There were some Russians ships with turned off transponders in that region just prior to the explosions. They could have placed the explosives or try to remove them. We don't know.

Pro (Russia is the culprit): they tried to evade the fines for not delivering gas by force majeure

Contra: why would they destroy a big source of income?

Yes, but I don't mean they couldn't do it. I meant that they couldn't do it without being caught afterwards. Their track record hasn't been that good lately.

Quite the contrary. The documentary displays the facts as far as they are known to the public and refrains from presenting a conclusion. But it does list the options. That includes those that most of us probably dislike.

With this operation the Russians gained something very important. They showed the West that they are able to blow up this kind of connections. Like a warning. And combined with the intense interest of the Russian navy for Western energy installations at sea (windfarms for instance) quite an effective warning.

Ukraines best hack yet. The broke into some brand of cctv cameras that have speakers. they played the Ukrainian national anthem and recorded people reactions. Absolutely hilarious, a lot of them were terrifed they would be blamed and had bought a one way ticket to Siberia, or Bakmuht.

Amusement, fear and indignation all at once.

Long time since we left the old country. But that incidence made our blood boil. Hear lots of bad things about Mr Rutte hear he is doing something right. Saw all the funeral parlor limousines

on the way to a town called Hilversum. 42 F16's a small price to pay.

Rutte has done many things right actually and is one of the best leaders the Netherlands ever had. It's just the way this stupid little country is rewarding those that dare to lead in a more and more uncotrolable world.

    Me too, me too 😉.

In that list, I am but the bumbling idiot who occasionally gets to test something (and even then I'm a little slow at times).  And I agree with your comment about Mark, I've been trying to reach him for some time...

Anyway Jacob, it's good that you support Phil in his time of partial retirement 😉.

You may underestimate yourself, Tim, but I won't. People like you are the reason why I stick around

The reason why I support Phil is entirely selfish. I'm scared as hell that he's gone one day. And than CM is really in trouble.

I'm worried about Mark. This is not like him at all. Something must be wrong.

    May I make a suggestion?

Create a zzzzz folder in the z directory and then put the Kohlenklau mod files there?

And then see how it looks in game?

    (A FLAK used as a PAK 😉)

Already tried that, Waffelmann, but Phil's mod is 'overruled' by the whitewash modtag.

I just tested the mod on myself and it works.
Since Kohlenklau is very clever in using both snow and whitewahed as the tag, the texture should always show up in light snow.
What does the Pak look like in 1945, January, light snow?

It is the standard rather boring white, as included in the game.

btw Waffelmann, it is the Flak 36 88mm, not the Pak.

    mess with the month

Phil. I found out that January 1945/Germany with the whitewash modtag in place works. But as I said, the downside is that I can't use the 88mm Flak winter mod you made for me some time ago. Is there any way to bypass that? Perhaps another modtag or adjusting the whitewash modtag?

For everyone who missed that superb mod. It can be found here. For me it's a must have.

Doesn't help, Phil. I can use the whitewash modtag, that works, but that way I can't use that lovely 88 mm Flak with winter camo you made for me some time ago. Can't live without that mod anymore. Strange thing is that even with the whitewash modtag, not all vehicles have whitewash. Even more peculiar is that some 251's (same version) have whitewash, some don't.

Not all from the same Type or different types?

In the first case there are not enough snow-bmp-files for the existing variants.

    e.g. you have panzerIV-turrest.bmp, panzerIV-turrest 2.bmp and panzerIV-turrest 3.bmp and only panzerIV-turrest [whitewashed].bmp or panzerIV-turrest [sbow].bmp and no panzerIV-turrest 2 [whitewashed].bmp etcetc...

@Waffelmann, the point is that it worked before. Now for instance some of the 251s don't have whitewash. Very strange.

I've decided to cease my Goldap project for now, Phil, and concentrate on Schirwindt first. Are the above overlays still in your dropbox and if so, can you please give me a link? This one ain't working.

And yes, you were right of course. Goldap is far too complicated for me. ☹️ Perhaps one day in the future.

Edit: I think I found them on my pc, Phil. I couldn't imagine I didn't download them at the time and take a good look at them. They are perfect. Thank you again! I think  there are not many elevations, which makes making a map a lot easier. With Goldap that's an entirely different matter.

Also a big thank you to @Combatintman of course!

@kohlenklau, I thought I found them, but didn't. The ones I found are Combatintman's pictures, which you used for making the overlays. So, please can you post a link to those overlays again?

    Maybe I need a better deodorant? 🤔

Nothing to do with your body odor, Phil, although it's far from pleasant. 😄 It's just that people like you, JM, Vacillitator, LS (where are you, mate?) and Falaise are getting more and more rare on this forum. I've followed your France 1940 mod, and although I'm not very interested in that period, I wonder why it did get so little response, while at the same time quite a few people are asking for a Blitzkrieg 1940 CM. That really puzzles me. Still, I hope you guys don't get discouraged and keep up the good work and wait for better times.

    @Aragorn2002

For you or others training purposes.

I made a few quicky scenario editor overlays for Schirwindt. a bigger 2km x 2km and a smaller 1km by 1km of "northwest Schirwindt"...

I used the old Wehrmacht(?) maps that @Combatintman had shown in another thread.

Try one at at a time for training & practice.

You would need to rename either to just "scenario editor overlay" and put it in CMRT z folder then restart CMRT.

If you then open a new scenario in the CMRT editor, you must change the default starting map size of 320 x 320 to match either 1km by 1km. or <<gulp>>, the big mama 2km by 2km. (I made a little text notation on each image to remind the trainee! 1km x 1km and 2km x 2km)

Use if you want, no worry if you don't. It is in my goodybox so others can also try it to see how it works.
