  1. My problem with you is that I don't have any confidence left in what you say. Too many broken promises. You probably think you're very smart by giving a release date in January, while most people in this community hope for a pre-Christmas release and not for the first time, I might add. Don't you communicate with your boss either? Do you allow Steve to make a public announcement, while you know his promise can't be kept? In my world that would have cost you your position, without a golden handshake. You're not fit for communication as you've proved time and time again.
  2. That has become something of the past, my friend. Nowadays there's only money...
  3. I don't give a ... about what you can or can't live with. It is promised and in my world you keep your promise. Quality control after all these years of waiting? A bloody shambles, that's what this is. This is just a simple module for an existing game. No new game, no new nationalities, no new features, no new theatre of war. Just a simple module. There are no excuses left for the laughable way this module has been handled.
  4. Nonsense. There's nothing to do research on. Just an endless number of excuses and vague remarks. Steve PROMISED the module will be released THIS year. And I still value his word more than that of elvis or any of you for that matter.
  5. Yes, but I agree that it is nothing new. What I want is more news about the coming module, new screenshots and an update on the progress made. And I don't want to hear everybody is working on the scenarios and campaigns, because as Frederic the Great would say that's not more than their verdammte Pflicht und Schuldigkeit (damned duty and guilt). For God's sake, it's December and we're still kept in the dark. What are you afraid of, BF, that the Chinese steal your module, make a copy of it and release it before you can? Is all this secrecy really necessary? Just finally release this module and do it without pre-ordering as a gesture towards those who waited for so long. Or are you indeed as Rocketman suggested planning to release CMRT and this module on Steam and is that the reason for all the endless delay?
  6. One of the books I would try to rescue out of a burning house is The Panther Battalion Brandenburg and it's prehistory as I./PzRgt.26 1944-1945 by Wolfgang Ockert and Axel Urbanke published by Luftfahrtverlag Start. For anyone who's planning to make a scenario on Cherkassy, Budapest, the Oder Front or the Halbe Pocket this book is a treasure trove. Excellent maps, extremely well researched text and lots of great pictures. A must have for every Ostfronter.
  7. Great screenshot, but I would have waited until it was COMPLETELY dark.
  8. I would recommend to buy it in combination with Panzers in Berlin 1945, another excellent book.
  9. It's the same high quality as already shown in Hamilton's Oder front books. You can't go wrong buying it.
  10. From the Realm of a Dying Sun, volume 1 and 2, on the IV. SS-Panzerkorps (Wiking and Totenkopf,, the old rocks in the Ostfront surf) in the Battles for Warsaw and Budapest in 1944-1945 by Douglas E. Nash. Can't praise this author enough. Extremely well written and the perfect companion for the coming module.
  11. Perhaps so, but updating via Steam is easier, I think.
  12. Did you watch the movies about the Prochorovka campaign on youtube? Makes you feel like you're there.
  13. Good to hear. Those people don't mess around. If they make a game, they make a good one. I remember Panzer Elite. Together with Panzer Commander it was great fun.
  14. Nothing can compare to CM in complexity and completness, that's for sure. But Tank Crew looks like an excellent addition.
  15. It's a start. And it looks like a damned good one. To support them I'm going to buy it. I'm pretty sure this game will become a classic. And it does contain planes, I've noticed.
  16. Yes, it is a diferent game, but as Bulletpoint pointed out, this is the first decent WW2 tank sim ever. Lot of tank sims, but all buggy and abandoned after a while. These guys however will finish what they start and will probably add lots of new features, tanks, maps etc.
  17. I think it is. It is part of IL-2 GREAT BATTLES SERIES and those games are very well made and realistic. And they release new stuff on a regular basis.
  18. I would. I didn't ask for an exact release date, just an update on the progress and an expected period of release. Steve announced that the module will definitely be released this year, so answering my question shouldn't be too hard. Telling us that work on the scenarios and campaigns is progressing is hardly information in my opinion. But hey, a new ww2 tank sim has appeared, called Tank Crew, that will keep us busy this winter.
