  1. Depends on how serious that crash is, I would say. How difficult is it to find what causes the crash? Is it simple to fix or does it require a lot of work? And if it's fixed won't it cause another problem, which causes another crash? A crashing campaign is no small patatoes. I must admit feeling trully sorry for those guys. Must be very frustrating. Personally I would rather have a fixed release date, even the 29th of April, than this. But anyhow, no show this weekend.
  2. Wouldn't be very fair on the masses though.
  3. Precisely. If MJ is right (he usually is, but don't tell him I said that) and it is a matter of commitment to Steam and Slitherine I have been right all along and Fire and Rubble is a sideshow with low priority. CMCW shows what's possible with a good and strict schedule.
  4. Operation Rumyantsev proved that even weak German Panzer divisions, such as the 6th and 19th, but also Wiking, Das Reich and Totenkopf could inflict heavy losses upon the attacking Red Army. And although Charkow had to be abandoned it showed what would have been possible with fresh and strong German divisions, like the ones that were available for the Kursk operation. George Nipe jr. describes the German defense very well in his book "Decision in the Ukraine". Usual disclaimer: no, it wouldn't have changed the outcome of the war, but it's an interesting hypothesis.
  5. Let us pray, MJ... Long Easter weekend ahead, so...
  6. Good to hear. I've just ordered Storm 333. This was also the first mission that hooked me to CMA.
  7. What I don't get is that for CMCW it's possible to give an exact release date, while for Fire and Rubble we don't even know whether the release is a matter of days, weeks or months. I've said enough about it in the past years and have been ridiculed, insulted and ignored for it. That's okay, since I often have been harsh and offensive. But I don't regret one word and still think Fire and Rubble will go into history as an example of how NOT to produce and promote a new product. We're now in the pre-order phase, we have a release candidate, but still don't know whether we can expect that wonderful e-mail to start downloading our pre-order this evening or in a couple of months...
  8. It has been like this for the past years. 'We're close, very close'. The waiting is torture.
  9. I'm looking for a map or scenario about Tilly-la-Campagne. Did anyone ever make one? Ken Tout wrote his book The Bloody Battle for Tilly about his battle.
  10. We now have a release candidate, no final candidate and even when we had a final candidate, it doesn't mean it's ready for release. So no, another couple of weeks at the least.
  11. Not really my style, subtle. Did you take a look at Veins British foliage helmet yet?
  12. I see. Hopefully the will do the same with medieval total war.
  13. I bet Hitler had a few things to say after he heard the news of the Blücher... On that name rested a curse in WW2 anyway. During the battle of Crete three brothers of the Blücher-family fell as Fallschirmjäger within a couple of hours. The fourth brother died in 1944 due to a hunting accident. In case anyone is interested in that sad story, I can recommend the following book: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Heroes-Death-Blücher-Brothers-Fallschirmjäger/dp/0764346318/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=heroes+in+death&qid=1616679899&sr=8-1 Apart from that the Russians destroyed the grave and desecrated the corpse of the great Feldmarschall Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher (check out my profile picture!), the hero of the German liberation wars and Waterloo, on his Silesian residence in 1945.
  14. Let them have it, Bil, would be great to start the war with an American victory.
  15. Good point. They were light cruisers. One of them, the Leipzig, was rammed by the Prinz Eugen in October 1944 due to heavy fog and only of limited use after that. Btw, there were two heavy cruisers in the Baltics in 1944/45, the Prinz Eugen and the Hipper (though not operational due to battle damage suffered in the Barents Sea), both of the Admiral Hipper-Class.
  16. Doesn't surprise me at all, MJ. I'm beginning to understand why you are so envious of my intimate and frequent affairs with other male forum members. You're lonely!
