  1. Some time ago I did watch a documentary about Arnhem and the stories of aerial pictures of German tanks and other heavy equipment in the days before the landings. There are still hundreds of thousands of photos that have to be checked in the archives and til now very, very few pictures have been found on which German tanks are clearly visible. Apart from that, the paras did have anti-tank guns and were considered to be able to hold their ground against enemy tanks to a certain extent. I must say I'm also pretty excited about the Market Garden module.

  3. I think the term Huns was invented by the British anti-German propaganda machine during WW 1, which pictured the Germans as hordes of barbarians, that raped and murdered innocent Belgian and French civilians. Kaiser Wilhelm as Attila the Hun and that sort of nonsense.
  4. First of all the they are called Germans, not Huns. And secondly, even if Market Garden would have been a success, the dutch autumn and German counterattacks would have prevented the Allies from reaching the goals Montgomery was aiming for.
  5. I lost track of all the mods that have been released lately. Can someone tell me what is the best tan and water mod (uniform and helmet) at the moment? Thanks.

  9. Is it possible the road over the some of the stone bridges doesn't seem to fit in properly? Or has that got to do with the editor. I mean the bridges seem to be too high for the roads that are leading over them.

  11. I'm really curious how they are going to represent the bridges at Arnhem and Nijmegen in the MG module. I hope they make a good job of it.
  12. I'm making my first steps in the world of scenario editing today and I'm trying to place some trenches. With other units I can simply rotate with the Face-command, but not with the trenches. Can anyone tell me how to rotate them?
  13. Lovely map. I've started to experiment with the scenario editor for the first time on it. It looks that good.
  14. I prefer the tiny shields portraits. They make the game look very special.

  16. What I would love to see is a series of standard maps, like in the Close Combat-series, so people can make their own battles. Making maps is always preventing me from making a scenario myself.
  17. Looks like you're real good at it. Good map makers are a rare breed. It takes a lot of skill and patience.
  18. Those differences in quality remind me of Panzer Commander Ostfront (Matrix). Some vehicles look superb, some look even worse than the original CMBO vehicles. I really can't understand the decision of a company to release vehicles that are not up to standard. The King Tiger shouldn't be included yet in the Commonwealth module. It is not ready and didn't see much action in Normandy anyway. Having said that, I realize I'm spoiled by the superb quality of most other vehicles. And if the KT wasn't included I would moan about something else....;-D All in all I'm delighted by the looks of this game.
