can fire an AT13 from roofs that don´t have a little wall. this supports the diminutive tripod theory.
  15. You can´t use AT13s on buildings. I think this in intentional, because you have to lie down (the launcher is on a low tripod) to fire and the syrian roof edge would be in the way. I learned this in hammertime too [ December 21, 2007, 04:29 AM: Message edited by: __Yossarian0815[jby] ]

  18. Does anybody know anybody who owns the game who could run a server till we get word from Clay? I do, but it would be in europe, and I think (with the tournament in mind) this might be very laggy if 8 or more people from the US play on a EU server.
