  1. Good to hear, George. I'm rather frustrated by the lack of new scenarios. I'm sure many of us feel that way. Personally I would prefer an inaccurate recreation of Villers Bocage over none at all, but I can understand why you don't want to touch it. Hopefully one day someone will.
  2. Another question. What is the best way to feed reserves/reinforcements into the (defensive) battle? I understand it largely depends on the situation of the battle, but are there general rules? I sometimes make the mistake of rushing them into battle and make them suffer (perhaps) unnecessary losses.

  5. I do play realtime actually, since I think that is the most realistic. Having said that, I probably should consider playing turnbased games. I used to love watching the battle from all angles playing CMBB and CMAK. Don't know why I don't do that anymore. Especially since CMBN has so much more eye candy to offer.
  6. Chaotic indeed. I have to fight the tendency to concentrate on one or two platoons or tanks and leave the rest of my units to fight for their own lifes. It is almost impossible to keep an eye on all units. Things are happening so much faster than in CM1, the advance of tanks for instance. They look like Formula 1 cars to me sometimes, it's great to see, but it leaves little time to react.

  8. Let's leave the infantry ambush for what it is. What can be said about the positioning of tanks and assault guns in the defence? To my opinion it is quite difficult to counterattack with them, since they immediately draw fire from enemy tanks. I've tried to imitate the good old CMBB-tactics of shoot and scoot, but the enemy is usually reacting very fast. How can tanks and assault guns best be used in the defence?
  9. Will the Normandy 2 module (Market Garden) be ready before the 17th of September? Would be a great way to commemorate.

  11. A long time ago Magua made superb looking Normandy trees for CMBO. Would it be possible to make them for CMBN or are the trees coded (not sure whether that is the correct expression, what I mean is whether it is possible or not to mod them).
  12. What is the best setting for defending troops? Should they hide with or without a cover arc?

  19. I came back from a short holiday and started the German campaign. Almost ducked for cover after starting the first battle. Great stuff.
