I think I found the solution. A long time ago I've copied some of the bmp files and gave them the numbers 2, 3 and 6. I must have thought that would just add more moustached soldiers, but apparently it doesn't work like that. i've removed them and I see no more ghosts. I don't understand it, but you probably will, Phil.

In the past month I found two German websites specialized in certain German infantry divisions. They are too good not to share.

Perhaps it has something to do with the chin straps, as you suggested earlier on? I'm also using Veins faces mod, as suggested at the download site.

I think I found it. Those helmets somehow don't combine well with the British moustache mod I'm using. Removed it and now all is well. Strange, but true.

This weekend, the Mapwork for the Partisan-Campaign and for the „Into Hell“-Campaign will be finished. 10 maps, a huge amount of work
Next week, the „Five Bridges“-Campaign will be worked on: 1 Mastermap is finished, 5 maps are in good progress and 4 maps (mostly small ones) exist only on paper right now. May be, during the next 3-4 weeks, I will call again for some testing vomunteers

One weird observation though. One of my British soldiers has turned into a ghost. He has become fosforous green.
Is that something that is known to someone? I mean, has it happened before?

Worked like a charm, Phil. I use Veins British foliage helmets and the mk3 with foliage looks so much better and even looks more like the mk2 with foliage than the one in the game, compared to pictures from 1944. The mk2 with foliage from the game looks more like it has been a target of some angry German pidgeons.
Anyway, very happy with this. Thanks for your help, guys.

ok, so we are going to trick the game to think it reads the mk2 but it really just shows the mk3
make copies of the mk3 mdr and rename as mk2
make copies of the mk3 textures and normal maps and rename as mk2
if the number of mk2's offered is less than the number of mk3's, then you will need to past additional as needed
then slap it all in z and fire up old Bessy
Do you perhaps know in which brz folder I can find the raw files, main mdr and the rest, Phil?

I must say I like big maps, but company sized battles are more and more what I prefer. Moving more than one or two companies is almost a full time job and usually ends up in complete chaos for me.

I had the same problem. I've read somewhere that one first has to remove the Z-folder, but haven't tried it out yet. My advice is to make another (second) install and do some experimenting.
