Well, Storm 333 has arrived. Typical Osprey with mediocre artwork and good basic info. Worth the money, I would say. Impressive Russian operation.

I don't think most of them needed much persuasion to fight. They knew what was awaiting them. But yeah, between the devil and the deep blue sea.

The Russians usually didn't leave them much choice than to fight. Many members of the Volkssturm were killed after capture or surrender. At many places the Volkssturm fought remarkably well, but against impossible odds. Imagine going to war with an old rifle and five bullets...

Don't forget the battle of Bautzen in which the Polish 2nd army was mauled, one of the last German victories in the East.

What I actually meant is that in this stage I don't want to see 'very', but just an e-mail.

I will always remain a dedicated fan of BFC, that hasn't changed. But the long wait inflicted quite some damage on our 'friendship'. But as soon as I have FR in my greedy (almost wrote that with a 'c') hands I'm willing to forgive and forget.

Delighted to hear you're inspired, X, no SS units, but the HG Panzer division, which is also extremely interesting. But don't forget the 'ordinary' infantry divisions like the 1st (defending their Prussian homeland!) and 50th. They deserve to be remembered for their tenacity and bravery. Good luck with your campaigns!
