  1. How would you even go about creating/obtaining pictures for this? You'd need a 360 degree panorama of an unobstructed horizon, which might not be that easy to get... Or am I missing something?
  2. You are right. In Aris' original terrain mods, for some reason he included a "beta" horizon for CMRT which was the same as for CMFI; later he replaced with the one linked above. I deleted the beta horizon and now all is good--the beta horizon was overriding the new horizon... Thanks!
  3. Thanks, I've installed the mod, but am not sure what it has changed. For instance, the background still has large hills that don't look much like Belorussia and towns that look suspiciously Mediterranean: Is the mod loading correctly? Or is it simply impossible to "mod out" the hills and Italian town? Or doesn't the look of the horizon bother anyone else?
  4. The background "horizon" views I'm getting in CMRT look like the mediterranean theater to me, or in any rate not like Belorussia. Has anyone done a mod to replace this background? I've tried searching this forum but either I'm not using the right search terms or there is nothing out there...
  5. I've been asking for the ability to use maps from other base games for a long time. In the meantime will try this workaround.
  6. Is this multitude of buttons really usable? I've looked at getting a gaming mouse in the past but never thought I'd train my fingers to be able to use more than a couple. I actually use a Logitech trackball with just a couple of extra buttons, and usually I don't even use those...
  7. well, ok, not a button per se but a scroll wheel...
  8. Regarding your first point: why yes, there is such a tool: see post #17 in the following thread: http://community.battlefront.com/topic/115504-cmrt-map-database/?hl=database It's not completely up-to-date, I've got to add about ten maps which have come out since it was created.
  9. eh? Let me guess--you've got a Mac? I don't think I've seen a windows mouse without a middle button in a couple of decades...they're kinda useful!
  10. Thanks, I'll keep that AV solution in mind, although until now I've never had a problem with webroot in 6 years, and they whitelisted the program within a few hours once I alerted them to the problem.
  11. Hister thanks. I took a look at your link and noted that it says that "this new system is not using individual module.exe files any more, making it much less prone to anti-virus software false positives." Yeah, oh well... Never had a problem till now.
  12. When I turn off my AV and can run the game, mine shows 1.03.
  13. Thanks, but I'm posting about CMRT, not CMBN, so not sure how that helps?
  14. Can anyone explain what these new security measures are? And putting CMRT on the ignore list didn't seem to work. I've contacted webroot and they are looking into the issue.
  15. hmmm, is something different about this patch? My A/V software (webroot) simply won't let the game run after installing the patch. First time that's EVER happened in several years of use...
  16. I don't have any game profiles, although I think I solved the problem by clicking the "full version" (?) button at the bottom of the front page. Wouldn't it make sense to default to the full version?
  17. I've been travelling the last few weeks and accessing this website on my iPad. I just got back home and when using my home computer, I've found that the middle mouse button has stopped working as it used to on this forum--I've got Chrome set so that it opens a new tab after a middle mouse click, but for some reason this forum both opens a new tab and send the original page to the selected link. I don't have this problem on any other website, I've just double-checked. Does anyone else have this rather annoying problem?
  18. They've stated repeatedly that each east front game (with its modules) will cover one year.
  19. Sounds like a good list; I think this module is due!
  20. Sounds like you've stumbled upon some Heroes of the Soviet Union...
  21. Also, on my iPad threads do not seem to show if thy are new or already read?
  22. I never played Tobruk and am sure that it is a fine game and all, but I always find it strange when people base criticisms of how "realistic" CMRT is based on some other game's rules rather than real-life data. I am sure that tobruk's rules feature more abstractions than CMRT and suspect that you are (not necessarily correctly) equating to ruk's rule so with reality.
  23. Ugh, on my iPad everything is white, bleh
