  1. It certainly gives us something to gnaw this weekend...;-D
  2. This is the one, Baron. I can't imagine Richard has any objections, but I will ask him anyway. Please wait until I do get his permission. http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=314&func=fileinfo&id=1898
  3. I really, really hope someone can adjust the British helmets with foliage for 2.0. I would really appreciate that.
  4. Did my bit for CM Italy. But it needs more votes, everyone! We need you!
  5. I'm a religious man. And I think that everything will come, as it is meant to be. So let's just rely on BF. To avoid any misunderstanding, I'm not comparing Steve to the Almighty, although it is sometimes hard to keep them apart....;-)
  6. Steve, I really must protest. This is torture. Stop telling us how wonderful the future will be....;-D
  7. Yeah, splendid, they also recreated the attempt on Hitler of 20 July 1944. Very convincing too. Some time ago they were experimenting with shooting a moving target. It proved to be surprisingly difficult, especially when the target, while running, was returning fire, although not very accurate. Reminds me of my time in the dutch army, a long, long time ago. On static targets I performed very good, but as soon as the target was moving it was another story. Took quite some practice to become good at that.
  8. That's why I like to watch Mythbusters. They know how to make things burn...;-)
  9. When you say air to ground will turn up in CMSF 2, you hopefully do not mean AA units will be lacking until then, Steve? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that Flakpanzer and such will turn up in the MG module? Or do you mean the anti-air role of these weapons (not against ground targets) will be implemented in CMSF 2? Glad to hear winter is coming. Even in the Netherlands we have snow at the moment. I miss it on my battlefields.
  10. Excellent. Such maps are essential for this game. I always thought every CM game should be launched with a large number of maps of the most important battlefields, like in the Close Combat series. Fortunately people like you can make that happen, Rokko.
  11. Please don't do that, Michael. If my wife sees this my days at this forum are over...;-D
  12. Gentlemen, the future of us, wargamers, never looked this good. I seem to recall a discussion about the war going on after May 1945, with all kind of new, mostly German, weapons turning up. Hope to see something like that too one day.
  13. Grand map, Rokko. Can't wait to let my Panzergrenadiere make a mess of it. ;-D
  14. Can someone recommend a Taliban mod? I mean a mod which changes the Syrians into Taliban fighters? Afghanistan is still a very interesting theatre of war for me. I'm mainly playing CMBN too, but I still enjoy this game, especially as Brits or Dutchies. Please don't give up on it.
  15. I never could convince myself CMBO was worth buying. It was SO ugly. After buying CMBB (the demo convinced me graphics had improved compared to CMBO) I also bought CMBO, by which time quite a few mods were available. Especially Magua's terrain mods made all the difference.
  16. Sounds like a pretty hard job, Rokko. I salute you and people like you who take up such ambitious projects. I'm sure a lot of people are looking forward to your map.
  17. Any progress with this superb map perhaps? Any screenshot to share?
  18. There's only one solution. We have to win her over. Convince her to play a game against you and let her win. That usually makes my wife enthusiastic about something...
